Villa Bordoni is a sophisticated country house hotel, nestled in the grey-green hills immediately above the town of Greve, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany. This 16th-century noble villa commands an extraordinary vantage point over the unspoiled Chianti hills and their biblical landscape of vineyards, terraced olive groves and forest. The hotel is surround by vast, beautiful gardens, and offers a pool - open from March to October. The in-house restaurant offers lunch and dinner daily, proposing only the very best of Italian and Tuscan cuisine, as well as hands-on cooking classes. All in all, it is a boutique and luxurious, yet relaxed retreat that we hope contributes to help our guests create lasting memories of a great stay in the heart of Tuscany.

We had the absolute pleasure of returning to Villa Bordoni, one of our favourite hotels. We stayed again in the beautifully appointed Montefioralle Room which was every bit as enjoyable as we remembered. As always, Ricardo welcomed us warmly, like old friends, and made sure that we were comfortably settled in. He was also very helpful in providing advice regarding local COVID-19 testing that we needed to satisfy our travel requirements. Ricardo’s correspondence before our visit was excellent and made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were very good and the restaurant for dinner was very cozy and enjoyable, with tasty menu choices. As part of our visit, we had the opportunity to visit Il Guerrino (the restaurant of Catherine, one of the owners of Villa Bordoni), in the neighbouring village of Montefiorelle. We enjoyed a delicious light lunch and an excellent wine tastin. It was an enchanting way to spend an afternoon enjoying good food, great wine, a gracious hostess and an incredible view over the hills and vineyards of Chianti. Our return visit to Villa Bordoni was superb and we look forward to visiting again in the future. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

Hotel's Favourite
I almost don't want to review so it doesn't get harder to book in the future, but I have to say this is by far the best experience we have ever had (and we're very well traveled). The location is beyond stunning. The staff were exceptional - they all knew who we were and our individual needs all week. We also just genuinely enjoyed their company. Our room (limonaia) was absolutely perfect for us with a private patio. The pool is beautiful with lots of room for all. The breakfast in the garden was beyond lovely every morning, and we chose to have every dinner at the villa as well, scrapping other plans after experiencing how delicious the food was (and again with unmatched service). Wine and olive oil from the property were delicious (we took some home). Plenty of accommodations for gluten free. We will 100% be back on our next trip to Italy and probably spend the full visit here. Thanks to all for an unforgettable stay.

Everything about the Villa Bordoni is a bit magical. Extraordinary setting within walking distance of Montefioralle and Greve. Gracious villa furnished in understated comfort with beautiful gardens even in the late fall. Charming and comfortable room with gorgeous view. Charming and interesting team taking care of all. Cooking lesson with eclectic host and talented chef David was a high point. Could not recommend more highly.

The magic of Tuscany is alive and well at the Villa Bordoni. As a special treat for my wife and daughter (who is studying abroad in Florence), I decided to take them to Tuscany to for an epicurean adventure to experience the beauty, food, wines and culture of the region. We couldn’t have picked a better launch point for this experience. The cooking class was SO fun and should not be missed! We made an amazing 4-course gourmet meal. The breakfasts are fantastic including the scent of the addictive croissants that greet you as you come down the stairway in the morning to the lovely breakfast area. Our room was fantastic with beautifully curated furnishings, comfy bed,a lovely huge spa-like bath/shower and soaring vaulted ceilings with stairway that leads to a cute loft/sleeping area. We are so grateful to the staff at Villa Bordoni for making our stay so memorable. Thank you all!

We spent 6 nights at the wonderful Villa Bordoni in mid-November -- it was a fantastic and most memorable experience. The Villa itself is gorgeous - decorated and renovated with great and restrained taste, keeping historic detail while adding every possible modern comfort. Each room is unique, lovely and spacious, many with views out over the Chianti hills. The staff is wonderful - David is the major domo and is always available to help - with tips for wineries to visits or hikes to take, decanters of sparkling water or fresh espresso in the morning. Chef Alberto is a master - meals in the dining room are exception and change in concurrence with the seasons. We took a cooking class from Alberto which was one of the highlights of our month long trip to Italy. My husband is a novice cook, while I have been cooking forever, and we both learned lots from Alberto. Ugo, the sommelier, is most helpful with recommending local wines. One of our favorite parts about our stay was the amazing location in the Chianti hills. It was truly breathtaking, and the many hikes we took through the vineyards and up and down the hills are some of our favorite memories of the place. The lovely towns of Montefiorale and Badia di Passignano are both within walking distance of the villa, as is the larger town of Greve in Chianti, which is home to many wonderful restaurants and Chianti vineyards. We have spent many months at many places in Italy over our lifetime, and we view our stay with the wonderful people at the Villa Bordoni as one of the best ever. We can't wait to go back! Oh!! and I forgot to mention how amazingly quiet it is at night. With the window open, the night is totally silent and the sky filled with stars. The only sounds we heard were the local roosters waking up in the morning - it was perfect.
