I stayed at The Atismar last week. It's a beautifully kept hotel. Immaculately clean with exceptional staff for which nothing is too much trouble. The food is lovely and the rooms are spacious. The receptionists are very knowledgeable about the local area and any trips you'd like to book locally can be booked through them.

The hotel itself is dated and very grubby which is a shame as its location is perfect. Two gentlemen on reception were very helpful. Look out for carlos the bartender as he tries to charge you for hot chocolate at €2 where no one else does and also puts salt in the beer when it is going flat. All-inclusive spirit...

Bad Points Avoid Room 507 - walk in shower - shocking, disgusting, unacceptable - after much discussion we were provided with another room If you wish a balcony room you should telephone to ensure this is provided as not all rooms have balconies Bar area - Also avoid - dirty with stained seating. Drinks and mixers - so bad we...

Stayed at Atismar for the 2nd time, and as before had a great holiday. Food is great, staff are lovely, friendly, polite and helpful. Good location to travel to nearby towns, very close to the bus station. We travelled to albufeira, faro and loule. Walking distance to Villamoura, takes around 40 mins on sea front. Rooms are big and clean...

We didn't get to the hotel till 10pm because our plane was delayed and we were very upset to discover that all inclusive drinks end at 10pm - why is it then called all inclusive ? We found that the food was grim. the continental part of the breakfast was okay but anything cooked was swimming in grease and the...

Get the worst out of the way, the hotel was built in a different era and has ongoing problems with one of the small lifts. Everything else was great value, food good, drinks good (all inclusive) No problem with the bed, perhaps some folk get too used to their own? The staff were friendly and helpful, more than can be...

This was our second holiday in this hotel. It is spotless and the staff are very friendly. Food was plentiful and hot as well as tasty. Rooms were comfortable although they could perhaps do with investing in some new pillows. We will certainly be returning. The only downside would be 1 of the 2 elevators being broken the whole time...

Just got home after a week at Atismar and what an eye opener it was. We went on the All Inclusive package and were not disappointed. The room was a good size with a balcony and was serviced everyday by a very pleasant and efficient young lady. the food was good and we never went hungry and the bar staff...

Spent 4 nights on a B&B basis at this pleasant but basic hotel. Rooms fairly spacious. We requested a room with a double bed and a balcony but got twin beds and no balcony - partial sea view was a bit of a bonus. We requested a change but none available for two nights. However, on day three they did...
