The location is great, the staff are all lovely. The entrance hall is 4* but in my opinion the rooms were not. The breakfast was 4*, there were tongs at all the tables to serve ourselves (in a lot of hotels now you cant serve yourself at the buffet) so this was great. Great selection of fresh fruits and lots of choice. The view was nice from the sea view rooms. Some very annoying things in the rooms for a 4* hotel ☹ it is a shame as they are very simple things to fix. My suggestion is someone from the hotel sleep in a few different guest rooms to see how a guest feels. If I had slept well the 1st night until I had to come up with some fixes maybe all these little things would not matter but it was the worst night’s sleep i ever had :( The air conditioning in the rooms s very loud and it goes off at random times (like a train noise), I got woken at 11, 1am and 5am, you can not turn off at the control panel, the only way to avoid this is to take the card out at night, I had to discover this alone. One receptionist said to me “It’s a hotel so i should not expect to sleep as well as I would at home!” For me it is a vital thing to sleep well in a hotel! Beware also on the 8th floor there are huge air conditioner outside in the hall that make a lot of noise and seems also some noise from the hot tubs machines on the 9th floor. As soon as you put the card in the hotel room electricity card slots the TV comes on (every time) at full volume (even if you had the volume low when you went out) which is very annoying if you arrive at 1am and have to run to turn down the volume. I unplugged the TV to avoid this but it should not come on so aggressively. Bottom sheets move around as they are just flat sheets, they should use proper fitted sheets. The showers were cold in both rooms I stayed in, almost to the point of after running water for over 5 minutes I almost gave up but I was brave, it felt like being at a camping site. No shampoo, I was told it was in the soap dispenser in the bath, they should write this so we know it’s a 2in1 product. Just bars of soap, disinfectant wipes and shower caps as complimentary toiletries. No hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels, you can chuck them on top of the rack where the clean towels but we all like to dry our towels separately I think. Even some hooks just inside the door of the room, in stead of having to go to the wardrobe to hang things, guests want fast options for their coats and bags.

Room Tip: Avoid 8th floor if a huge aircon on ceiling outside, if the bathroom has glass doors and window...

Excellent staff, Rita & team friendly polite & professional. Good breakfast, clean rooms, great value for money. Located behind the first row of beach hotels so would recommend room with Sea view to enjoy outright.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel with another couple of two weeks, the hotel and staff cannot be faulted in anyway. Had an issue with the room on the 1st night but once this was reported to reception they moved our room without any hassle or fuss. All Covid-19 restrictions are fully followed and you are made to feel totally safe in the hotel. Special mention to Monica on reception who was extremely helpful and even managed to sort us out a breakfast to take with us to the airport as we had an early flight. I can’t wait for my next visit to this hotel

myself and husband stayed for 10 nights and was a little disappointed in the room we had been given, very stuffy and the mattress was hard and pillows soft which left us with backache and neckache every morning which wasn't nice. The breakfast wasn't hot but cold and not a lot of choice. The gym wasn't open and never had a courtesy shower room for the end of our stay, we checked out at 11 and flight wasn't until 8.45 when we asked about a shower they told us to use the outside pool shower which i wasn't happy to do where other guests are swimming and sitting around watching. The bar was never open and nowhere to chil and drink so had to go out each night. The hotel is next to a run down hostel which has people asking for money and just really unsettling and made me feel very uncomfortable.i would never stay there again and think we paid to much for what we got.

Booked a weekend break to Portugal arriving on 31st Jan, departing on 2nd Feb. I emailed the hotel prior to our arrival to check that all was ok (Brexit day had moved from October to January 2020 and we weren't sure how it would affect us). I informed them that the trip was to celebrate my husbands birthday (without the kids....yay!!!) and they emailed me back the same day to confirm our reservation and reassure me that all was well. By the time we touched down in Portugal it was 8pm and although the journey from the airport to the hotel was only 25 mins, we had to wait for the shuttle bus we booked privately. Reception is open 24/7 and when we arrived we were greeted by a lovely young lady who was very polite, efficient and spoke good English. She gave us the card to our room which was on the 9th floor and we made our way up in the lift (the lifts are very small). When we got to our room we were amazed at how beautiful the room was. My husband and I promptly whipped out our phones to take pictures! We couldn't really see outside because it was dark but we could hear that we were near the sea. On one of the tables was some goodies (fresh fruit, pastries and a bottle of bubbly) but we weren't sure if we would be slapped with a bill if we touched it so we thought we should check with reception.......we were on our way out anyway to get some food because we hadn't eaten since leaving the UK. When we asked about the goodies at reception we were informed that they had provided it complementary as it was my husbands birthday. WOW, how lovely of the hotel to provide that special, personal touch. The next morning we opened the curtains to a wonderful view of the beach/sea. JUST AMAZING! Breakfast is buffet style and is what you normally get in Europe, no disappointments there. As a black couple we didn't feel out of place and all the hotel staff were so welcoming. We had no issues with the local restaurants either. Such a lovely place with lovely people. We would definitely go again. The weather was good considering it was January/February (17-19C) and although I needed a cardigan, we didn't have to wear coats. PROS: close enough to the airport. Plenty of spots to eat along the sea front. Bathroom was clean. The view was fab!! I can't speak for other rooms on other floors but our room/suite on the 9th floor was really lovely (see pics). CONS: We was told room service would cost £13 to have whatever we ordered from the bar menu delivered to our room. So we ordered at the bar and came back down to collect it. Minor niggles: we couldn't figure out how to control the heating so during the night we got really hot but as it was January, it didn't really matter much. I'm not sure if I would take the kids as there wouldn't be much for them to do except go the beach everyday, which isn't a bad thing I suppose. We did drive past a water park with slides etc. on our way back to the airport, it was around a 10 min drive away. Airport transfers to and from the hotel -round trip , booked via the hotel was 41euros (quoted by hotel). Booked privately via a third party site it was 17 euros round trip (for the both of us so 8.50 each).
