We enjoyed your stay in there. Good buss connections to nearby cities. Place was clean and nice, good value. Yard was full on flowers and greens and nice looking trails. Noises from the corridor was heard pretty much to our room, that was only minus.

As stated by others, this hotel promises much on arrival appearances, and delivers far less. We stayed out of season, which is relevant. Reception is grandiose with soft seating - but as its the only place to get wifi (which is free) it is full of people just starring at screens! In the current age, wifi should be available in...

Great location but standard of the room could be better. Rooms were not renovated for a long time. However the view from the room was nice. Hotel staff really nice and helpful. Location perfect - close to markets, restaurants, bus stop and near Funchal.

Far away from Funchal (hotel doesn't have a courtesy bus), with nothing interesting around. Located on a high cliff thus the access to the beach is only by a rather expensive cable-car. Hotel of very low quality. Staff (especially receptionists) were extremely rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. Bathroom smelly and dirty with dripping taps. Use of a kitchen in the room...

The brochure told us Garajau was a 'quaint village', which it wasn't. It was rather more reminiscent of a small concrete precinct of the '70s. That said for the five days we spent there we did enjoy it and found some good bars and restaurants. The Dom Pedro had gorgeous and clean public areas, very promising. The rooms were tired...

Nice hotel, shame it was not nearer the city but bus link very good despite a large break in the middle of the day. Would have been nice to be have been on the tour route. Beds were big but a bit creaky. Very clean and the swimming pools were great but cold at times. Entertainment at night would have...
