Myself and my wife last stayed at this hotel a few years ago when it only offered on a half board basis and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This time we were on the all inclusive package and were not disappointed - quite easily the best all inclusive hotel we have visited. We could not fault any part of our 2...

Food, room, service all excellent. Lovely pools, nice location on pebble beach, courtesy bus to Funchal. Would recommend the cable car. Brilliant views and very quiet. We changed rooms as the first one was not to our taste. This was done without any problems. Reception are excellent. Very wide range of food. Good quality and hot where required. Waiter service...

An excellent hotel with amazing staff, it is situated halfway between Funchal and Madeira Airport. Although the location is quiet, the hotel has everything you need for a great, relaxing holiday. While the majority of the guests were middle aged to elderly, there were some younger people, too. The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean, with nice views. We booked...

This was our third New Year visit to this hotel. It is still as good as our first visit and does not seem to deteriorate in quality or service. Again many of the staff and guests were there last year and before giving a very comfortable and familiar experience year on year. Why not go again? Can't wait!

Second visit to this hotel and it didn't let us down. The food is of a very good quality with an excellent choice at dinner, you are asked to choose an early or late dinner and appointed a table. All meals are buffet style, drinks are served to you at the table by staff who are friendly and helpful. The...

I was here for a 5 day break - best customer service I have come across in any hotel. Lovely food with an excellent choice and high quality ingredients. Hotel location was a little isolated and the clientèle tended to be over 60. Rooms were really good and housekeeping was excellent - everywhere was spotless. Would definitely return.

Super hotel but rooms a bit tired now but very clean. Hotel staff excellent. Food and choice really good for all inclusive but this was spoilt by the quality of the wine. No one expects too much quality on this type if holiday but the wine on offer was pretty awful. Would probably not book a Riu hotel again unless...

We returned to Madeira on 4th January 2016, having previously visited the island on two occasions. The Riu Palace added another dimension to our experience. The hotel is ideally situated on a secluded promenade for a peaceful holiday yet with easy access to Funchall via the hotel courtesy bus or public transport. Cleanliness is clearly cherished as is excellent food...
