Well located with cafes and places to eat nearby. Free parking is available nearby and you can park at the hotel for 12 euros.
We had double room with breakfast included. When we arrived at the room there was a bad smell, we told you, they came to check and changed us to another room without carpets and perfect. Comfortable bed, the only thing that was not double bed, but two beds together.
Excellent breakfast! Abundant, varied nothing to ask for.
Downstairs is the friends kitchen which has a bit of everything, it is mid-range.
We had dinner two nights, once salmon and potatoes and vegetables 23 € each. I thought it was a little expensive, salmon was fine but the rustic potatoes tasted like overheating. Fantastic staff. Of course, a coffee to go 3€

Gym: You don't get your gym card activated when you enter so if you plan to go to the gym you comment on it at check in because if you don't arrive you can't enter. He's got the basics, enough for us and both times we went there was only one person.
We didn’t get to go to the Spa, although if we were taught it, it’s not very big but it’s limited to 10 people and with calling you tell you how many people there are. There is no bathrobe in the room but they lend it to you when you book the spa, you only have to wear swimming trunks, flip-flops and hat.

Absolutely wonderful hotel with very friendly staff. I was in Porto for a conference and was unable to book the conference hotel. The Holiday Inn was suggested as an alternate hotel! WIN! The morning breakfast was more than ample with variety.

Inn 15/20 min walk from metro, parking available on site (fee applies). Clean and comfortable room. We stayed 3 nights, changed rooms to get a better view. Take river view , you will not have the highway in front of you (and the noise that goes with it). The welcome is friendly, the restaurant is Best Value Award, the breakfast is rich and varied. Too bad the pool access is paid (can be included in the Award of the suites...)A good drop-off point away.

The hotel is good for tourists that are part of a bus tour. Its location is NOT convenient for older guests as it is located too far away from the old part of Porto and the banks of the Douro River. To get to the hotel you either take the tram from downtown and then walk for 20 minutes or you walk up the steep hill from the river for at least 50 minutes.

The hotel itself is an ugly highriser visible from all over town with rooms starting on the 12th floor. We stayed for four nights in a suite on the 12th floor and had a tenant in the apartment below our window who smoked (with the smoke entering our room) and making loud banging noises, sometimes in the middle of the night.
The staff of the hotel is well trained, polite and friendly and was fully familiar with the misbehavings of the tenant below our suite. Therefore the question arises why this suite was rented to us in the first place. Our compensation request was acknowledged and after 6 weeks we finally did receive 25.000 IHG points, representing approx. 10% of our invoice, which to us is hard to accept considering the circumstances of our stay.

I loved this hotel although on first impression you may think its too far away from Porto and doesnt look very attractive from the outside its really whats inside that counts.

The breakfast was amazing inc GLUTEN FREE corner with cornflakes & croissants 🙌🙌

The shower in the room had great pressure, an Iron that actually was better than the one at home, a fridge, great Wifi and comfy pillows. Complimentary water and kettle in room.

Room service, Housekeeping all 1st class and the jewel in the crown was Patricia in the spa!! Best massage yet. Its the staff that make this hotel. Dont worry about location UBER is 2 minutes away and this hotel will save you hundreds of pounds compared to porto old town. Great break away. Thank you.

What a lovely facility. We had planned to stay for a couple of nights, but I injured my knee and could not walk, so we stayed for five nights. The staff was so helpful and accommodating. We were on the 21st floor which provides a lovely view of Gaia. Parking is on site, either in one of the few spots at the front or the attached garage. The room was large, nicely appointed, and had ample storage. The breakfast buffet is generous for both hot an cold, and there is a cook available for custom omelets or other eggs. We had a couple of late lunches, which were delicious especially the spaghetti bolognese. The wine selection is good, and the serving staff is excellent. This facility is modern, clean, and a short taxi ride to Porto.

I felt very safe. One can see that every space, room and even the elevator are taken care of so one can feel at home and in a safe environment. The reception staff Sofia and Alexandre were extremely professional and very supportive and friendly as I was alone due to a health problem. I felt that if I had needed something, they would provide me with whatever I needed. Thank you both of them for their help. I will certainly recommend this hotel not only because it has an exceptional view of the city but also because it is worth the money. Finaly, the hotel offers a very reasonable variety of breakfast options considering the safety conditions!

Came for a conference, which was well organised and they provided good food with good AV support. (Apart from the coffee, which is universally dreadful.)
The staff are lovely and helpful.
Please be aware that this hotel is no where near anywhere for a sightseeing visit.
Breakfast is chaotically busy and the staff struggle to keep up with demand. As do the lifts and you can wait over 5 mins at the wrong time in the morning.
The beds are very hard and the shower is a joke. You can’t regulate the temperature and the flow comes and goes randomly . As someone else has said, the set up is dangerous and the grab handle in our room was loose. The air con works when it feels like it.
Having said that, it is clean and the massage was good. The views on one side of the hotel may be lovely- we were on the wrong side.

We loved it. We were super comfortable in a duplex room, very spacious, very clean, and with good views of the city.
There is parking at the door, and the outside area also seems quiet to park.
It also has a covered garage, with ample access for large cars and large spaces. Access to the hotel from the garage is direct.
It has a bar in the hotel itself where they serve very good food for lunch or dinner (we ate a very good mulled rice).
To put a but, the reception staff is not especially friendly, and the coffees were at €2.10.
As an anecdote, Benfica stayed there when they went to play a game and we matched them.

I found the room extraordinary, very spacious, very comfortable, the only small negative will be the fact that we had booked two rooms and one person for health reasons could not come and they refused to refund and then the checkin was really complicated, because incompetent staff was at the front desk. In addition I had requested the sending of the invoice by email which had been accepted at the time of checkin and not executed at the time of Checkout. Breakfast is full but the quality is really very much below a 4 star.. I recommend just for the quality of the bedding and the area of the rooms.
