Perched on a hill 1,000 feet above sea level with beautiful ocean views, this whitewashed village of a few thousand people has the reputation of being the most scenic village in Spain. It is very hilly! There is a little train that takes you around town for 3 euros. Not worth it! Just walk slow and enjoy. Every view is...

Our visit to La Perla was one of the highlights of our month long trip to southern Spain. My husband and I spent three amazing days and evenings in this wonderful bed and breakfast, located on the outskirts of the spectacular town of Frigiliana. We stayed in the beautiful Garden Room, with its private patio overlooking the exquisite backyard. Benno...

There is a well stocked honesty bar and prices are very reasonable. The drive to get here off the main road is challenging but...

Delicious breakfast cooked to order and very well presented. Well stocked honesty fridge/kitchen at reasonable prices. Welcoming owners, Miranda & Benno. Fabulous pool and gardens with comfortable sun loungers and parasols,...

This is one of the best B&Bs we have ever visited. On arrival we were upgraded to the Garden Suite and it was one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever seen. The garden is lovely and the breakfast delicious. If you want to relax at the end (or beginning or all the way through) your holiday this is...

Beautiful little place with amazing hosts. Very clean and quiet. The breakfasts were fantastic and we were even given one to-go on the morning we left. One of the nicest places I've stayed in with some of the nicest hosts I've ever met. One tip - do not take Google map's shortest route to Frigiliana. We lost part of our...

We absolutely loved our stay at La Perla. It was the perfect place to unwind, the setting is gorgeous, in a valley below Frigiliana with a sea view and beautiful pool. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house has beautiful furnishings, all so very tasteful. The breakfast was delicious, fresh bread and croissants delivered fresh every morning, freshly squeezed...

Loved our stay here & the pool & our warm welcome from Remco, Andre and their lovely dog Hugo. Dog sitting during a festival evening was a pleasure and it earned us an evening pizza! The honesty kitchen list enabled us to help ourselves to drinks & basic snacks & to feel more at home! One suggestion - a visible...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located in the 'Campo' of Frigiliana you will find the beautiful estate "Los Tejanos' On this estate that covers over 25000 m² 'Cortijo La Perla' is situated. This original cortijo (=farmhouse) is completely renovated and equipped with all modern conveniences. The detached house with private garden and large swimming pool offers complete privacy. This romantic home has soothing atmosphere which includes a dining area to it with a large open kitchen. The three bedrooms all include their own personal bathroom including toilet, and can support 6 people comfortably. A washing machine, a completely furnished kitchen and outdoor kitchen with barbeque all add to the luxerious feeling of having your own home in sunny Spain. There are several patio’s and terraces with seating and comfortable sun-beds. In and around the entire property a free WiFi connection is available. Our "cortijo" is an hour's drive from Malaga Airport in the beautiful and unspoilt Andalucia. The location is a great base for visits to eg: Granada, Seville, Malaga, Ronda and of course fashionable Marbella. Also in the winter months it is wonderful skiing on the Sierra Nevada. The house is situated in a rural area between Nerja and Frigiliana. These places are both reached within 10 minutes from Cortijo La Perla. Frigiliana is an idyllisch and typical Andalusian village located north of Nerja. It was built against a mountainside and has retained its historical character and charm over time and a stroll through the winding, picturesque streets is definitely recommended. Frigiliana has plenty of nice terraces with stunning views. It is therefore not surprising that Frigiliana has several times been voted the most beautiful village in Spain. Nerja is on the Costa del Sol, about 50 kilometers east of Malaga. Nerja has approximately 16 kilometers of beach on which you can practice plenty of water sport activities. In the center of Nerja you will also find the Balcon de Europa, a promenade atop a cliff with a beautiful view point. From here you have a magnificent view over the Mediterranean Sea and allows you to see Africa in the distance. East of the city are a series of small beaches and secluded coves, separated by cliffs and other rockeries. Outside Nerja you will find the Cueva de Nerja (stalactite cave) where many archaeological finds have been made and where murals of 20,000 years old were found. The cortijo is situated in a rural location. A car is necessary to reach the location. ... more   less
