Located in the 'Campo' of Frigiliana you will find the beautiful estate "Los Tejanos'

On this estate that covers over 25000 m² 'Cortijo La Perla' is situated. This original cortijo (=farmhouse) is completely renovated and equipped with all modern conveniences. The detached house with private garden and large swimming pool offers complete privacy.

This romantic home has soothing atmosphere which includes a dining area to it with a large open kitchen. The three bedrooms all include their own personal bathroom including toilet, and can support 6 people comfortably. A washing machine, a completely furnished kitchen and outdoor kitchen with barbeque all add to the luxerious feeling of having your own home in sunny Spain. There are several patio’s and terraces with seating and comfortable sun-beds. In and around the entire property a free WiFi connection is available.

Our "cortijo" is an hour's drive from Malaga Airport in the beautiful and unspoilt Andalucia. The location is a great base for visits to eg: Granada, Seville, Malaga, Ronda and of course fashionable Marbella. Also in the winter months it is wonderful skiing on the Sierra Nevada.

The house is situated in a rural area between Nerja and Frigiliana. These places are both reached within 10 minutes from Cortijo La Perla.

Frigiliana is an idyllisch and typical Andalusian village located north of Nerja. It was built against a mountainside and has retained its historical character and charm over time and a stroll through the winding, picturesque streets is definitely recommended.

Frigiliana has plenty of nice terraces with stunning views. It is therefore not surprising that Frigiliana has several times been voted the most beautiful village in Spain.

Nerja is on the Costa del Sol, about 50 kilometers east of Malaga. Nerja has approximately 16 kilometers of beach on which you can practice plenty of water sport activities.

In the center of Nerja you will also find the Balcon de Europa, a promenade atop a cliff with a beautiful view point. From here you have a magnificent view over the Mediterranean Sea and allows you to see Africa in the distance.

East of the city are a series of small beaches and secluded coves, separated by cliffs and other rockeries. Outside Nerja you will find the Cueva de Nerja (stalactite cave) where many archaeological finds have been made and where murals of 20,000 years old were found.

The cortijo is situated in a rural location. A car is necessary to reach the location.

Loved staying in the garden room here at La Perla. We stayed 3 days with our son who was 9 months old at the time. Our room was perfect- so roomy and had the ability to be dark at any time of the day (for my son's naps). The crib they provided was excellent and he's never slept better in any other travel crib! We loved the honesty bar, the pool, breakfasts, going into town (our favorite restaurant was The Garden). Ugh it was incredible- take me back!!

The property is a gorgeous traditional Spanish ranch house with a pool and gardens. There is still a working ranch over the wall so you can see the horses. The bed was very comfortable and the room was well decorated. The shower was also powerful and hot. All rooms are now ensuite which was not stated in previous reviews. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of fresh produce and table service outside. There is also an honesty bar with wine, beer and snacks. As stated on the website this is only a bed and breakfast and no other meals are provided. This was the only negative as it would be nice to have the option to stay in for the day.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights. It a wonderful property, with wonderful hosts. Set down in a valley below Frigiliana it’s such a peaceful location, but the drive down to the property from the main road, is not for the faint hearted. It’s a single track road which is steep and windy for around 3kms I would say. Once at the property, it’s beautiful. The only nuisance were the flies that would bug you if you were sat out in the garden by the pool. As there are horses stabled in a next door property. But in the afternoons we had the garden and pool to ourselves. The breakfasts are lovely, and drinks and snacks are available from the property throughout the day. Beautiful place, ideal for a peaceful getaway.

Wow where do I start... From arrival driving down the winding road past copious amounts of mango and avocado trees we arrived at the most stunning villa I had ever seen and in the most beautiful setting. The last time I had visited was over 10 years ago and was apprehensive to if it would live up to my brilliant memories of last time. Well after the scenic drive down and warm greeting from Miranda I knew we would be just fine. The photographs of this beautiful place do not do it justice and the hosts Miranda and Benno are extremely accommodating, flexible, informative and really friendly which is just everything you want and more. The breakfast lived up to mine and my families standards and with my Father being a chef this isn't usually an easy task but it was faultless and extremely tasty along with the lunchtime salads and platters that are also available upon request. Miranda and Benno also helped whenever we had any issues with taxis etc and they seem to have a real influence on the area which again was an added bonus. To some this place and stay up in a short sentence would have to be that this has been one of my greatest family holidays with fantastic food, drink, views and hosts ! I will definitely be returning thanks Miranda and Benno- The Benson Family :-)
