An older style hotel but to be honest, much nicer than a modern equivalent. Wonderful staff and great breakfasts. We had a corner room overlooking the pool and the plaza opposite. Great people watching platform. This was only a two night stay as we were on a flying visit for family reasons but would absolutely book this hotel again.

This was our choice of place to stay for just the one night and it served its purpose brilliantly. It is an older hotel but comfortable and the staff very helpful indeed. Location – perfect it is right on the edge of the old town and very easy to find by road. Everything is walking distance and it really couldn’t be better. There is a multi story car park straight opposite but we just dropped the cases off and parked on the street a couple of hundred metres away free of charge for our entire stay. Rooms – we paid for a superior room which proved to be a good choice. It’s actually had two sitting out areas which was brilliant to watch the sunset and sunrise and enjoy a glass of wine whilst doing so. The air-conditioning was just about good enough and the bed quite comfortable. There were hot drinks making facilities and a safe but I think you needed to buy the key from reception for this. The bathroom had everything you needed and, if you open the windows, you’ve got a wonderful view of the village and the mountains which was a bonus. Wi-Fi – free of charge for unlimited devices another decent standard. It reached just about everywhere in the hotel except the pool. Food – there is a nice restaurant in the hotel but so many others in the village we didn’t bother with it. We did have breakfast though which was surprisingly good to say it was a buffet. Good quality coffee and juice and nice meat and cheese as well. Pool area – only quite small but very comfortable and we used it quite a bit. Great views of course!.

Reception area is ok and service friendly. Paid parking €10 per day. Hotel is old and rooms very tired. Double bed is actually 2 beds pushed together. Bathroom and water pressure average …old and dated. Location is good as it sits between the old and new town. Would not return and would seek a B&B in the old town next time.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during our stay at Frigiliana. The hotel is easy to find and there is underground 24hr car parking directly opposite the hotel for €10/24hrs, making for an easy walk with luggage. The hotel is perfectly located. Our room looked out to the mountains and the old town, less than a 2min walk to the old town and a short walk to the new town. The rooms are well sized, clean, efficient aircon and we had a small balcony. Breakfast was varied and more than enough to start the day. Everything about this hotel is wonderful and we would definitely recommend staying here. On check in we were given 1 key. We later went back to ask for a second key, for a map and to enquire where the pool is located. At the time the receptionist was unhappy with having to stop talking with a collage to assist with our enquires. After our first day, we left 1 key in the room to allow the aircon to run while we were out walking to provide a cool room on return. On returning our ‘other’ room key would not allow us access to the room - we had to return to reception to have it reactivated. Our 2nd key had been taken from the room, therefore the room was extremely hot after being out all day. It appears the cleaners have cleaned the rooms taken our key from the slot and given it to reception, causing our room key to be cancelled. The same lady as check was at reception who stated the key must have been near our mobile, causing it to stop working - this was not the case. These two points are the only small annoyances we had, which are very minor, but nonetheless frustrating. Regardless, we would still recommend this hotel for its location, plunge pool, ample breakfast and close proximity to parking.
