Positives. Exceptionally clean and well run. Excellent staff Negatives. Despite the many 'rave' reviews we found the food very dull and 'OK' at best. Breakfast was only the usual fare with nothing special and the same each day. Dinner was very disappointing indeed with overcooked dry meat, grill items that were very repetitive, boring cheap vegetables such as carrots, sprouts,...

Sadly this place was not what we expected. Not enough sunbeds for guests especially as lots of people reserve them for the whole day with their towels. Having signs around saying that this is not allowed is pointless if no one actually enforces it. Both swimming pools were COLD to the say the least. So we never even went in...

We booked this holiday very last minute and have undoubtedly been to some really nice hotels over the last 5 years or so. On the face of it, this actual hotel could be quite nice if you ignored the scenes reminiscent of the programme 'Benidorm' as soon as you walk out of the hotel (Cala Bona is more a fish...

We chose the Hotel Gran Sol because of the good reviews and high spec on the tour operator’s web site. It is a very good hotel, although we were disappointed with our room. We booked a twin room with balcony and sea view. First impressions were of a clean and modern hotel, ideally situated between the main street in Cala...

Recently returned after spending three nights at this lovely hotel. It was my first visit to Mallorca, but after the wonderful hospitality shown by all the staff there, it won't be my last. The check-in at reception was good, despite a short wait while the room was made ready. Gave me time to enjoy a complimentary drink. The guy at...

Booked a quick week away in Majorca as I had heard such great things about the island, thank goodness we booked into the Gran Sol! Lets start at the beginning, arrived at the hotel, met by extemely friendly and professional staff, super clean reception, went up to the room and was extremely impressed, large room, spacious bathroom, one of the...

Lovely hotel, great food and great staff, however the price Thomson charge is extreme. We added up the flight price, the hotel price and a taxi transfer and it came to less than half the price we paid to Thomson, without any discount negotiation! This sort of mark up is unacceptable and means we effectively paid one thousand pounds a week...
