MarSenses Ferrera Blanca Hotel is celebrated for its family-friendly atmosphere, with a plethora of activities and entertainment that cater to all ages, though some guests find the noise level disruptive. While the hotel's location earns high marks for its closeness to beaches and local amenities, opinions on value for money are mixed, with criticisms of costly extras and the all-inclusive package. Guests commend the staff's service but have called out inconsistencies in room cleanliness and maintenance. The amenities, including various pools, are popular, yet some suggest they could be enhanced.

We’ve just returned from a week here with children aged 6 and 10. We booked this holiday 2 weeks before travelling and got a very good deal for an all inclusive week in an apartment that sleeps 4. The appartment had a small kitchen area, fridge, hob, crockery, cutlery and a coffee machine. There was a lovely bathroom with shower, an bedroom with twin beds pushed together and a living area with sofa that was two additional beds. There seemed to be a wide variety of room types in low rise blocks that together, build a fairly large complex. The site itself is on a variety of levels, built into a hillside. There are 4 different pool areas, the kids pool is amazing and feels very safe - all pools had lifeguards. There is entertainment available during the day for kids and adults. The pitch of the kids entertainment was more geared towards younger than school age, but that may have been because most kids there were this age.
The hotel has 2 snack bars and a main restaurant, this was my only downside. I’m a vegetarian and while there were a large selection of meat and fish daily, there wasn’t very much for vegetarians. Breakfasts were great thought, pizza bar was good and staff lovely. Good selection of cocktails, beer, spirits, slushies, juices ice creams as all inclusive.
Hotel is approx 5 minute walk from a selection of restaurants and shops, with main town about a 10-15 min walk. Kids enjoyed happy park- small complex set up with inflatables, go karts, trampolines etc.
would definitely recommend this hotel as great for families!

Having been to the sister hotel in Palma Nova with couples, we decided to go as a family to the Ferrera blanc hotel all inclusive. Wow, it didn't disappoint.
The reception staff were extremely friendly. We checked in earlier then expected with no problems and Pau on reception was exceptionally helpful with towels , WiFi etc!
When entering our room (we opted for the apartment!) It was bright, spacious and clean!
More the enough space for the 4 of us!
The pools were all clean and the splash pool for the kids was beautifully designed. Unfortunately my son had a fall around the pool (his own fault!) And the lifeguard was extremely quick to help.
The food buffets had something for everyone and was very tasty. The snackbar was a winner for us and the poor chef worked tirelessly to get out hot fresh pizzas, burgers and hot dogs!
The waiter Javier Ángel was absolutely fantastic with the kids and us, very pleasant and friendly.
My children didn't use the kids club but enjoyed the evening entertainment.
The hotel is in a perfect location, 2 mins from the beach and a lovely strip of classy restaurants, bars and souvenir shops a few meters from the hotel.
We will be back X thanks Ferrera Blanc!

Marsenses review:

We have just returned from a week stay and whilst we mainly chose this hotel for the kids splash pool (we have a 2 & 4 year old so wanted something shallow and safe where they could play without us having to be in the water with them the whole time) we were rewarded with so much more!
The hotel has 4 pools, all of which are lovely with plenty of comfortable sun loungers and parasols.
The water is cold, as expected early in the season, but you soon get used too it.

The hotel offers apartments or suites, we chose an apartment so that we had a separate bedroom to the children.
Ours was in F block which overlooked the kids splash pool.
It had a very comfortable bed, 2 sofa beds for the children, a lovely powerful shower and large sunny balcony.
The kitchenette had a kettle & coffee maker, microwave and hob and was well kitted out with all crockery, cutlery, cups, pans etc.
We didnt do any cooking during our stay but it was nice to have the option too if we needed it with the children.

The food was great and with so much variety and always plenty of fresh fruit and salads.
Whether you just fancy a salad with some grilled meats and fresh breads, or some cheeses and antipasti style meats right through to delicious theme nights throughout the week including mexican, indian, asian and spanish paella, everything was delicious and there really was something for everyones taste… including a fussy 2 year old!

The handmade stonebaked pizzas from the snack bar were delicious and cooked fresh, as were the other options such as Hake sticks, chicken nuggets and fries.
It was a nice option if you didnt fancy leaving the poolside for lunch to go to the main restaurant.

Drinks menu is extensive and of good quality and there is something for everything to enjoy from cocktails, gin & Tonic, beer, sparkling wine and jugs of Sangria all included.

Every single member of staff were super friendly and helpful. The chefs made an effort to make the kids smile at meal times and often came over to say hello.
The housekeeping staff worked so hard and always had a smile and “good morning”.
Reception and bar staff so helpful and warm.
Kids team were fab and the evening mini disco was the childrens highlight… we’re still all humming the songs now!

We only made it to 2 of the evenings entertainment since it was quite late, but the circus duo on the Friday night were amazing and so worth keeping the kids up late to watch it.

Cala D’or itself it a bustling place with lots of lovely little beaches within walking distance and shops/ cafes a plenty.
There are good bus links to explore further afield too.
We would not hesitate to return to this hotel and would highly recommend.
Keep up the good work team!

Having stayed in many Spanish all inclusive hotels before, I was hooked into booking this particular one due to some of the more luxury elements advertised when I booked......particularly Solarium , adult only pool , a la carte dining, choice of restaurants.

Sadly I was met with a disappointing experience. Whilst management thanked me for highlighting that they were still advertising many facilities that no longer existed, the 'compensation' they offered me of an a la carte meal off site or 165 euros credit to rebook with them direct was far from fitting.

What I would like to make future holiday makers aware of is that this hotel is reminiscent of Butlins and lacks any class.

Whilst I don't dispute that your younger children will probably have lots of fun here with the energy of some of the staff there were many elements that did not hit the mark with me, for the prices marsenses charge.

Sunloungers are shoulder to shoulder around the pools and are grubby in appearance and could do with an upgrade.

Not enough parasols on site. Most had operating issues.

Toilets by the snack bar / restaurant were not maintained enough for their heavy demand.

Some rooms / suites allocated are utilitarian and outdated - showing signs of heavy wear and general upkeep neglect.

Disappointingly only one small location exists on site to obtain evening drinks, which involved queueing.

Restaurant and separate snack bar both had 'service station' ambience. Food options were tirelessly repetitive and uninspiring. Still left scratching my head over the advertised "show cooking". Be prepared to queue at peak times for food with your family.

The advertised pool rules were not routinely encouraged by staff. Lots of smoking around the pools took place with no signs of ashtrays. Some guests chose to vape in the pools which was unchallenged. I found all 3 swimming pools difficult to swim in due to guest numbers during my stay.

Staff clearing of tables and sunbathing areas was 'ad hoc'.

Cannot see why pools closed from 6pm - 10am. Never saw anyone treating / testing the water whilst I holidayed there.

The " direct access to beach " advertised is down two flights of stairs and past a bin storage area

No concierge on such a sprawling site, which happens to cross a bus and coach route.

Only evening 'venue' is an outside stage around the main pool where tables are limited and location is lacking in ambience.

There is a huge issue with sunloungers being reserved. I queried this with management whilst I was there and they admitted they they have tried before but cannot do anything about this.

All in all not a 4 star in my opinion. A low 3 at best. I've stayed in many better 3 stars in Spain I'm afraid Marsenses.

I will start by saying that as a family, now we have done all inclusive it is not for us.

We enjoyed the drinks on offer and ice creams
However the restaurant was not for us, the food generally seemed cold and unappetising although plentiful we ate once for our evening meal and all had a plate of chips as there was nothing that took our fancy. So for the rest of our stay we chose to eat out.
It was loud, with scrappy noisy chairs and felt as though We were in a school canteen, like I say not for us.

Very disappointed that at the beginning of the week the kids were allowed to use inflatables in the pools but then they were totally band, the life guard telling all the children to not use them this was an instruction from the manager, even when the pool was quiet. I wish this had been explained on arrival and check in as we would not have bought any along with all the other families!!

There seemed to a problem with the pool where we were as the kids kept cutting there toes, the lifeguard was applying plasters throughout the days to many children and adults. We ended up buying our children wet shoes from the local spar shop to wear in pool which worked a treat.

The rooms are clean and comfortable with an excellent walk in shower.
The cleaners work really hard
The bar staff and snack bar chef work extremely hard.

The animation team are fantastic for children and adults.

A mixed bag really
Sadly we won’t return or be able to 100% recommend to our friends or family.

It is a shame to see you that you did not enjoy your time with us, at our hotel we take the safety of all our guests seriously. Around each pool is a very large sign explaining all the rules of the pools including the no inflatables rule. It is not a hotel only rule it is a law in mallorca for the safety of all of our guests. We take great pride in our staff and we are happy to hear you found them to be hardworking. Kind Regards, Mar Senses Ferrera Blanca

Just returned from our holiday and have to say that whilst we had a great time and stay, it could have been so much better with just small changes.

First of all it’s definitely not a hotel for couples, lots of families and children so just be warned if you are wanting a nice chilled stay. We stayed as a family with our 2 year old, I think he was still too young for this kind of hotel and it’s entertainment. Entertainment during the evening starts quite late 8.30pm, I’m sure this could be normal everywhere but I think could start a little earlier for the babies/toddlers.

Food was okay, could have mixed it up a little as there is a lot of dishes repeated. Restaurant could get busy at times and lots of waiting, definitely advise to go early.

Pools are scattered around, really short on sun loungers and lots of reserving. Splash pool was great for the kids, however needed a good clean in the grating/drains, could get really smelly at times whilst sunbathing. Sun lounger covers also need a wash.

We did request a ground floor room because we had a toddler and a pram, we were given a room with lots of stairs. We did mention it in the day we arrived but apparently the hotel was fully booked.

Staff were really amazing, couldn’t fault them, they really go above and beyond.

Recently returned from a lovely week away at Mar senses. The hotel was expected and staff absolutely brilliant especially George. We requested rooms next to each other in a quiet location as we were travelling with friends and this was organised without any issue.

Try to get to dinner either before 7pm or after 9pm as there were ques, but the staff were very efficient and tried to decrease the waiting time as much as they could. All the restaurant staff were brilliant and even cooked something special for my children on one of the nights as they weren’t keen on the Tai food.

All the pools were very clean our favourite being the Tranquil pool which has very comfortable loungers. If you like noisy / busy pools then the main pool is for you. The beach pools were also lovely and good location near the snack bar.

Charlie my 7yr olds review - it’s the most best hotel I’ve been to and I loved the pools they are very fun to swim in. And I liked it cos it was close to the beach. Loved the all inclusive option for children to help themselves. I loved the food and the service was great. Great shows at night and all the kids events that happened in the day were brilliant.

We had a great time at this hotel! We opted for all inclusive, and this plus the varied buffet made feeding two adults, a 5 year old and a baby incredibly easy and stress free, as we could pick and choose from anything at pretty much any time of day. The food was fantastic and we rarely had to wait at either the restaurants or the bars.

The pools were lovely - a bit cold at first since they're not heated, but once you were in you didn't really notice! The kids pools had a lot to entertain them - water sprays and loads of slides. The smaller kids pool was shallow enough that we were confident our non-swimming kid was safe enough to splash about with us watching from a safe distance.

There was a broken grating at the pool that another child cut her foot on which was bad. From reading other reviews, this has happened before, so I don't know why this wasn't immediately fixed.

Animation team were excellent, plenty to entertain both the small and big kids! Our room overlooked the main pool and the stage, so we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the music once the kids were asleep. The mini disco was also fantastic for our daughter, she felt very grown up being allowed to stay up and have a dance.

One gripe about our room (which was otherwise clean and lovely) was that the travel cot we were given had some off putting stains on the sides (not sure what but it didn't look at all good). I wish this had been picked up by the cleaning staff and replaced.

The hotel is about an hour's drive from the airport, but beware airport transfers can take up to 2 hours (as we discovered, too late). In hindsight I would have booked a taxi to travel there directly, instead of stopping at about 10 different places before getting to our hotel.
All in all, fab trip, brilliant staff, great facilities and yummy food. We would visit again!

On our return to this hotel we had nothing but excellent service and kindness from every member of staff we encountered.
It is positioned in such a beautiful part of Cala D’or, Cala Ferrera, surrounded by the most stunning coves and beaches.

The food was of high standard with plenty of choice…as was the bar, all prepared and serviced by the most hard working and polite catering and bar staff. Nothing was ever a problem at reception and our room was cleaned and replenished daily.
The pool areas are clean and well looked after with 4 different ones to chose from to suit your holiday…

Our holidays here are always made extra special by the fantastic Animation team led by Aline. They all go above and beyond with their enthusiasm, kindness and beautiful manner with all guests. Our children now 15 and 13 were never bored with all the activities on offer which this team work so hard to deliver (huge recognition and thanks particularly to Diego, Yordi and Aline who work with the older kids) They are an asset to Ferrera Blanca and Mar Senses company, as are all the staff here. We won’t hesitate to return again.

We stayed here for 7 nights at the end of August. We had a nice time in Cala D'or and it's a good location for relaxation, there isn't loads to do there.

For a highly reviewed, 4 star hotel I expected more. We stayed in a Junior Suite which implied a level of upgraded room (as did the price) but it was extremely basic.
In the whole 7 days we had a maid visit our room on 2 occasions where some towels were exchanged and the beds were made with the same sheets. I've never stayed in a hotel which has such infrequent and poor room cleaning standards.

There were a few maintenance issues with the room, the bedside shelf was broken, some lights and switches didn't work and no hooks in the bathroom. In fact nowhere to hang towels at all. They advertise that you get tea/coffee making facilities with a coffee pod machine. Technically true but you get 2 pods only and have to pay if you want more. 2 tea bags and no milk is provided, you had to ask at the bar and get a plastic cup of fresh milk. None of this is refreshed when the housekeepers turn up. We paid for 3 people for our room but everything was set for 2 people (pillows, blankets, cups, glasses).

For an all inclusive hotel I found it bizarre that you can't get a coffee except at breakfast in the restaurant. The food was below average, extremely repetitive, low quality and we didn't see much of the 'theme nights' or live cooking that others have mentioned. They aren't very quick at refilling or keeping the service areas clean and tidy.

During the day there is only one snack bar unless you're in the toddler area, which means if you're at the quiet or main pools you don't have easy access to snacks. The snacks were OK, the pizza was nice but the rest was basic. There is only one main restaurant which is typical low budget all inclusive, like a cattle market. The entertainment nights with the quiz were very good, not sure about other nights as we didn't spend long here.

I am genuinely surprised this hotel gets such glowing reviews as there are so many better hotels out there for the kind of money they charge, although this was our first time in Majorca so not sure how it compares with others here. Everything about this place says "budget" apart from the price.

On a positive note, the refill water stations are good, and the staff are friendly. The nearby beach is really lovely, although it's a bit of a stretch to call it a beachfront hotel, it's out the back and not really in view for 99% of the hotel.

Yes while it was nice, very noisy lots of children. I would not recommend for adults without children, personally , the adults only which is just across the road is better much quieter, the all inclusive was nice, although food lukewarm at times but just to noisy. Cala d’Or is lovely and you can get reasonable meals lovely restaurants. Personally I would do adult only. We got back from there on Sunday.

Dear Hannah T, I'm afraid that this year, our MarSenses Ferrera Blanca Hotel Family do not offer any quiet or adults-only pool. If you wish, you can book at our parent property MarSenses Ferrera Blanca Hotel Adults Only, which has two pools. Best regards,

Dear Ged K, Hopefully, the hotel has changed a lot since 2019. We have worked hard to provide a better experience than we did then. In high season, such as in August, at very specific times you may find some queues. However, for this season we have created a new hotel, the MarSenses Ferrera Blanca Hotel Adults Only which has another bar restaurant, so fewer guests will be using the Main Buffet Restaurant at the MarSenses Ferrera Blanca Hotel Family so we hope you won't have to wait a minute for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We look forward to welcoming you back! Best regards

Bonjour, the adult only area is very close to the sandy beach (approx 50 m). There are other nice beaches close to the complex, it depends if you like privacy or interaction with other tourists. The adult only area is separated by an one-way narrow road from the rest of the buildings and facilities of MarSenses Hotel.
