Alua Suites Las Rocas garners praise for its cleanliness and vibrant atmosphere, providing guests with modern, clean accommodations and stunning views. The hotel's industrious staff is frequently lauded for their friendliness, and the quiet location offers beautiful sea vistas close to beaches and local attractions. However, some guests express dissatisfaction with room issues such as dampness and air conditioning, and others question the value for money, pointing out additional fees and underwhelming amenities. Despite these concerns, the spacious rooms and adult-only pool are popular among visitors.

Family of 5 including 7 & 5 yr old and a 6month old, holidayed for 5 nights.

Pros:
Great location for exploring Cala D’or and Marina
Rooms were clean, fresh and modern
Reception staff were helpful and friendly
Entertainment staff were thoughtful and very very good with children
Views were stunning

Cons:
We found the food to be bland
Drinks were watered down in main restaurant
Cocktails were out of stock (ready made mixtures)
Snack bar was limited in its offering and seemed to be left overs from breakfast and lunch
No table service for drinks at lunch and dinner

Room Tip:
Room A222 had stunning views over the sea and dual
balconies

We did enjoy our break but ate out 3nights as we couldn’t find anything that we would enjoy for dinner. It was a big standard 3* AI and this was reflected in its food and drink offering.

Special mention to Ana and Carlos from entertainment and Maria on reception who went over and above to make our stay pleasant.

Happy to answer questions from prospective guests!

We arrived here on the 6th November and were given one of the rooms in block A the room seemed pleasent enough until we had a thunderstorm to which the bathroom had all water running down the walls and the floor flooding, we called reception and they said it was best we change rooms a lady shown us 2 rooms the 2nd one was the better one as it had a bigger balcony and on inspection it had a cooker and fridge it was in block D and faced the pool. What I found odd was a kettle was provided but no tea or coffee and although there was a cooker there was no pans.
The grounds were nice and clean however I didn't think it was great having bins right next to the benches what with the smell and the insect's.
The restaurant was standard however all the food was cold at meal times as they never had the hot plates on I think they were relying on the lights to do this one morning the cook brought out a fresh supply of scrambled eggs and they were stone cold so I just stuck to making toast and melting the cheese on top in the microwave. The wine was awful and we couldn't understand why they only had tea and coffee available in the morning. The restaurant wasn't big enough for everyone so we had to queue which we have never experienced and when it rained everyone was trying to cram into the foyer to wait for a table. The entertainment team were really good and there was independent acts that came in which were very good. The location of the hotel is ok if you want somewhere not busy and if you actually walk to the top of the road past the round about numbered 18 and continue to walk straight the shops are there the beach is a 5 min walk too which is past the first roundabout and to the right we also had a walk to the harbour which is about a 10 min walk. If I was asked if I would stay here again the answer is no and although this is deemed a 4 star I definitely wouldn't class it as a 4 star. We were also dissatisfied with the fact there was no jet 2 rep and in place a jet 2 ring binder with a page stating we are always on hand to help with a British number to ring which is obviously going to cost me money as it isn't a free phone number all the other holiday companies seemed to provide one.

While looking for an inexpensive half term break, we came across the Alua Suites Las Rocas at a very reasonable price. We love Cala Egos so decided to take the plunge with the view that even if the hotel was poor we would just eat out and enjoy the location. To our surprise this hotel was amazing! Recently refurbished, the rooms were spacious, modern and very clean. The food was superb, a fantastic choice of hot or cold, several meats, kebabs, eggs, paella, pancakes etc all cooked fresh to order. Great choice of drinks, tea/coffee, fizzy drinks, fresh juices, beer on tap or any colour of wine to help yourself. Dozens of wonderful desserts constantly refreshed.
Although the all inclusive drinks were the local variants (although the beer was San Miguel) it was good quality and free flowing, basically as much as you wanted!
Lots of on-site activities, volleyball/football courts, table tennis, kids club etc. Typical evening entertainment every night, kids mini disco, singers/stage shows etc.
While the entrance was via steps/ramp, this could be avoided day to day by using the side gate, we took older relatives (one due to have a knee replacement) and they managed fine, you can actually make it to reception via the side gate and a couple of gentle ramps.
All in all this is a very under rated hotel, grab yourself a bargain before the word gets out!
We will definitely return.

We have just recently stayed in Aluas Suite Las Rocas and overall really enjoyed our stay.

Staff here are on the whole, not the friendliest bunch, except the receptionists who were all lovely and welcoming.

Having recently gone through a global pandemic, you’d think cleanliness would be a huge priority anywhere you go. Unfortunately, drinking glasses on multiple occasions were dirty with old lipstick stains on, or with food inside. Plates would most of the time have old food stuck to the bottom when you grab them. Also, when my bedding was changed, one day it had blood stains on.

By 7am, pretty much all sun loungers were reserved by the main pool, even though on the hotel rules it strictly says that you’re not allowed to do this. However, we found that in the relaxation pool (adults only) there are always a few spare beds throughout the day. I really enjoyed having an adults only pool, it was a great luxury! (Despite the few people who sneak their children in!)

Food here is very average. What you’d expect for all inclusive. Most of it was dry, tasteless, and the leftovers seemed to be used the next day in another form.

The rooms are lovely on the whole and beds super comfortable which is a bonus you don’t always get in hotels. However, like most places the walls are very thin and you can hear everything! A lot of early morning starts by the sound of children screaming and people banging the doors.

You can take a short walk into the local area with touristy shops, and on a Thursday afternoon from 6pm there is a lovely market with lots of handmade items and jewellery.

There is supposedly a mini train that stops outside of the hotel and takes you round the area, specifically stopping at Cala D’or shops (which are lovely, but smaller than made out to be), however we waited over half an hour for a train and then found out they weren’t running so had to call a taxi instead, which only cost €7 anyway.

There are 2 bars during the day, but to me they make absolutely no sense. The snack bar (near adults only pool) severed a couple bits of fruit and soft drinks only, which you were not allowed to take out of the fenced area as it’s manned by security. However, the pool bar (located by the main pool with children) you could take any drinks including alcohol, anywhere you wanted to, with no security at all. Surely should be the other way around.

To add onto the drinks, don’t have cocktails here. They are watered down and tasteless. They aren’t made fresh and are poured out of a bottle. The soft drinks, such as orange ‘juice’ and apple ‘juice’ are actually weirdly fizzy, which is not what you want at breakfast time.

Also to add if you want ice cream whilst you’re here they are at an additional cost, not covered in the all inclusive package.

Unfortunately there was nothing entertaining about the entertainment here. Very boring and not worth the watch.

On the whole, our stay was nice. Definitely better than other places I’ve been to, however I wouldn’t be in a rush to return.

Just returned from 10days all inclusive and cannot fault the team or the hotel. Food very good and always varied to suit many nationalities. Salads fresh every time, lots of sides and deserts served in individual bowls, no-one else rummaging through them… excellent idea and made us feel confident. House Clean down of tables after every sitting, rooms cleaned (very well) on a daily basis. Public areas maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. Pool rules enforced by lifeguards who were always on duty. Bar staff always had a smile and coped well under pressure. House wines really good, made it easy to pay for “special” drinks late at night. Entertainment programme was fine but very much a matter for individual taste. Overall a superb break that has given us the post covid confidence to resume our annual holidays! Thank you to all the staff, we appreciated your efforts.

This hotel has undergone a refurbishment and already has 4* rating… I do not know how!

We arrived and faced the “slide of death” to get our suitcases into the reception- this is all that is available for anyone in a wheelchair or a pushchair! So if you have mobility issues on this point alone avoid this property- it also has no lifts.

Then it was Check In…. 30 minutes at least! No queue, 4 staff staring at a screen to eventually be allocated our room but presented with a bill far higher than what we had booked! However as the card machine was broken even after changing the bill to our reservation price we couldn’t pay!

We climbed to the third floor to our room, in the heat with heavy suitcases to find neither room key worked! Back to reception, back to room with staff member, keys still don’t work! Maid had to let us into our room! But we didn’t have a key.

Went to find some lunch but was refused entry to the only restaurant onsite as we were not all inclusive and there is nowhere to buy food!!! We were told to walk to town 20mins away! This is supposed to be 4*???

The resort areas remain tired even after the refurbishment, cracked tiles everywhere.
The rooms are ok but but there is no kettle or coffee machine as depicted on their website. Kitchenette cabinets fitted in a hurry too!

We asked about the kettle/coffee machine and were told we could have a kettle and we could buy instant lattes in the supermarket in town! However at first they also said they would not provide cups, glasses or cutlery either!

We bought a drink and just knew we couldn’t stay here. Possibly the only thing going for the hotel is the view but you can stay all over Mallorca and experience this. We could not entertain a holiday in a hotel with no services and no care that these are not provided. This hotel does not deserve its rating as only new chairs in the lobby & lounge plus newly decorated rooms is not enough. Sadly this is a “chips with everything “ level of hotel… chips on the floor tiles, chips for lunch but only if you’re all inclusive!!!

The staff at reception were kind, they were polite but they were struggling, possibly insufficient training.

Luckily for us we had a car and the hotels all over the island, due to current circumstances, are all virtually only 50% full so we found somewhere else!

We’ve just returned from a week at the Alua Suites. The hotel is clean and modern & the staff friendly & efficient.

We stayed in a one bedroomed suite which was really modern & spacious. We initially booked the hotel based on the sea views & were a little disappointed when we arrived that we were given a room at the back of one of the blocks overlooking a tree, given the little time we spent up there though it didn’t bother us enough to ask if we could be moved. The rooms were cleaned & towels changed daily (although a couple of days we only got left one towel & had to share).

The food in the restaurant was good & staff were re-stocking things constantly. I can be a fussy eater at times but I always found something I could eat & enjoyed every meal.

We spent most of our time around the adult pool & there was never any problem getting a sunbed at any time of the day. The main/family was a lot busier/nosier & towels were put down quite early each morning.

Evening entertainment was ok. There was a different show/act on each night. We liked some of them but not others but that was just our taste & they would never be able to please everybody all of the time.

Bottled water isn’t included in the All Inclusive which we found odd but the nearest Spar shop is 2 mins walk away (through the gate next to the kids club, turn right & follow the road just around the corner)

It’s a 5-10 min walk into Cala Egos which has shops/bars/restaurants & a lovely Sandy beach, (no sunbeds or parasols to hire though).

Taxi’s to Cala D’or were 6-7 euros.

Overall I would recommend the Alua Suites

We found this hotel great, its beautiful with sea views. Very clean and all staff very helpful and friendly. Especially the entertainment staff. They went out of their way to include our 20 month old on the activities. Alberto and his team were fantastic. The external entertainment was good, we were very happy with it. It finished at 11pm each night which is great you've a toddler, less noise. Our room was a suite so we put the baby to bed and we could watch TV. We brought our Amazon firestick with us and we could watch shows on that. Free wifi was great. Minimal buffering.
The food was nice and the location was great with lovely lively streets, we especially liked the Port and the fantasy park with large bouncy castles, go carts, trampolines and games

We highly recommend this hotel and location.
We stayed in block B and I'd recommend getting a room with a balcony view of the stage of you've to put the baby to bed, you can still watch the entertainment.

eally enjoyed our 10 day stay at this hotel. We didn’t like the room we were first allocated so the Manager quickly helped us to move to another room. As we had 3 children we had a very spacious suite with 2 large bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a very large lounge. The beds were huge so 2 singles pushed together easily made a super king. These were freshened up daily along with towels etc.
The children loves the pool and making friends with all the other guests. They joined in with the activities every day and each of us managed to win one of the daily games and were presented with a certificate and a lovely prize in the evenings.
We couldn’t fault the food and the restaurant with a wide variety of choice and always food being freshly cooked in front of you.
We chose to eat out for 2 meals at the nearest strip aprox 8 mins (I know this as had to visit the docs twice!) and one day we walked into Cala D’or for lunch which took aprox 40 mins with children with a stop at the Marina for drinks.
We took the Ting Ting (train) from right outside the hotel one day which we should’ve done earlier in the holiday to get a good view of the whole area, although the time table couldn’t always be relied upon and sometimes arrived full up.
Another trip we enjoyed was the starfish boat which left just after 11 from the nearest beach 10 mins walks away. We got a great view of all of the beaches nearby and got to slide off the boat into the sea which the kids adored.
Fab hotel, highly recommended for families.

Me and my partner stayed in this hotel in the middle of May and it was everything we needed. The pool was beautiful and tended to daily, there was a wide variety of food and watching it get cooked fresh at every meal was an added bonus. The location was great within a 2 minute walk to a local mini mart and a 5 minute walk from bars and restaurants and gift shops. We also walked a little further (about 15 minutes) to the beautiful Marina.

The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The gentleman on reception checked us in quickly and efficiently, talking us through everything we needed to know. He was really helpful.

The entire entertainment team were always energic and enthusiastic encouraging everyone to take part in the activities without being too pushy. Ana was in particular very friendly and accommodating. Even when she was on free time you could see her interacting with guests, over the few days we were there we saw her build up a raport with many guests.

The room was spacious and modern and catered to all our needs. The only thing with the room is that it smelt slightly of damp but we went early on in the season so the room just needed a bit more airing.

Would go back to this hotel without a second thought. Very satisfied.
