Nestled in a prime location, AluaSun Torrenova is acclaimed for its proximity to beaches and attractions, despite the challenging hillside setting. Guests are divided on the hotel's value, with additional fees and varying opinions on cost-effectiveness. A lively yet noisy atmosphere is frequently mentioned, potentially overshadowing the praised entertainment offerings. The staff's commendable service enhances guest satisfaction. While amenities like clean pools and diverse food are highlights, room size and noise disturbances have been points of contention. Cleanliness generally receives high marks, although some inconsistencies are reported.

I have just got back from 3 nights here with my daughter who's 11. We had an amazing time at this hotel. It is conveniently located to get to lots of places, you can walk for 5-10 mins and arrive at Magaluf beach which is truly beautiful. The sea was so clear we could see fish swimming at our feet. There is also a beach more local and there was buses to Palma and Santa Ponsa within a 10 minute walk to the stop and they are easy to use and regular service. There are 3 pools, one deeper one, a shallow one and then one with the kids slides. There was music playing by the pool with a mix of genres and the entertainment team were amazing. They were so energised doing activities with the kids and then would do random ones with adults like a beer pong type of game and one where you had to guess how many pages were in the book and the closest won a cocktail. I didn't mind that alcoholic drinks were only at meal times as I don't drink much and you could pay a discounted price for them during the day so didn't cost much. You could also get slushes and some ice creams/ lollies as well as some basic food like burgers and chips from the snack bar. The restaurant had so many options and there was a chocolate fountain on Thursday which my daughter loved. They also had prosecco glasses on arrival to dinner on Thursday too. We only went to the 9:30pm entertainment once and saw 3 South African ladies singing who were great, we both really enjoyed that. From about 8:40pm the entertainment team do some dances with the younger children for about 20 mins which is also great. The room was clean and the beds were comfy with lots of space. Overall we had a great time and I would definitely recommended it.

We spent a week at the hotel during the kids half term holiday. Obviously the resort is closing down at this time of year but we got lucky with the sun and had a fantastic break.

The hotel is ideally placed near to the beach, it’s a five minute walk down a fairly steep hill which may be an issue to those less mobile. There are a number of small super markets near by which sell wines and beers and you can drink those in the hotel in the evening. In fact I purchased a bottle of wine which the bar staff opened for me with a bottle opener so the three drink rule seems almost pointless.

The hotel itself is incredibly clean, the pools open at ten in the morning and there was a life guard at both the main pool and the splash pool with slides which makes things easier when you have more than one child who both want to be in different pools.

The pools although cold were looked after, no obvious missing tiles etc and staff checking ph levels on a daily basis.

The room was fairly basic, two adults and two children in a small standard room was a little bit of a squeeze.

The entertainment was okay, as previously pointed out when people aren’t maybe as tipsy they’re less likely to participate and there was one evening where they had to change the entertainment as no one volunteered.

The food was excellent, plenty of choice and continuous refreshing of the trays so never had an issue where we couldn’t get what we wanted.

All day snack bar was great and kept the kids happy.

All in all a fantastic week in a brilliant location. We’d never been to Palma before but are returning next year it was that good.

Finally the hotel were in the last couple of days before closing for the season and despite this they spent hours decorating the hotel for Halloween. They’d have been forgiven to give it a miss but the kids loved the decorations and the effort that was made so thank you to all the staff l, your efforts were very much appreciated!

The hotel was very clean, tidy and well kept. Your room could be made up everyday with fresh bedding and also towels changed when need. The food overall was good however as a vegetarian there was very limited options, and no labelled vegetarian meals. However my partner enjoyed all the meat options and the range was good overall. The hotel is very safe, it is located about 10 minutes away from the magaluf strip however it is a very steep hill which could often be tiring. It also clearly states no reserving sun beds however mostly all were reserved. It did seem like people would but there stuff there and leave it for the whole morning then return back hours later

For an all-inclusive & a 4-star resort I was quite disappointed.
I am not quite sure what I had actually paid for & didn’t feel I got my monies worth.

I’ve always booked all inclusive in other countries & received a lot more service.

Hotel was clean & staff very friendly. A thank you to Jose for his assistance he “went over & above” to help with an error that was made.

Apart from the rule which I was aware of, of only allowed 6 alcoholic drinks, 3 at diner & 3 with evening meal. All other beverages had to be paid for during the day.

Pool towels you must pay a deposit also for the use of the safe.

No tea, coffee, provided just a kettle & mugs, which you then must fill in the bathroom then carry across the room to the plug socket next to the bed to boil, then carry it back across the room to make your drink, which carrying a kettle of boiling water has potential danger.

No ventilation in the bathroom so mirror & bathroom steamed up when using the shower, no other bathroom toiletries apart from handwash at the wash basin & a combined Soap & hair conditioner in the shower. No sanitation bags.

Evening entertainment only on for one hour, finished far too early.

Pool side not a lot of atmospheres

Nice selection of meals but not very hot. Wasn’t allowed to take food or dinks out of the restaurant.

I feel absolutely obliged to write a review for AluaSun Torrenova, as someone who relies on reviews when booking a holiday. This was one of the best holidays I’ve been on. From the get-go, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely gentleman working the night shift at the desk. Though our flight was late, meaning that we missed dinner, the staff prepared a cold food selection for us, so that we didn’t have to go to bed hungry. We then explored the complex, and noticed how clean, presentable and modern it was. Our room was lovely and cool with A/C, and comfortably spacious (though we didn’t see the size as a potential concern, given the fact that we barely spent time in it). The TV was large, and displayed international channels. The en-suite was spotless. The pool was also well-kept, and despite arriving late outside on the first morning, we still found loungers. Throughout the day, we enjoyed the entertainment, especially on the stormy day that we were there for. They work 10am-11pm pretty much non-stop, and they put in so much effort to encourage people to join in the fun. The cleaning was done everyday to a great standard. Then there was the food — and wow, what a great selection of fresh dishes. Everyday varied, and there was something for everyone, so I genuinely cannot understand the comments saying that the choice was limited. The restaurant staff work tirelessly to ensure that everyone had a comfortable experience, by being warm and courteous. The food at the snack bar may be “repetitive” as some have suggested, but quite frankly, it’s quick food to eat in between meals and at the pool. Obviously you’re going to get chips. But it’s all fresh, and we loved the comfort of walking up to serve ourselves from the buffet. And regarding the “not an all-inclusive, because there’s no alcohol included outside of meal times” comments: before you travel, I highly suggest reading up on the laws of the country you are visiting. Take a walk down the road and consider why there is a reason for alcohol limiting. Similarly, this law is clearly written before booking, so if it’s a red flag, perhaps consider a holiday elsewhere, rather than blaming the hotel. We miss the place wholeheartedly: we miss the food, the staff, and the weather. Best memories made! Thank you!

The rooms in the hotel were very small and unfortunately the cleaning staff rarely cleaned them. In some cases, hair and sand had been collecting on the floor for several days. Dirty towels that we put out to change were simply put back in the bathroom. The empty soap was also not refilled. The plates and cutlery were also very dirty, just as some of the buffet cutlery was already dirty. The buffet itself was already dirty in places and not tidy. The food tasted very bland. The background noise in this hotel was very loud from morning until late in the evening due to the many small children. It is also better not to rent a car and instead take a bus or taxi, as parking spaces in the hotel area are generally very limited and you need a lot of luck to find a parking space near the hotel. However, the staff were mostly very friendly and nice. You should also note that the hotel is close to the British party scene, so you should be careful where you walk after sunset. The cocktails at the hotel bar are highly recommended and there is a show in the hotel every evening. There are beautiful beaches near the hotel where you can also spend the day, as the hotel's pool area is completely overrun anyway.

The hotel is nice, it's conveniently located, clean and overall comfortable.
The main praise would go to the staff - maids, restaurant staff (especially), reception - all of them were extremely helpful and just very friendly and always available. This is definitely one of the things we will remember about our stay. Oh and the entertainer Sara was great too!
The location is very convenient, close to the beach although on the hill so you need to go up the hill when you go back to the hotel from the beach.
Parking was a problem. We once spend ages trying to find a spot, circling around town. The hotel doesn't provide own parking.
Food was ok for us. I don't eat meat and my partner doesn't eat fish but we always found what to eat. Some of the food choices were not impressive, some were tasty, it's a mix of things. We were happy with the variety, even if some meals were repetitive, I liked it because you get to choose the ones you liked the most!
Pool area is comfortable, one main pool, one shallow and a kid's pool.
This hotel was one of the cheapest 4* hotels in the whole Mallorca, so if you have that in mind when going, you'll find the overall experience really pleasant. It's the people who don't want to pay the money but expect a 5* service who like complain. It's definitely worth visiting this hotel.
Oh, and the All Inclusive here only includes 3 alcohol drinks during lunch and dinner. It wasn't a problem for us as it was clearly written when we bought the package, so no suprises :)

I would rate the aluasun Torrenova hotel as a 3 star hotel rather than a 4 star hotel. It has its pros and cons. Upon arrival me and my partner did have to pay a tourist tax that was not advertised. It is not a fully all inclusive hotel so that is clearly falsely advertised. You have to pay for drinks at the bar and are only allowed 3 drinks, beer or wine, with your lunch and dinner. My partner called the Alua chain before we arrived and they told us our hotel was fully all inclusive when it was not however since we complained about this miscommunication we were upgraded to vip at no extra cost and were allowed free drinks from the bar but other guests still had to pay. The rooms are small but were very clean however the walls are very thin and you can hear what’s going on in the rooms around you. The restaurant is definitely not for picky eaters luckily we were able to find foods we did like even though the overall selection is not that vast, foods are kept on a hot hold and do go cold quick. however we were shocked to see a large cockroach scuttling around the restaurant one morning along with a few dead ones under tables and one even up on a side where food is served in the evenings. I’d recommend the pool snack bar over the restaurant at lunch times I didn’t catch the Pakistani chefs name at the pool but he was really friendly and was a great cook. The hotels facilities were good and the entertainment team did a great job, definitely a family friendly hotel but be warned that many rowdy young brits do use this hotel as a base for their parties in Magaluf. The surrounding area has a lot to do and has a lovely beach with many good shops and restaurants and family activities But I personally wouldn’t come to this location or hotel again after my first stay

We've just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at the Aluasun Torrenova hotel. Very clean hotel, spacious rooms, with balcony and aircon that works perfectly. Rooms supplied with a safe which you are supposed to pay for but you can lock it and unlock it using a digital code combination without paying so i reccommend to check it out before committing money. All of the staff from reception to bar staff and resturant staff, all very helpful and attentive. The pool was freezing but thats expected for October and lots of sun beds available each day with no fighting. Good entertainment on the evening including a group of 3 singers from south africa, they were really good. Location is perfect, short walk of about 5 mins to the beach, loads of bars and resturants and shops local too. Highly reccomend a resturant on the beach called MIRA. The hotel resturant was really nice, lots of food to choose from both hot and cold, all fresh and topped up regularly. Drinks were good too despite the rule of 3 drinks with your meal only. Suits me not being fussed on alcohol to be honest. Overall, really pleased with the stay and its the only hotel i have ever said i would happily return to in a heartbeat. Great place. i hope to return.

from someone who rigorously reads up on reviews before booking hotels this is a review from a normal laid back couple that don’t expect too much& don’t complain about silly things. I’d just like to say people who leave negative reviews have either had something happen that has impacted their whole trip or just clearly look for faults wherever they go. We are a couple in our late 20’s that sees a hotel as just somewhere to stay really. If you don’t want to be disturbed by either children, noise, or minor inconveniences then go and book a 5* adults only expensive holiday!!! We had absolutely no complaints. Yes it’s on a bit of a hill, yes there’s lots of children and yes it’s slightly noisy sometimes but none of which effected us. The hill is slightly steep and I’m quite unfit but managed it. It’s hard in the blazing heat but just one of those things, not the end of the world really. We did go in September so our review may differ from that of someone who came prime time in summer hols but we didn’t have any issue finding a sunbed. There’s loads of sunbeds across 3 levels and if not just go to the beach which is a few mins walk away.
As for the food - what are you really expecting it’s your usual buffet style food so don’t book a buffet style hotel if you’re a fussy eater because if that’s the case you need to go out and eat because nowhere with a buffet style restaurant will satisfy you. We thought there was so much choice and each night differed which was good we really loved the themed nights with sangria and Prosecco etc! If you’re fussy then there’s chips and plain pasta and bread & cheese you can eat and if you don’t like that then there’s no point you coming here or abroad full stop! Drinks were cheap from their bar and we especially loved the free water station! Rooms were clean, lovely big balcony and a fridge!
Location was perfect 5 mins to beach and beachfront with loads of restaurants and bars and literally a stones throw from Magaluf but far enough away not to be rowdy.
Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return.

Every room at this property has a balcony, but some rooms have better views than others. The more expensive the room, generally, the higher the floor your room will be on. Better views are located on balconies that are on the pool side of the property. In my experience as a Globalist, none of the rooms at this property are extraordinary because it is not on the water. Better view rooms get more sun per day, in my opinion.
