Aparthotel Aquasol garners appreciation for its friendly ambiance and engaging entertainment options, yet some guests have expressed concerns over noise and occasional staff indiscretions. While the service is generally commended for being attentive and the hotel's prime location is a highlight, providing easy access to local attractions, opinions on the rooms are mixed, with maintenance and noise being noted issues. Cleanliness is typically praised, though not without some reports of inconsistency. The hotel's value is recognized, particularly for food and beverage pricing, and while the amenities are popular, guests suggest improvements could enhance the experience.

First the good. The welcome at reception was warm and facilities for a budget hotel were good. Rooms were clean and welll fitted. Ours had a large walk in shower, double room and living room with two sofas as extra beds. The kitchen was modern and had a microwave .

Night time entertainment included bingo, quiz night, karaoke and disco- all modestly done with never more than 50 in the audience but the children had a ball

Breakfast was really good. Test, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, fry up, sweets, cereal

The beautiful beach is 150m way

Negatives - the pool is not heated and is so cold we used it as a sort of ice therapy post exercise. The kitchen and bar staff are apathetic and grumpy. The bar adjoins the entertainment room where the kids disco took place. My daughter asked for a glass of water as she had been dancing a lot and was thirsty but was refused . The reason given was that as a bar they are not obliged to give glasses of water as would be the case if it were a restaurant . The bar tenders colleague felt embarrassed and said it was because the water was warm which as an excuse was insulting to my intelligence although i could see he was trying not to be such a cold nosed so and so

The hotel has pricing inconsistencies. The hotel shop sells bottles of water for €1 and 10m away in the restaurant the same volume of water is €2.50 and they won’t let you bring in the hotel shop wate in. To stop us drinking they took our glasses away They provide jugs of water at breakfast , i can’t see why they would be so tight so as to not provide in the evening . Staff held grudge over this

Evening meal was uninspiring, tasteless veg, dry schnitzels, fish pie, rubbery spaghetti

So it’s not paradise but if you accept a bit of imperfection it’s a good option that the children will enjoy. We spent the days out and about so the lack of customer service didn’t affect us

We came for 10 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. 2 adults and 2 children (9 and 13)

Breakfast was fine, nothing great, but fine.

The room was OK, not the cleanest and the sofa beds were a little small, but the shower was great and there was good air conditioning in the lounge and bedroom.

Check with reception what days your room is going to be cleaned. We checked as we didn't think it was being cleaned very often and they said it is done 3 times a week, so it's good to know what days your room will be cleaned for towel changing purposes and toilet roll needs if nothing else!

The hotel has a mix of families and groups of young adults, our room was next to two lots of partying groups who were pretty loud, but as they went out, it wasn't too disruptive! If you have young children and want an early night it might be problematic.

The sunbed situation wasn't as bad as I was expecting from reading other reviews, the hotel side of the pool was always packed (the sun is that side for most of the day) but the other side was fine and there were beds available until late morning most days, there seemed to be lots of beds, but not a great deal of space to put them as the pool area isn't massive given the number of guests. Some of the sunbeds could also do with replacing as they aren't very comfortable!

Entertainment around the pool was good with aqua bingo being fun for everyone to get involved with!

We had some lunch from the pool bar which was OK, not too expensive and decent portions.

There are (as most reviews say) a lot of steps at the hotel, we were on the ground floor, but even to get to the ground floor, you had to go up steps to go back down the other side!

I aim to provide an honest assessment of my stay.

Upon arrival, the reception area felt outdated and in need of renovation. However, the staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms were functional but suffered from an ant problem and were only cleaned every other day.

The bar staff, particularly a friendly lady from Birmingham and a colleague named Christian, were excellent. A large supermarket, Eroski Centre, is conveniently located nearby, turn left out of the hotel and left again at the t junction, the supermarket is at the top of that road.

The pool was pleasant, but the sunbed situation was chaotic. While I don't mind early mornings, most guests reserved sunbeds from 5:30 AM and often didn't return until lunchtime. The hotel’s failure to remove unused towels exacerbated the issue. This is not a problem to me as I do not sleep well and like to stay on my sunbed in the morning and watch the sunrise while doing my work on the phone. Some people reserved the beds on their way home after a night out. I imagine its only this bad during school holidays.

The biggest dissapointment was the aggresive night time receptionist, I was sat on my bed on one occasion doing my work when he came over demanding that I and another gentleman move in a really aggresive maner, finger pointing, shouting and being just plain rude, stating the pool is closed until 10 (it opens at 9). The man needs a lesson on how to talk to people, I complained and was told its because he has to deal with drunk young parties around the pool, not everyone is drunk, pretty obvious given that im a 50 year old man working on my phone. I dont pay thousands of pounds to shouted at like a child!

Overall, the hotel's potential is hindered by poor management and maintenance.

Key points:

Outdated reception
Friendly staff
Room cleanliness issues
Sunbed chaos due to poor management
Aggressive night receptionist

That said do not let this review put you off going, we had a lovely 2 weeks despite the mentioned points.

We stayed here for 10 days half board as a family of 8 members. Children ranging from 9-17. The hotel itself was very well kept, pool area was kept clean and tidy every day, I didn’t notice any fights for sunbeds. We managed to get some everyday, whether we went at 8am or 1pm. The rooms very basic but absolutely manageable, cleaners came every other day and were very polite and friendly. All staff were approachable and polite, and the entertainment staff were great during the day and evening getting the kids and adults involved in games. Restaurant was really nice, a nice range of food for breakfast - pastries, cooked breakfast, cereals, continental meats, and for dinner there was a different theme every night. The food was really well cooked and there was always something for someone - including fussy eaters.
10 minutes walk into Magaluf, 3 minute walk to the beach. The 24 shop on site had a mix of things to purchase, and there is a supermarket right next to the beach
Everyone in our party really enjoyed the atmosphere and have said it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Would book again to stay :)

We stayed for 7 nights in the 3rd week of August.

Firstly I have to say that the staff were absolutely fantastic. From Javi Jamie and the lifeguards by the pool, to Pau, Ruth and especially Cristian. All made us feel so welcome and were incredibly attentive and patient ( especially as I tried to use my limited Spanish as much as I could). All staff, but particularly Pau, Ruth & Cristian are are credit to the Aquasol. You guys helped make our stay memorable. Gracias.

We went self-catering but did eat breakfast (plentiful and really really nice) , lunch ( very good) and a later meal ( again really nice). The Citrus restaurant is modern, well stocked and impeccably clean. It's also really good value given you can eat as much as you like.

Bar drinks were good value given general high costs of Palmanova and cocktails are excellent. As stated above - bar food is excellent and portions are very generous.

Our room was basic and a bit dated in parts but clean and did what we needed it for. Aircon was powerful and balcony a decent size.

Unfortunately the situation with the sun beds can be challenging. Getting up at 5am on holiday just to reserve a bed is something we could do without. Clearly families /couples were rising at 4am to lay towels on sunbeds yet not actually using them until pm. I appreciate you can't change this behaviour without completely closing off the pool but nonetheless I do think something needs to be done. It's not the staffs fault at all. They're great but something for the hotel owners to try to change

Entertainment in the day was enjoyable. Aqua Bingo and pool games were entertaining and inclusive. With just Oscar however it felt a little much for one person as hard as he tried and as good (and amusing) as he is.

We caught a couple of nights entertainment but given the small space and self-catering of most guests it wasn't especially busy nor enthralling which was a shame. The BBQ was clearly a success but we made prior arrangements. Young Kids seemed entertained by the mini disco and other activities.

Location is excellent with an Eroski round the corner which is recommended over some of the 'mercados' close by which aren't really supermarkets at all and expensive.

All in all the vibe of the Aquasol is clean, relaxed and friendly. Families and young groups mixed well enough and despite a couple of hen party's and groups of young lads, everybody was friendly and respectful ( especially a group of young Spanish lads who got involved in the entertainment) and no issues at all

The staff are the real stars who contributed to great memories of our stay in Palmanova.

Thanks again amigos and we will see you soon.

Lovely stay at aquasol apartments.
We stayed here for 10 nights from 11th April 22.
The guys on reception were absolutely amazing we got there an travelling with a friend we wanted to be close by each other an I previously requested a ground floor due to having a young toddler an a pram. The guy took a good 20 mins sorting this out for us. Which already meant he had gone above an beyond to sort this for us . An yes as previously mentioned in some reviews even the ground floors there are still stairs to have to get up an down but we were more capable of lifting the pram so wasn’t really an issue for us. We were able to put our luggage in the luggage room an go an have a bite to eat for lunch.
When we arrived back an our rooms were ready an can’t complain. They were big with a good size balcony, clean an everything we needed. The maids came every other day and changed the bedding, fresh towels if you left them on the floor (it does tell you this in the bathroom) which I totally get cause to be fair the first day we were there we never used our towels so didn’t need them changing. Overall a really nice spacious room. Yes as people mention it’s basic but for the amount of time you stay in your room then this is ideal.
We did have a few ants but not over run with them. So that was fine.
The pool area is lovely an very clean my only downside was that the baby pool is all one depth an was a little too deep for my 3 year old. Came to his waist which is fine but when he had his life jacket on he always tilted. So we literally only used the pool one day the rest we went to a hotel where my mum was staying. However if you have older kids then the pool would be great. Music is played all day until pool was closed between 5-6 which I think is a great touch. Entertainment team came round to play games but again as we didn’t use the pool can’t comment on any of them. Seen some darts, aqua bingo and dice throwing on the last day. Evening entertainment was ok we only really stayed for the kids part (mini disco, exotic animals and we played bingo a couple of times.
As for food we were self catering so we can’t comment on the restaurant but the food we had at the pool bar was really nice an tasty and good value for money.
Location is excellent literally a 5 min walk to get to the beach, shops and restaurants. Bus stop is right outside an we took a bus to palma for bout €4 each return.
Overall a really nice hotel an would return maybe when it was a bit warmer as pool was freezing when we did use it but that’s to be expected.
I would like to say a huge thank you to Juan at the front desk. As we left on our transfer coach we realised we had left my little boys toy story woody and Jessie talking characters on the wall outside I phoned straight away an he went an got them for me an arranged for them to be sent to my home address. Absolutely outstanding customer service an you are a huge credit to this hotel thank you again for all your help.

We chose this hotel because of the price and proximity to the beach. But we're not coming back.
Pros: very close to two beautiful and child friendly beaches. Cheap. Close to Palma and the airport. In the area there is a lot of fun for children; zoo, amusement park, mini golf, playgrounds.. We paid for half board and the breakfast was very good, fantastic with freshly squeezed orange juice every morning! Dinner was not as good, but okay for prices. Javier in the dining room was always nice and accommodating. Spacious and well equipped apartments with good shower and comfortable beds.
Cons: extremely poor cleaning. Far from all the staff were nice. The hotel needs renovation. When we arrived at 00.30 at night there was not a drop of shower gel in the bathroom, the room was incredibly sloppy cleaned. Sad start to the holiday. The area seems to be mostly for Britons. There are much nicer areas when traveling with children, e.g. Alcudia, Playa de Muro, Cala D'or, Puerto Pollensa.

Went with a cycling group. Served its purpose well. Clean spacious rooms, pool was a good area and food in restaurant (only had breakfast) was good wuality for the price).

The usual 'towels down' at 8am on the sunbeds was in action - just fling them off if you get there first to really use them so not a problem.
No sign of sofa beds in the room bed the settee's were surprisingly comfy so ok.
Location to Palma Nova centre was minutes away from bars, restaurants on beach.
Magaluf about 15 mins walk for those who dare.

If this is your price bracket you can't go wrong.

Had a wonderful holiday whilst staying here, few pros and few cons.

Pros:
David and Leona on reception are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble, very professional.
Location is good only a few minutes walk to bars/restaurants/beach.
Apartments and complex as a whole are clean and tidy.

Cons:
It’s a 3* (just) very basic rooms but at least they were clean.
Pool area and pool are way too small for a complex this size, pool looked dangerously overcrowded at times, lifeguard presence is minimal and was often a shortage of sun beds or space to put a sun bed.
Very very crowded which takes the relaxation away to a degree.
Sadly pool bar staff were very hit and miss, more miss than hit, could be rude and abrupt and on our last visit despite us being 8 they only allowed us 4 small pots for mayo which was ridiculous they were very irate and adamant about it, we didn’t use the bar again after that.

If you’re looking for a basic clean complex in a good location, don’t mind noise as it’s more 18-30, stag & hen do’s than families, then this might be the place for you.

We’ve had a great time as we made the most of it but sad to say we wouldn’t book again.

Whilst the hotel staff and amenities were amazing the high level of Hen and Stag parties did dampen it for us. I understand that everyone is entitled to enjoy themselves but shouting jumping above us and dragging furniture around at 3am isn't what you want on a relaxing family holiday. On arrival we were greeted and helped immensely by the wonderful reception staff our room was very spacious albeit a small balcony for 6 people so barley got used plus items were often found in it the following morning such as vapes and sticky drink stains which must have been dropped from above. Our air conditioning didn't work in two of the bedrooms but this was sorted after a few days. We were half board the breakfast was the best of the food at dinner it wasn't always clear what was on offer but we were able to eat something each night again very friendly staff. Food at bar was lovely and reasonably priced drinks I found a little pricey especially for soft drinks. The pool was large and refreshing but was unusable in the afternoon when large groups of approx 20 were hurtling balls in peoples direction staff did try and control this but it was impossible for them to stay on top of it. There was a wide variety of optional entertainment around the pool and Blandine was amazing with my children she actually made their holiday with her games and interactions. Oscar was brilliant at aqua bingo and was fun. The evening entertainment was really good and was something different each night and suitable for all. Overall we had a great time other than the drunken wake-up calls and pool behaviour whilst it's advertised as a family hotel I would have to disagree due to our experience we were previously here in 2016 and it was a totally different experience to now. We are unlikely to return due to the large groups/parties.
