Globales Santa Lucia seems to strike a chord with its stunning beachfront location, drawing praise from guests for its proximity to local attractions. However, the hotel's amenities and value for money have received mixed reviews; while the cleanliness and views are commended, the limited pool facilities and unexpected additional charges have raised concerns. While some visitors commend the staff's friendliness and the hotel's overall tidiness, others are disappointed by less attentive service and noise issues. The rooms, though clean, are often noted as outdated and lacking in modern comforts.

We booked this hotel in February when the reviews were really good, but as the summer went on the reviews got really bad and we was apprehensive about staying at the Globales Santa Lucia after reading all of the negative reviews about the food and quality of the drinks on the all inclusive. We was aware of having to pay for the safe and tourist tax, as all hotels on mainland Spain and the islands have to charge the tourist tax. The reception staff were very polite and helpful. We was given a room on the 7th floor with an amazing view. We had a problem with the patio door which we could not open, we rang reception and within 5 minutes the maintenance man was there and fixed it, 10 minutes later we had problems with the safe and once again they were there in minutes assisting us. Later in our holiday the fridge packed up and they brought us a new one - so top marks for the maintenance team. Our room was cleaned every day by Marie Therese ( Mite) who was always smiling and friendly. There was a good selection of food in the restaurant but it could have been a lot hotter, nice cakes and selection of fresh fruit. Evening entertainment was good with singers every night, all with very good voices. Plenty of sunbeds (uncomfortable) available in the afternoon - not much chance of getting one in the morning. Entertainment team very good and hardworking. The hotel is in a prime location, 2 minutes walk to the beach, shops, bars, restaurants, bus stops all nearby. You can walk into Magaluf in 15 minute sand the promenades are flat and kept lovely and clean to go for walks. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I visited the Globales Santa Lucia in August to surprise family members who were already staying at the hotel. We’ve been visiting this hotel since 1997, so we’ve seen it evolve considerably over the years. During this stay, it was heartening to recognize some familiar faces.

The rooms are spacious, with all balconies offering views that overlook the beach and sea. Some reviews mention room size, but these aren’t suites—they’re standard hotel rooms, similar in size to those I’ve encountered in my travels. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. Although I encountered a slight language barrier when asking a cleaner for an extra towel, a quick Google search helped bridge the gap, and the staff member was very accommodating.

Most mornings, even up until 11 AM, the top deck still had plenty of available sunbeds, though these didn’t have cushions like the ones around the pool. The top deck is just a short 30-second walk to the pool. The outdoor pool can get quite busy, but the indoor pool remains quieter for those who prefer a more peaceful swim. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, being right on the beachfront, with both beaches just a 30-second walk from the door.

The food was lovely, with plenty of choices. Over the years, I’ve noticed that there’s always someone who finds something to complain about, but I found the food to be enjoyable. I heard some complaints about a staff member at the pool bar, but in my experience, this was simply a language barrier. When I spoke to him in Spanish, he was polite and cheerful. The restaurant staff were also polite and worked hard to clear away empty plates promptly.

I made an effort to speak a few phrases in Spanish throughout my stay, and this small gesture was met with fantastic customer service. It really added to the overall pleasant experience.

The entertainment team deserves a special mention—they’re brilliant. They work incredibly hard to engage guests and make sure everyone has a great time.

If I had to point out one negative, it would be the queue for the bar, which could get fairly long, especially in the evening. However, the staff were working diligently, and the wait was never more than 5 minutes.

Returning to this hotel after so many years felt like coming home. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Gracias a todo el personal del hotel, la comida era deliciosa y el personal era educado y servicial. Nos vemos la próxima vez

My husband and I are here at the moment. We're on our 7th night of 10. The hotel on arrival was lovely, clean & smelled fresh. Because we were late arrivals, almost 11pm we were told to go to the restaurant & get some food of which we were allowed to take to our room as the guy on reception said "it's been a long day for you" which was lovely of him. Check in was straightforward & we went to our room, which is lovely, enough space, comfortable beds, bath & shower, little fridge, tea & coffee facilities & a balcony with table & chairs overlooking the pools & beach/sea, absolutely beautiful. The staff here have been most welcoming & friendly. The cleaners come in every day unless, if you don't want them to, then just leave a sign on the door. The food is fantastic with themed nights, and the snacks are in abundance. The all-inclusive drinks are 2 per person at a time. Entertainment differs. The only thing is, it says free parking here & we hired a moped for 24 hours & and we were told we would have to pay to park overnight, which I refused, so we had to take the moped back early, so we didn't get our moneys worth on it. We paid for 24 hours & only got 6. The guy at reception insisted it was 10 euros a night parking. Overall there's so much to do here in Palma & Magaluf. This hotel is lovely & definitely worth it's 4 stars. I'd recommend & the weather has been perfect so far, average temp 24°. Thankyou hotel Globales Santa Lucia.

Myself and my husband just came back from holiday, 10 nights with half board for £3000; first of all this is not a 4 stars hotel no matter what anyone says, and here's why in my opinion:
-poor and mediocre food selection for breakfast and dinner
-dirty cups and plates in the restaurant
-small room and very old style bathroom;also the shower gel/shampoo was the cheapest you could ever find
-rooms walls are the thiniest possible, you could hear your neighbour breathing ;we weren't able to sleep at all
-the water in the shower smells like the worst public toilet, and my hair stinked for the entire holiday, that made me sick
-we were on the 6th floor and the wifi was quite weak
-rooms were cleaned every day but not the actual bedsheets, only the cover on top and the bins
-apart from the restaurant manager,a dark hair gentleman, which was nice and friendly, the rest of the staff wasn't the most aprochable one
-the pool was too small for the capacity of the hotel, and the fact that you couldn't find a free sun bed was dissapointing
-no concierge service and the check in was quite abrupt and we did not get many informations
-same for the check out as the receptionist did not ask if we enjoyed our stay or made any significant conversation
-you only get an iron if you pay for it and is 14euro for a week and another 4-5 euro for the iron board, which absolutely pathetic that the hotel doesn't offer this service complimentary

The only few good things were the location, the hotel is literally on the beach and for most of the rooms you get a nice view of the beach and the sea

Dear Bianca, We regret that we did not meet your expectations. We do our best to satisfy each and every one of our guests. On one hand, we offer a wide selection of food during breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We are sorry that, despite this variety, we did not meet your expectations. Additionally, we carry out thorough cleaning and disinfection in both the kitchen and restaurant, passing all safety and hygiene controls and relevant audits, so we do not understand what you may have found dirty. Furthermore, you did not report it to the maître or reception, so we were unaware of the issue and would have gladly assisted you on-site. I also don’t understand why you say you paid 14 euros for the iron when you actually only paid 4 euros, as the remaining 10 euros were returned to you as a deposit... Regarding the rooms, these were viewed by you beforehand through published photos. As for the smell of the shower water, this is the first time we have received a complaint about it, so we do not understand this observation. We understand that during check-in, due to the number of arrivals at that time, the information provided was necessary but not extensive. However, please remember that reception is available 24 hours a day, and there are three TUI guides always at your disposal. Thank you for complimenting the hotel’s location and the views from the room. We hope to welcome you back soon. Kind regards, Ángela, Assistant Manager at Globales Santa Lucía

As a past travel agent I would not recommend this hotel as a 4star.
The hotel itself is very clean, staff do work hard.
The rooms are not very big.
Anyone with mobility issues there is only 7 adapted rooms which in my option are not really big enough for people with wheelchairs.
The bathrooms are designed wrong also for people with wheelchairs.
Single Room Beds need to be pushed to one side to allow anyone with a wheelchair to get into bed.
Towels are very hard.
Soap & Shampoo dispensers are never filled up.

Food is terrible the breakfast is okay, but dinner is disgusting the food is either cold or tasteless, there seems to be theme nights each night but not to suit everyone's taste.
I had 2 parents with me in their 90's one was in a wheelchair and after 3 nights trying to eat in the hotel we give up and ate out.

Entertainment was average the animation team worked hard to encourage people to join in during the day and night.

Location is perfect for everyone especially for people with mobility issues, as its very flat.

You can hire a mobility scooter single or double from the hotel and they will bring it to you, single cost around 87 euro for the week.

Safe to hire for the week is 45 euro with 10 euro refundable.

You only have your room until 12 noon so if you need to extend it its 18 euro until 2pm

My parents and myself would not stay in this hotel again.

Overall we had a good holiday, the hotel is in a great location with good facilities but there were lots of small issues which let it down. We were all inclusive for 2 weeks mid September, staying on 7th floor. Nice sea view room with small balcony

Food: first week in the restaurant was quite good, second week was a repeat of the first but quality had gone seriously downhill. Restaurant staff worked really hard but plates were still piling up on tables waiting to be cleared. Also had to wait on several occasions for some of the buffet stock to be replenished, including chips! Pool snack bar was basic but good

All inclusive: we were a party of 4, but you could only get 2 drinks at a time. Cocktail menu was basic, Wetherspoons-like. You could serve your own drinks in the restaurant but wine machine very hit and miss; got 2 glasses of red wine from same machine at same time, first was cool and second luke-warm?? Don’t know how this could have been possible

Cleanliness: room could have done with being swept daily. Pool and snack bar area needed more attention. Glass balustrade in restaurant/pool only cleaned once, in time for a “manager’s party”. We were in a standard room on 7th floor; this floor was also shared by premium guests and they got their rooms cleaned first. This meant we didn’t get our rooms cleaned until 2pm even if we put the sign on the door, therefore if you wanted a siesta after lunch, you risked your room being missed by the cleaners. Also we didn’t realise you had to put a note on the bed if you wanted your sheets changing

Pool: only a small pool, but it’s adults only and the beach is right next door. People did reserve sun beds even though it says not to, but they do that everywhere and we were always able to get a sun bed. On 2 separate occasions, the parasols from upper terrace blew down onto the main pool sun bed area, luckily no one was injured

Entertainment: the animación team worked really hard. Evening entertainment started 10pm and was average; if you like the song “Stand By Me”, you will be in for a treat as 75% of them sang this

Staff: most of them were very helpful and pleasant although some could do with professionalism lessons, particularly Jessica from the pool bar
Managers hiding in their office, and nowhere to be seen apart from when it was their turn to go to the buffet. TUI reps were on site most of the time and very helpful

Lifts: only 3 lifts available to cover 8 floors; too much demand, also people getting injured by the lift doors. We did get stuck in the lift. It went to 3 different floors, but the doors never opened

Rooms: walls were extremely thin and we could hear people 2 rooms down coughing! We were provided with hand wash and hair/body wash on the wall. Whilst I understand this is a plastic saving measure, they were poor quality, very difficult to dispense and on further inspection, the “hair/body wash” was actually hand wash, which I wasn’t happy about when I realised

We recently stayed here and in general we enjoyed our stay!

Firstly - the location of this hotel is amazing! A beach on either side, a reasonably short bus journey to Palma, plenty bars and restaurants around, we couldn’t have been happier with the location. The views from the balcony were incredible and we never got bored of them!

The hotel was very clean and we can’t fault the housekeeping staff. Our room was cleaned regularly and to a high standard, very happy in that sense

Another lovely touch was that we stayed at this hotel for my birthday, and when getting ready for dinner on that day a lovely staff member knocked on our door with a bottle of fizz and two glasses for us and a little handwritten happy birthday note. We hadn’t told the hotel it was my birthday, so this was a lovely unexpected personal touch and really made me smile!

The animation team were fantastic, Martina in particular! She was great with all of the guests, such a funny personality and really really great at what she does - an asset to the hotel

We were half board and brought cash, but the reception can provide a fob that can be topped up and used to spend in the bars. Was very easy to top up at any time and quicker and easier to use at the bar, so we were really happy with this

We did have mixed reviews on the evening entertainment, but that’s down to personal taste. We absolutely loved the Motown Legends group that performed, and this hotel should absolutely book them again as I heard people talking about how amazing they were the next day too. But we did feel that some of the acts sang the same songs, so it did begin to feel a little repetitive. Maybe a mixture of shows would be good. A similar note, the music round the pool and played in the evening was almost the exact same every day, so again, just a bit repetitive but nothing that ruined our day

Sunbeds. This was our biggest frustration at this hotel. The booklet in the room advises that reserving sunbeds is prohibited and that management have the right to remove towels; however this doesn’t seem to be the case. From our balcony we witnessed a couple place their towels down at 8am when the pool opens. We spent the day at the pool from 9am and the couple didn’t appear back again until around 2pm. That’s 6 hours that nobody could sit on these beds beside the pool which we just feel is very selfish, and we would have liked to have seen the hotel enforce the rule about reserving sunbeds. This was a daily issue and although we were lucky enough to get beds, others weren’t so lucky

As for the food, lots of reviews saying the same thing here but for us the food wasn’t great. The breakfast was fine, we ate breakfast every morning and a good variety of options here, but we can’t say the same for the evening meals. We ate out most evenings as we didn’t feel there was a huge amount of variety nor was the food that enjoyable. It was average for us, but not quite what we’d expect from a four star hotel

In general we enjoyed our stay, the hotel was clean, ideal location and the staff were nice. Hopefully an improvement in the food and a bit of a stricter policy on reserving sunbeds would make a massive difference for the better

The hotel is classed as a 4 star, and it is most definitely not! We have just returned after a weeks stay. When you check in, you have to be prepared to spend about 100 euros. There is a tax of just over 40 euros, which has to be paid, then if you want pool towels, you have to pay a 20 euro deposit, which is repaid when the towels are returned, if you want clean towels during the stay you have to pay a euro per towel to get clean towels, we didn’t bother and finally, to be able to use the safe we had to pay 40 euros, when we returned the key we got 10 euros back, we could not remember the last time we had to pay to use a safe! The food was ok but a bit repetitive especially the deserts, there were no waiting staff, so had to get our own drinks, not what we are used to. A big issue was in the lounge In the evening, to get a drink, my husband and all other guests had to queue for a drink, once again no waiting staff, also the drinks were of a poor quality. We knew before we left the UK, that there was an issue getting a sun bed in the morning, the door to the pool are was unlocked at 8am, as the week progressed the queue became smaller.
This hotel needs to make quite a few improvements to make the hotel a 4 star, needless to say, we will not be returning!!

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay. We sincerely appreciate your comments and would like to clarify a few points. Firstly, the tourist tax is a standard charge that applies at any hotel on the island, and it goes towards various government funds, not directly to the hotel itself. We understand that this may come as a surprise, but it is important for the development of the island. Regarding the other charges mentioned, such as deposits and optional payments, we want to clarify that guests have the freedom to choose not to utilize them if they prefer. Our aim is to provide options and flexibility for our visitors. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the food, as we make a significant effort to ensure there is variety, quality, and flavor in all our offerings. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and your recognition serves as great motivation for the entire team. Once again, thank you for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Best regards, The Santa Lucía Team

When arriving at this hotel other than my passport being asked for there was no communication with details of the hotel, where my room was situated & what floor it was on, no idea where the main dining area was, no WiFi info given etc.
The room is very basic to say the least. No additional blankets/pillows available and it’s been freezing here for a few days! I’m woken every morning early by cleaning staff slamming/moving beds around just general noise. Walls are so thin so be warmed you will he heard!! Bath/shower are small, shower head fell off with my first shower, needs a good clean! No basic sanitary provided. Patio doors very tempi mental. Fridge door won’t shut if you have larger bottles of water in them.

Pool completely inadequate for a hotel this size.. other than two ducks who enjoyed the pool no one was in there. Obviously it’s going to be cold this time of year but not a welcoming inviting pool that could temp me into it & I love to swim.
Sun loungers need replacing & need more padding. Very uncomfortable and no towels provided either so remember to pack your own.
Generally a disappointing area which for me is the one area I want nice as this is where most of my day is spent. The photos on their website have been very cleverly taken.

As for the food & drink I’m just so disappointed. I’m spending money I shouldn’t be spending outside of the hotel to get a decent drink/cocktail. I have never know an all inclusive to be so limited on what’s actually included and what is I wouldn’t want to drink it anyway. The food is a very small selection, not a great choice & very basic. At least you won’t be putting weight on if you stay here!!!
The restaurant however is clean and tables are set nicely.

The entertainment team and professional people that come in have been amazing though so that’s been a pleasant surprise.

I sadly won’t be returning to this hotel. Sad as it’s location & view out onto the sea is beautiful but this hotel needs some serious changes if you want to continue advertising as a 4* this hotel is a 3* at it’s best.

Second visit here post-cruise, chosen mainly because short transfer from Palma and excellent location between two large beaches,
Not much difference from previous stay in 2022. Very clean rooms and public areas, friendly and polite Reception staff, but not as efficient or friendly in the restaurant which unfortunately still looks more like a mid-range transport cafe rather than a 4*hotel dining room. Food is rather questionable though plenty of variety but much of it cold; overheard another guest complaining about this to be told "what do you think the microwaves are for?" Would definitely be eating out if staying more than a couple of days. Small but adequate room with tiny balcony on 7th floor; contrary to what other posters have said, this did not allow us access to the roof-top pool and area.
Refused to join the early-doors queue for sunbeds which started over an hour before the pool area opened but managed to get very uncomfortable sunbeds on the upstairs terrace. On last day, suddenly there was a delivery of cushioned mattresses for the beds but unfortunately not enough for everyone! Though it has a little indoor pool with sauna and jacuzzi, the outdoor pool is far too small for the number of guests if the hotel is full - perhaps that explains the silly queuing. Many beds were left for much of the day occupied only by towels so the management really need to address this. Overall, it's an OK hotel but, if returning to Palma Nova I would certainly look at options.
