This was the largest hotel we stayed in during our 10 day hike on the Camino. As with all big hotels, it had its' positive and negatives. Good location near the camino and the town itself was a great stop with nice restaurants etc. The staff is dealing with lots of different camino groups so had got bad information from...

Decided to stay in a decent hotel night before starting this section of The Camino. The location is excellent with bars and restaurants just across the bridge. Room was fine, bathroom a bit strange with a glass partition from main room. Restaurant menu looked expensive compared to the surrounding restaurants and bars so we did not eat there. Staff at...

I think this is one of the largest buildings in Sarria. It's directly off the Way and is a nice stop. The lobby is tastefully decorated and they have a great buffet in the morning before you set off on your walk.

It was a long walking day on the Camino and I knew I would be staying at the Hotel Alfonso IX at the end of it, but I didn't know what to expect when I got there. As all Camino pilgrims know, you sometimes don't know what you'll be getting when you get to the day's destination. Anyway, once I...

The front office staff, particularly Antonio, were welcoming and efficient. The property is well maintained and situated right alongside the Way. One of our party tried the buffet breakfast which was hearty and good value.

I was booked at the Alphono IX by CaminoWays.com for a walk of the Camino from Sarria. It is located on the Camino de Santiago, which passes its door. You are alongside the river for a pleasant stroll. The room was clean and modern. I had dinner at the hotel and the portion sizes were massive. Sarria is small, so...

The hotel is situated just a stone's throw away from the old town and a hop and a skip from the new part if you're needing to stock up on any provisions, including a nice Desigual handbag or two. It overlooks a river but its location is not fabulous if its quaintness you're after, as it abuts a hospital and...

We stayed here for a night during a Camino hike and it was a great choice. It's convenient to many restaurants and the old town, rooms are nice, staff was helpful. The breakfast is great for hikers! We'd recommend this to anyone coming thru town.

Great, big rooms! Big and comfy bed! Very clean and easy to live on when walking el camino. Great breakfast with a lot of options. Dinner, don't eat there if you don't need to. The food was average . Go instead to the street just over the river or the main -Pelegrini street further up in the town. A lot...

It was my first large hotel since starting the Camino so it was nice to have some extra comforts. My room was very spacious, great bed, a bar fridge and a bath with a plug! Heaven! This is the last big town before Santiago so I was able to pick up anything I needed with lots of shops, restaurants and...
