Clean and tidy hotel. Great value in a central location within the town with parking at rear. Breakfast was great, and has facilities for drinks (teas, coffee, squash) during the day. There is no restaurant but there are plenty around that there's no issues in finding food. Beds were comfy and the room warm (too warm for us, but can...

Just back from our yearly visit to Chateau D-Oex . This is a lovely quiet and comfortable Hotel the beds are very comfy and you can open the windows for some nice mountain air. Quite bracing in the middle of January but very nice. Nice breakfast in the morning with lots of free tea and coffee and fresh fruit available...

This small hotel has every service one could want--comfortable rooms, quiet, and with easy access. As there are few rooms, they are in demand and one must reserve in adequate time. Breakfast is included with the room and features good cappuccino, a nice buffet of croissants, breads and local cheeses as well as fruits and yoghurts, hams and sausages. Only...

The manageress, Debbie, could not have been more helpful. The continental breakfasts are well laid out with plenty of everything. There is always fresh fruit and hot drinks for self service in the lounge/breakfast room. On previous recommendation we asked for a room away from the bar, the Caribou, which is a very pleasant location and like the hotel, well...

What a lovely find, small hotel with lovely staff and a great bar. Debbie who is English and I presume the manager couldn't have been more friendly and helpful when we asked any questions. The man in the bar was also great very friendly. We were so lucky with the weather as we had wall to wall sunshine every day....

Expected much better. Additionally, the bar on groundfloor level is so noisy that, on Friday night, it is impossible to sleep before 3 a.m. Breakfast is nothing to write home about (and if you write you wouldn't praise it).

What we liked: - Very clean - Good location in centre of village (but noisy at night with windows open) - Very good Wi-Fi - Bar with good beer next door, & restaurant What we did not like: - No space in bedroom to open large suitcases - No desk to sit down with laptop - Limited breakfast with poor...

Just needed to recuperate. Fancied a cold beer and some good grub. The food was really very good ... and the beer hit the spot. Unlike Montreux both were reasonably priced. Service as per Switzerland as a whole was at a snails pace ... but we didn't complain. Just admired the surroundings.

The hotel is located right in the centre of the little village of Chateau d'Oex. The reception was very friendly and helpful, the room nice with comfortable beds, a basic but sufficient bath room, Wifi worked well for us. Just downstairs on the little village square you can enjoy a beer and food and views on the mountains. You can...

Small friendly hotel with easy-going and helpful staff. Great situation not far from the station. The room was very comfortable and quiet, though friends who had rooms over the bar were not so lucky and didn't get a lot of sleep due to the noise - so beware! Remember to ask for a room well away from the bar. Breakfast...
