Whenever in the Valais, this is my stop-over for lunch or dinner. Try the Menu du Jour, excellent local wines. If you are luck, you will run in to charistmatic Christian Constantin. Enjoy their deserts.

During an unusual heat wave in Switzerland (temperatures stayed at 96 degrees,) most hotels had no A/C. But we felt lucky to find this one. The room was comfortable at 22 degree C, lowest temperature. it was clean, and the bed comfortable. The windows are small and low and overlooked a roof, but that was not our focus; just to...

We recently stayed here on a week's motorcycling trip around the Alps. The rooms were reasonably ok, certainly clean but it felt very slightly corporate. Service at Reception was fine but we weren't made to feel overly welcome at the bar. We were about to be served by a barmaid/waitress when the Restaurant Manager directed her away to a table....

My family have stayed at this very conveniently placed hotel on a number of occasions over the years since it opened in the late 80s or early 90s. Very sadly the owners seem to have allowed the hotel to stand still and the rooms now need to be updated badly. The decoration was very dated and the pillows and bedding...

I stayed at this hotel with my kids (9 and 11 years old). The rooms are very nice and, although not brand new, very well kept and clean. The restaurant is very good: we had pizza, homemade pasta and desserts and everything was delicious. The waitresses were very kind and always smiling. We also liked the hotel's position. We could...

This is never going to be the most exciting hotel you will stay in. But if you get the right rate (I paid around CHF100 incl breakfast), it's a good option in Martigny if you need a bed for the night (and you wouldn't want more than one night). Plus: - cheap - easy to find location at a main...

Things have changed since 2006. A new management a new kitchen and restaurated rooms. A nice hotel. Medium class. Very friendly service. Good restaurant and also a Pizzeria. Good local wines! A lovely Terasse, in summertime, situated behind the hotel (away from the road) Price-quality is right. Bartmcfly

Old and worn out. Our "non smoking" room was a smoking room which they attempted to hide with lots of perfumed cleaners. Hint: next time, remove the ashtrays from the bathroom and bedroom. Smoking very pervasive in the public areas. If you're not a smoker, you will find the breakfast room particularly offensive. It looked like a room full of...

“I would ask if there is a room where you can see the TV from the bed unless you want to sit in an upright chair. Noise is not an issue even on the side that looks onto the road to Italy.”
