My father, brother and friend all stopped off here after a long drive from Chichester. We were greeted by the chef and lovely barmaid, along with Rufus the spaniel. They were friendly and welcoming telling us what was on special. They were attentive, we sat by the gorgeous open fire and asked if we wanted more kindling on incase we...

Food is so bad that I will never eat there again. the meat was half cooked and the taste was bad as it gets. Please do not wast your time booking a table. I have never eaten any thing like it. Thank you Mucky Duck for spoiling my Birthday lunch.

Visiting from Australia, where my sister and brother in law live. My brother from America joined us as well. Just a really nice feel to the place, no airs or graces, friendly staff including the dog! Went there a couple of times during our stay and had a good pub lunch, nothing fancy, exspensive by Australian standards, but that's England

Had Sunday lunch at the "mucky duck" what a disappointment, got to be one of the worst dinners I've ever had, the whole meal was swimming in gravy, two boiled potatoes cut in half to share for two amongst other veggies. And a price tag of £14.95 each, I half expected dick Turpin to serve it to me. Needless to...

Very helpful and friendly staff. Welcoming, warm and cheerful. Flexible with arrival and departure times. Comfortable beds and rooms adequate for our needs although needed to be much cleaner! Happened to arrive on curry night and food was very good. Would stay again.

Stayed here numerous times while working in the local area. Nice pub, friendly & helpful staff, nice rooms and great breakfasts. Plenty of parking and all other guests/customers all seem really nice l. Will stay here again when working in the area

Decent drinking pub, dog friendly. Most of the excellent reviews seem suspiciously similar in content praising what would be considered standard. The food was expensive and rather meagre portions, the salt and pepper pots were grimy. The other person eating was sharing her lap and her dinner plate with her dog. The accomodation was fairly clean, although the much lauded...

We stayed for four nights whilst visiting the Goodwood Revival. The room was reasonable. It did smell a little bit musty, but was large enough, and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately we had not realised they had a dog, which had the run of the pub, and was quite excitable. He would run around our feet and sit under the...

Lovely pub off the beaten track. Rufus was great but i imagine not everyone's cup of tea. Room was basic but at least had top sheet and not just a duvet, which is fundamental on a hot summers night. Would happily go again.

The pub is well off the beaten track, its old and full of character, the room was in the Chalet opposite the pub, so quiet, the room was modern, clean, Tea making and TV, WiFi, the only trouble is I can only use EE mobile and no signal at all ! The service was great, the beers were excellent and...
