I had the chance to visit Portishead for business and spend two nights at the Gotha Villa in October 2013. The place is absolutely lovely, I slept in the front-view room and I was traveling alone. Clean, tidy, warm atmosphere. Strong Internet connection. Lovely made breakfast including all kind of cereals, milk, tea, coffee, butter, fresh jam/marmalade, juice, toasts, fresh...

I think the last review is a bit harsh and a bit unfair. If you are looking for a Premier inn or a Costa coffee style hotel, then this will not be for you pay £80 and go there. If you looking for a Bed and Breakfast with a bit of charecter for £45 then you will love this place....

We arrived at 16:45, a little later than arranged, to be told that the room was not ready as the bed had not been changed from the last occupier. We were in the 2nd floor room. This had not been cleaned either, and was scruffy and dusty. There was no stair carpet, just bare boards. To be blunt the house...

3 of us stayed at Elizabeth's; We shared the biggest room, that has a double and a single beds, with view of the sea and a gorgeous fireplace as main feature. The house is full of caractere, the double bed was really comfortable, the bathroom a little small but does fine, and the cold breakfast was opulent and tasty. Although...

The Villa might seem slightly run down at first glance but once you walk in and are greeted by the very friendly owner you get a different perspective. The room was full of character and the views of the sea and marina are fantastic. The B&B is located just a few minutes away from the village core as well as...

Thank you is the best title title I could think of. My short stay at Gotha Villa was very pleasant, I was made extremly welcome, ( very spoilt with my coffee, my very own jar !). From the moment I arrived and met Elizabeth and Bramble ensured I was comfortable. My room at the very top at the back looked...

We stopped at Gotha Villa on a walking tour of the Severn estuary. We were surprised by the gorgeous views from the bedroom we stayed in. When we checked into our bedroom, the sun was setting over the Bristol Channel and the room was bathed in golden light! After having stayed in several overly-stuffy B&Bs along the way, we found...
