Great room, pleasant staff and some tasty rhubarb muffins. We weren't initially impressed by the location (by 304 in Twillingate) but it was central for the places we wanted to visit and it was much nicer to walk to the theatre than to drive and park bumper to bumper. We would have chosen 4.5 had that been a choice as the breakfast was OK but uninspired (white toast and French toast or eggs and sausage or ham). Overall a great experience.

The rooms are absolutely charming, the breakfast hearty and delicious, and the people who work they’re friendly and obliging. The sight of icebergs in the bay was thrilling. We had delicious pan fried cod at D And T’s in a cheerful, homey atmosphere.

What a nice place to stay. The rooms and sitting room is very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and the pastry left out near the tea was just wonderful. The only slight thing I would say is that it right next to the road coming in so not the most scenic location but everything is close and its a delight to stay there

I stayed only one night while on a tour. I wish we could have stayed longer. This B&B was amazing. Beautiful rooms and amenities. Such welcoming hosts. Very good location in Twillingate. If I'm ever back in the area, I would stay again without hesitation. Thank you.

We just spent under two weeks in Newfoundland staying in B and B's along the way. The Applewood Inn epitomizes Newfoundland hospitality. They made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The room was super clean and a ceiling fan in the room kept it nice and cool. Bottled water, granola bars and chocolates were in our room. Specialty coffee and teas, and freshly baked treats were available 24 hours a day in the parlour. Breakfast by Daphne was unmatched anywhere. We stayed two nights and the cost was very reasonable. We were treated like guests, not just paying customers. We highly recommend the Applewood Inn and would return in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful night in this beautiful old home. The room was spotlessly clean and cosy, and we enjoyed the friendly hospitality along with a delicious breakfast in the morning! Thankyou for a nice stay!

Our stay at the AppleWood Inn was very nice. The home was clean, our room was tastefully done and the service was very good. We were welcomed to use the home as if it was ours. We could store things in their fridge if needed and our host even let us use her washing machine for a quick load of laundry. There were always cakes or cookies available to eat in the kitchen, or we could make a cup of coffee or tea. Each morning we had a plentiful, homemade breakfast. The B&B was situated in a central location. Lovely place; thank you for looking after us so well.

We booked this place a couple of months before our July visit based on reviews from last year. While in Bonavista I was checking our next place (here) and read the bad review that had just been posted. Needless to say we were a little worried about what we would find. There was absolutely no need to have worried. Yes, we were checked in by two young ladies, not the owners, whom we never met. Who cares? The young ladies went through everything with us just as well as at any of the other b&b's. Yes, they took a credit card reading when we arrived. So did all of the other places and these people had not required a deposit from us. This place is located on the main intersection in town, however to call it busy is an exaggeration. Twillingate isn't busy at any time. We slept with the windows open both nights and weren't disturbed by noise at all. Our room was the nicest we had in any of the b&b's we used in Newfoundland and two of those were the number 1 rated b&b's by Trip Advisor, in their areas. The room was huge with a very comfortable queen sized bed and there were a great many small touches like fresh robes for each of us hanging in the closet. If anything needs work it was the breakfasts. Not that we really had any complaint. There was plenty of food with lots of choices, including freshly baked muffins each morning, however there wasn't the little homey touches with special owners' recipes for breakfast that some of the other places had. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. This, by the way, is not to say that other peoples' complaints are not legitimate, just that everyone should read all of the reviews, I guess ,and decide what is important to you.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in Twillingate. We enjoyed Audra’s hospitality in this lovely B and B. She gave us lots of tips for things to do, places to hike, and restaurants to try. Breakfast was great and it was so nice to come back mid day to some fresh baked goodies. Highly recommend for your stop in Twillingate.
