Sleepy Noggin was THE perfect place for our sleepy noggins! Thank you so, so so much to Grant and Julie for your amazing and gracious hospitality! Your place was a safe and comfortable haven for my sister and I during our isolation after rushing home to be with our unwell father. The house was perfect and fit all of our needs and more! And where else would you go and neighbours would drop off baked goods and fresh fish!! lol From our hearts to yours, ...

This is a lovely and spacious B&B. We loved our very clean and cozy room with a wonderful lake view. Eric has given us many good excursion and restaurant tips. The breakfast is varied and very tasty. Thank you Ruth for preparing a tasteful gluten-free version for Dirk. A guest fridge and coffee and tea facilities were available. We felt comfortable in the 3 nights and would recommend this B&B. We only found it a little disturbing that the noises from the neighboring rooms were clearly audible.

What an incredible B&B! When Eric opened the door to my room I was blown away, it was like being in a beautiful hotel. Huge comfy bed, personal shower and bathroom, TV with dozens of channels including non-local ones. The area in Durrell is wonderfully quiet and close to hikes and a grocery mart and the main parts of Twillingate are only a 6 min drive away. The views were amazing. Eric and Ruth were super friendly and offered advice on what to see and do, they also made sure I didn't forget anything when I left. The breakfast was also like being served a fancy hotel breakfast. Wowzers. Thank you, it made my first trip to Newfoundland very special.

We stayed three nights at Sleepy Noggin. Our room included bathroom with shower, fridge, TV and ample closet space. The owners greeted us at this spacious home on arrival and each morning Wanda prepared a breakfast to remember. There was everything on the table one could imagine including locally-made preserves; a generous hot breakfast was served with choices of tea and an endless supply of coffee. Our experience relaxing in the evenings and at breakfast with other guests was really great. There is a nice front veranda for afternoon relaxing. Wanda was able to answer many questions about the area and way of life in this quaint Town. Sleepy Noggin's location in Town is in a quiet area but close to things. We spent a lot of time walking from there and exploring the area.

We stayed two nights at this lovely B and B in Twillingate. The room was very comfortable and clean. Wanda provided us with a tasty breakfast each morning and was helpful with her knowledge of the area. It's a great choice if you're in this area.

I've never stayed in a b&b before so I wasn't sure what to expect. My husband, 7 year old son and myself spend one night at the Sleepy Noggin. Our room was on the main floor. It was very spacious with a queen bed and a cot for my son. There was a private on suite bathroom. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and well kept. We arrived after 5pm and there was a note on the door to call the host for service. When we called the hostess was pleasant and said she'd be there in less than 5 minutes to show us around. We used the time to stretch our legs and look around the property. Though the house is not located directly on the water, just a short walk took us to a beautiful view. Our hostess arrived in 5 minutes as promised and was very pleasant and kind offering us discounted tickets to a Whale watching boat tour and advice on places to eat and see while we were in the area. Our beds were comfortable and we had a good night's rest. Breakfast the following morning was served at 8am. Again, our hostess Wanda was very kind. She made a delicious sausage, bacon and egg breakfast and even made my son some pancakes! There was a variety of options available for breakfast including cereal, toast with homemade jams, fruit salad and yogurt. We checked out early to make it to our next destination but the overall experience was excellent! Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you Wanda!

Our recent trip to NL included a two night stay in Twillingate. The Sleepy Noggin is a wonderful place to stay! The house is beautiful and immaculate! The breakfasts we enjoyed at this B&B were the best on our trip. Wanda is a fantastic host and cook who helped with every need and made our stay unforgettable. We attended a Shed Party, which was fabulous and the dinner theatre, which was fantastic! We highly recommend the Sleepy Noggin if you ever find yourself headed to Twillingate.

We have just completed a 2 week tour of NL staying in various b and b's. While the Sleepy Noggin' was good it missed the presence of an onsite owner/manager. The room was fine, not exceptional, but the lack of hot water both mornings of a 2 night stay was disappointing. Breakfasts were excellent even though repetitive. If I was going to Twillingate again I would aim for a view of the water. I believe this property is in transition between the former owners and new management so they will likely work out the kinks.
