Detailed Reviews
We were very happy that we stayed at Echoes of the Ocean, on the advice of my sister (who had stayed there previously). We stayed in one of the waterfront rooms with a small kitchenette. There were chairs and a fire pit right outside our door, which we enjoyed sitting with a drink and enjoying the view. It was great to watch the fishing boats come in every evening. Laundry machines are available, for a small fee. The room and ensuite were clean and comfortable, and the location was ideal for exploring the surrounding area.

The hostess, Linda, was amazing. Met us at the room and told us of the highlights of Twillingate. The room had a beautiful view, when booking try to get one of the front rooms, and the room was very clean and presentable, the bed was comfy, and they provided wood for a fire outside at night. It had all our needs and would highly recommend this location for a stay and the cost was very reasonable. A kudos goes out to Ivan who was the maintenance associate for the unit and spent some time with us at the fire.

We loved our stay at Echos of The Ocean. We were initially greeted by Ivan who was very nice and helpful even advising us that he would start a fire at the oceanside firepit any evening we wished to have one and giving us some iceberg ice to use for our drinks.
We had a 2 bedroom unit which was well set up with all that we needed including a well equipped kitchen. Each room has its own bathroom. The unit was very clean. You can sit on the front porch and look out on the harbour which is beautiful in the evening.
Linda , the owner is also very nice and very easy accommodating.
I would definitely stay again and recommend them to anyone who staying in Twillingate.

Very nice newer building on the harbour side of the road. Our room faced the water and was well appointed and clean. Ivan was great about giving us information about the area and offered to light a fire in the pit anytime if we wanted. In house laundry was a big bonus. Lovely little place in a beautiful village. We would stay with them again when in Twillingate.

The accommodations were clean, spacious and quite delightful. Our hosts Ivan and Wayne were so helpful with information as to where the best places to go to see the icebergs. They found us people to take us out on their boat to see the icebergs it was just the four of us truly a personal experience. Can't say enough about them.

The best place to stay in Twillingate, NL. Absolutely beautiful accommodations. Had a two bedroom cottage and each bedroom has its own ensuite. All this for less than $200 including taxes. Living room area, kitchen, two bedrooms and nice deck. We will be back!

If any of you are travelling to Newfoundland and are heading to Twillingate, there is a really great bed and breakfast called Echoes of the Ocean. It is a brand new house and the rooms have ensuite bathrooms. The people who own it live in a house behind it - they are very friendly but do not interfere if you want privacy.Twillingate is a neat little place -- there are a couple of Boat tours that go out of there that are really neat as well.

I spent the better part of 2 weeks exploring Newfoundland and I believe Twillingate is among my favorite places on the island. The ruggedness of the land, the sheltered bay with the colorful boats and the hospitality here are simply amazing. Our host at the "Echoes of the Ocean" was Wayne. Trust me this guy is the man. A true Newfie with a heart of gold and love for his island. We shared many stories with him and he told us about growing up in Newfoundland and his life as an "Islander". Very passionate about the people who stay at his B+B and always making sure you are well taken care of. He prepared us a great breakfast and the rooms and living area were spotless. Wayne is the kind of person that make you want to return back to places like Twillingate for a second or third time. Thanks for everything and hope to see you again someday.

The echo of the Ocean in your head is all you will have here on ocean no nothing, just a tiny motel room with an awful bed could not sleep paid the penalty to get out of the second night there. Owners live up the street so not on site, tried to be friendly but could not overcome the place, just plain unpleasant,

The sign in the living room as you enter says, "Enter as guests, leave as friends. It is absolutely true. We noticed many others come for a night or two to see all the sights of Newfoundland. We chose to stay here for 5 nights and really experience the people in the area. We hit the jackpot. We were treated by Wayne and Linda amazingly. They are very kind and generous people who really went out of their way to make sure our entire stay in Twillingate was memorable. Wayne took us out in his boat. It was during fishing season and...well, wow! The cod were so plentiful, it was something few non-Newfoundlanders see in their lifetime. It was basically drop the line, pick up a fish, drop the line, pick up a fish. There was no need to go to the guys you see advertised to bring you out. Wayne has been here his entire life. He knows everything you need to know and presents it from his heart.
We went on a hike from Spinners Cove around the top of the peninsula. You don't have to be in amazing shape to do it, but you do have to be in shape. DO THIS HIKE!!!!!!!! We have traveled a lot and I feel that the scenery and the quietness we experienced are surpassed anywhere. We were hiking for 3 hours and we didn't see another person. The beauty was of the sort that one sits down and says, "I can't believe I am seeing this!"
We went on a short easy hike to "The top of Twillingate"-very nice.
Actually in the backyard of the B & B is hill to climb. The view from the top is magnificent--of the entire harbor. What a treat. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the top and offers great solitude.
Do everything I mentioned and stay at this place (not for just a night) and you will have a fabulous vacation time.
