Hubby and I have stayed in many B&B's over the years (probably 25+) and Captain's Legacy rates in our top 5. It is superb. The hosts, John and Addie, have thought of every possible detail, and even added in a few more thoughtful touches. This was the first B&B where we were offered breakfast menus to be filled out the... From the moment I spoke with John (the owner) I knew I was going to have a great experience. I lucked out, and it was beyond my expectations. John and Addie were accommodating, friendly and warm people with great knowledge of the area. I stayed in a very cozy room with an ensuite bathroom. It was perfect for me (and... More

Our first B&B and I'm sure they have spoiled us for any other.... the bar has been set too high. Quaint, cozy, well appointed rooms all topped with Addie's and John's charm. We had the Mates Room and adored it...... felt like a hidden secret..... very private. Thank you so very much for your hospitality.

We recently stayed in one of the larger rooms (captains). It had a lot of space, a couple chairs to sit and look out over the water and a spacious full bathroom. For breakfast you had the choice of several offerings accompanied by some delicious scones. The owners were very friendly, accessible but let you had your space. Breakfast was... More

Our great experience started months ago when we telephoned the B&B and spoke with John. He was so helpful in describing the rooms to us. After we booked he sent us an email containing information about the area. The day FINALLY came for our visit. I smiled from the time we arrived until leaving this morning. It was all so... More

We stayed there for two nights and felt we could stay a week! John and Addie make you feel right at home. The decor, the amenities and the view are second to none. Easily the best during our one month stay in Newfoundland! Highly recommend to our friends and will return soon. The breakfast scones are worth the trip alone!!!

We spent June and July travelling from Vancouver BC to Quebec City and then throughout Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, consequently we stayed in some very good accommodations and some, not so good. Captain's Legacy was by far the best. The breakfasts were excellent, the rooms clean and comfortable and our hosts went out of their way to ensure our every... More
