We had a wonderful week at the Melia. The beach, the water, and all the activities were wonderful. A shout out to Chino, Victor and Yandi . We had a lot of fun playing volleyball with you all. A special thank you to Yunismy and Haila in guest services. They were excellent! Jorge, Celia, Chevi, Edil, Alberto, Rinaldo, and the famous Charlie. Thank you all for your wonderful service. The hotel was constantly being cleaned - a shout out to Adela. Last but not least a big shout out to Fierro, the executive chef. Even with the supply problems, the food was great. It was great to have met you. I look forward to coming back.

Very good stay at Melia Cayo Coco. Our recognition to the staff and the management for keeping the resort so good and well -kept. We liked the good and never went hungry. They have an awesome beach, we spent most the time there. We would like to be able to come back in the future to see our cuban friends again, the Prince, Gippsy, Carmen, Lucy, everyone was amazing!

It was my first time in this hotel. Since we arrived at the hotel everything was very good, the food was good, the treatment of the workers was excellent, especially the Prince, always walking around the hotel asking the guests about their stay. We love the food and drinks. The facility is very clean and the beach is awesome. We loved the Cuban days every Thursdays, there you can dance and have a very good food. We will come back!

This is a very good hotel with very good conditions of cleanliness and maintenance. We liked the food, the cuban chefs Edel and the Ddominican Fierro always supervising the service of their people and the offer. We always find good cocktails in bars. The entertainment activity is very good, there is always something yo do during the day and at night. The staff is a sweetheart and always strives to make you feel well cared, from the reception to the gardeners, the cooks, the Guests Experience, the waiters, and of course the Community Manager Yanquiel and his boss Gippsy always concerned about the visitor . We would gladly return!

Best two week holiday at Melia Cayo Coco, first 2 weeks in May! This was our 4th time and many more to follow. We had a beautiful room which was impeccably cleaned daily, all the cleaning staff were very hard working and friendly. We had a minor issue with the A/C, it was repaired immediately. We tried to shower between 3:00 & 4:00pm each day and had good water pressure and an abundance of hot water each day, and our bed was very comfortable. ALL the staff throughout the resort are amazing and their kindness and friendliness go beyond anywhere we have travelled and is what keeps bringing us back to this resort. I will not be able to list/remember all the names of the staff that we interacted with, but will include the ones I do remember. Starting with the fantastic gardeners who work so hard to make everything look great. We had many fun visits with the various gardeners including Borge, Joel, Rolando, Felipe and Gorge. It was sooo nice to see Gorge again, wonderful human being. In the buffet Celia, Omar, Beatrix, Chino, Charles and many more, are so wonderful to see each day. The Snack Bar have such a great staff, Yelenis, Dayan, Dannys, Joseph, and many others go above and beyond their job. I was not feeling well one afternoon (hypoglycemic-my fault) and 3 of the servers went out of their way along with the cook to bring me food that would help me feel better, even though it wasn’t on the menu they all made sure I was able to eat something and that I was okay. I am so grateful to all of them. The Lobby Bar staff are a busy crew and do their best to ensure our drinks are served. Tamara, Osvaldo, The woman who works evenings, name starts with an “A”, all the staff in the Lobby are exceptional. The Entertainment Team is unbelievable, they work so hard at meeting everyone and making us feel welcomed. Maite, Victor, Chocolate Mamma, Lea, all of them just extraordinary people. Throughout the resort, Carlos on the beach, Carlitos at the pool, the many cleaning ladies that keep all the washrooms cleaner than anywhere I have ever been!!!! And of course Gippsy who did a wonderful job in taking care of our booking request. And we finally the met the Prince/Yanquil, so much fun, and the front desk staff cannot do enough to ensure we are having the best holiday ever. The wi-fi works so well at this resort. You get 5 hours at a time, literally takes minutes to have the front desk add another 5 hours. We found that much improved over past years. Were there food shortage, unfortunately yes. Not to the fault of any of the staff or the hotel, it’s life in Cuba, so be it. Did we go hungry, absolutely not, there is always plenty of choices. Oh, and churros are such a great addition by the pool in the afternoon, we certainly embraced those! We will be back next year, already excited for the vacation ahead!

Decided to give it a try based on a friends recommendation. Been to Cuba many times but usually go to Varadero. Overall experience is very positive . Being an 18+ provided the needed relaxation atmosphere. The weather and the ocean cooperated - couldnt ask for better. The beach is just perfect - wide clean sand beach , not overcrowded, plenty of tents with seemingly new beach beds. Never had a problem to find a spot. The hotel Cozy, laid back, not too big ( just what I like), very friendly and helpful staff. Check in - a breeze. A ride to the room - a pleasant bonus. The valet actually took time to explain the facilities and how things work. Nice guy too. The room - had a standard room . I think it could use an update, but overall - very clean , large and comfortable, with a rocking chair. Though it may be a matter of taste, but the king size bed was a bit too hard for me, even though I prefer hard mattresses. Room is well air-conditioned, having everything you would want and expect. The minibar - restocked every day. The only problem I had with the water pressure. Too often to my taste when trying to take a shower the water was merely dripping so you cant even flip the switch to shower. Need to run the water for quite some time till you get it warm/hot. Didint bother the management with this, but thought I would mention it. The front desk is very friendly and helpful, as are the various bars around the property. The WiFi us decent, although you need to turn off the Wifi function when you are not using the phone or you will run out of time quickly. The front desk will extend it, but wish they tell people that this is how it should be done. The food - generally speaking, good enough , with plenty of variety, but mostly the same every day. Variety allows you to get something different every day. Dont bother with the beef, they dont know how to cook it. Not even on the grill, or otherwise. The only beef dish that was really good, were the beef patties. Plenty of fish and chicken options , lots of salads, and an added bonus - they had smoked salmon every day . Also, nice big shrimps either cooked or on the grill. One of my favorites were crepes prepared in front of you with cooked fruits toppings. There is a young guy (dont remember his name) who makes them the best. Other cooks - depends.. I would say , overall, the biggest assets of this resort are the beach and the people, everything else is a pleasant bonus. I heard that they had pretty good evening shows and entertainment, but due to the fact that the resort was under major attack of mosquitoes, I was spending evenings in my room. People I spoke to said that I was missing out.. Liked it for sure, and will be coming back. Unrelated to the resort but still important, Sunwing has to have a better coordination between the time they collect travellers from the resorts and departure time. While my flight was delayed twice , we were picked up at 7:15PM while the flight left almost at midnight, leaving everyone in an airport without air-conditioning and exploding of mosquitoes. Also without food as the airport vendors were few and had nothing really to offer. All in all, the vacation was great, loved the beach and especially the people . I will be coming back !

It is very gratifying to know that you had a relaxing vacation at our hotel Meliá CC. It is good that your friend was kind enough to contribute to us by recommending us to you, and it is good that we did not disappoint you. We can't imagine how happy we are to know that your experience was very positive. We are very pleased to know that you felt so welcome with the conditions of the entire facility, for its relaxing atmosphere, and for the climate and the wonderful beach that this area of the country offers. Our staff is grateful to you for recognizing their extreme kindness, their cheerful character and their willingness to serve and be useful to the visitor. We must recognize that there are still a group of our standard rooms that need to be renovated. As far as possible, and taking into account our investment plans and the situation with supplies, we are working on improvements in the facility, including the rooms. In any case, we are very happy to know that your room was very clean and with a good atmosphere and comfort, and with a good replacement service. We are very sorry that the mattress on your bed was a little hard, but we would like you to know that our Housekeeping staff would have gladly changed it if you had requested it in our Guest Experience department. Either way, we're glad this wasn't a major inconvenient for you. We apologize for the inconvenient with the water pressure, we receive the comment with good will, as it is so that we can strive for improvements in everything possible. Unfortunately, we have had some system failures that have affected the water pressure in some rooms at one time or another, but this is something we keep working on systematically. It is good that the reception staff, as well as the rest of the team, offered you a warm welcome and treated you with such kindness. Actually, the way of providing the WIFI service is not so liked by some visitors, but it was established that way by the company that offers it. In any case, your comment about the need for the reception staff to explain it during check-in has already been discussed with that department. We are very comforted to know that you found the food offer quite good and varied, that you always found something to eat, and that you never went hungry. Supply issues prevent us to offer a better menu variation throughout the week, but this is something we have to deal with daily, and we strive to provide the best offer possible. Your observation about the quality of the meat preparations has already been discussed with the kitchen staff and the chefs. We are convinced that they will take all the necessary measures to improve in this aspect. Normally, our cooks have always been characterized by the quality of their elaborations, but we understand that perhaps someone are failing in their good performance, and in this sense it is real that we must be more vigilant and demanding. We are convinced that the greatest treasures of this complex are our beach and our staff. In fact, our visitors constantly tell us so. Mosquitoes are really annoying at some peak times during the morning and night, even more in these months of humidity and high temperatures, made worse by the coastal environment in which we are placed. In any case, we continue to apply fumigation programs, both internally, and externally with the use of small planes to minimize their effect. We are very sorry for the inconvenient you had with your Sunwing agency and for the conditions in which you had to wait for your flight at the airport. This really is out of our responsibilities, but it would be timely if you forwarded your complaint in this regards to your agency. The standard rooms were spacious and well kept. The AC was amazing and solar power operated. The buffet had great food and variety during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are extremely kind and welcoming, especially the server Joel. El La Carte. Would suggest more events for younger guests.

Excellent everything. We came to relax from the stress of work and day to day, and we really did. You feel so good at Meliá Cayo Coco that you want your stay to last forever. There is nothing negative that we can say, for us the inconvenients of supplies are insignificant, everything we like we have had. The hotel is everything that is always said, a clean and welcoming place, with good service, an acceptable offer, a spectacular beach, and above all a wonderful staff. Our greetings to all, especially to the cooks who prepared such good dishes for us, to their chef Fierro who is always aware of everything, to the boys and girls at the bars, to the Guest Experience staff, to the receptionists, to the Sales Manager Gippsy and to the super friendly and helpful Prince Yanquiel.

We have had wonderful vacations here at the Meliá Cayo Coco. We came a little distrustful because of some bad reviews that we read in these forums. However, they really managed to impress us with the quality of service and attention offered, with the quality and variety of the gastronomic offer, the conditions of comfort and cleanliness of the entire facility, Aldo for the activities program, and above all for the excellent staff. Very nice and friendly place Great service Stayed there before and already planing December vacation Sport centre very helpful marked for us pickleball court on existing tennis court we and our friends could play pickle ball. They don’t have equipment yet, but we are planning to supply for them
