Perfect, central location for all Culebra activities. In secluded hills about 10 minutes to airport & town. We were in room #2 and it was spacious and airy. I think we had the A/C on once - and it was to drown out a barking dog, not because it was too hot. (The barking dog only happened once....) Cliff is a wonderful host, very well-informed but not pushy. (The hosts are a US couple who have been going to Culebra for many years. With a full house, the shared kitchen is a little cramped, but fun to meet new people. A microwave would be a nice addition. The swimming pool is tiny - more for cooling down after abusy day in the hammock....

What a wonderful surprise had been found Casa Resaca to enjoy the Culebra island and its beaches. This place is perfect as a hidden corner to scape, relax and rest from the, sometimes, noisy beaches. At the end of a sunny day, find its charms, tranquility relaxed environment is really adorable! Off course, this is because the attention, care and love that Maureen and Cliff gave to this home, because this is what Casa Resaca really is, a Home.

I think this was our sixth annual stay at Casa Resaca, and each year we seem to add a day or two to our trip! This time was 9 days, and as usual we had an absolutely fantastic stay. Maureen and Cliff are wonderful hosts and have become great friends over the years. They have decades of experience in Culebra and are genuinely happy to share their knowledge with you. Rooms are large and clean, and you're bound to meet other interesting guests in the shared kitchen when grabbing some of Cliff's powerhouse coffee in the mornings. The entire property is relaxing and very low key, and you could easily spend hours in the hammock on the porch or in the dip pool. The weather on our recent trip was so perfect that we were rarely at the property except in the evenings, but it was still wonderful to see Cliff and Maureen. In fact, we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

We found Casa Resaca via Trip Advisor and the many reviews here provided a good picture on what to expect for this property. Maureen & Cliff were helpful & responsive prior to our booking and leading up to our 2 night stay (shortened by 1 night due to flight delay out of San Juan). We arrived mid-day and Cliff & Maureen greeted us upon our arrival then showed us our rooms (the front room upstairs & one on main level in front). They gave us a few tips & suggestions (ex. places to rent snorkel gear (a must for Culebra!), best beaches and dining spots (note: The Krusty Krab is a must for a magnificent sunset (1 of the best tips from Cliff & Maureen was "get to the Krusty Krab early to get a table as it's first come first serve"). The property and rooms are very clean and comfortable. It is not a 5 star luxury resort (there are none on Culebra to my knowledge) and they don't have daily room cleaning/ towel service, but we didn't need it for our brief stay, however, I am sure that Cliff & Maureen would accommodate if attention was needed. Our rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked great. The common areas are limited (one indoor on screened-in porch, one on front porch and the small outdoor patio /area by dip pool) and they are just that, common areas, so just understand that if you spend time outside of your room that you will probably be interacting with other guests as well as the hosts at some point. Yes, there are roosters and they make a lot of noise, but when you visit Culebra you will quickly see they are everywhere and I'm not sure there are any accommodations that would avoid the roosters. The location is not central to downtown and is not beach front, but that's not an issue on this small island. Downtown is only a 5 minute golf cart drive and most beaches are only about 5-10 minutes via golf cart. Casa Resaca provides beach towels and beach chairs to use which was one less thing to pack or rent upon arrival. All in all, this property and the host were very good!

Hi, We would be glad to pick you up at the ferry with advance notice, but strongly advise renting some form of transportation while on Culebra. As far as ferry tickets, you can go on line to purchase for a $15. service fee, or I can pass on some alternatives in our FYI during the booking process. Cheers ! Maureen
