I went to Culebra with 3 girlfriends at the beginning of March and we had the best time staying in the upstairs of the Main House at Mango Fish. Conveniently situated on the island between downtown and Flamenco Beach, Mango Fish provides a clean, homey, perfect place to stay. The property owner and manager are also very attentive and helpful. Could not be pleased with our stay!

We (my gf, her daughter and I) had a very positive experience staying at MangoFish. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for something low key with the feel of being and living like a local. We stayed in the downstairs guesthouses. If you get the top floor, you get the balcony and the parking spot! The host was helpful with our never-ending-questions before and during our stay. The rooms where clean, presentable, nicely decorated and is close to the most-go beaches: Flamenco and Tamarindo. Looking forward to staying there again :)

We stayed at Mango Fish right after it changed ownership, but communication with both the owner and property manager was spot-on. The guesthouse is well-located, with the market just down the street, close to the airport, and a good midway point between the beaches on either end of the island. It's just a short drive to "downtown," as well. We would recommend renting at least a UTV, since not much can be walked to from Mango Fish besides the market. Our only unpleasant surprise were the roosters, which are all over the island and not a Mango Fish-specific problem. Just use headphones or ear plugs, and it's all good. We recommend Mango Fish because of the clean and well-kept guesthouse (we stayed in the Casita), nice island amenities (cooler, beach chairs, a little cooking capability, a/c), and helpful property manager at the time of our stay, Jill.

This review has been overdue for sometime now. My husband and I stayed at the Mango Fish Guesthouse before we moved away from the main island of PR. Fred and Lori made our trip very easy to manage and memorable. The guesthouse is quaint and has everything you need for the perfect vacation. Fred's tour of all the best beaches really starts the trip off in the right direction. We found the accommodations perfect for a quiet couple's trip. The grocery store within walking distance was so convenient. Some complain about the roosters, well that is just part of the charm. Since we lived in Puerto Rico we were aware of this and it didn't disturb our sleep. Please know that Culebra is a rural island. The internet and power often go out....that again is part of the charm. Embrace the adventure. We did rent a car so we could tour the island, and I highly recommend taking a water taxi to Culebrita. Whenever I make my way back to Culebra, I will stay here again.

Was a great choice for a place to stay. The room was quite comfortable and Lori & Fred were very hospitable. The location is very handy to both town and the beach. The extras (beach towels, cooler, beach chairs) were handy and the coffee maker in the room was wonderful.

Are there bikes available for guests to use? Or is there a good bike rental not that far away?

Hello, There are not bikes availabe at Mangofish, but there is a woman that rents bikes. I emailed her this morning to confirm she still does this. I have not heard back yet. Last I heard she does though.

"Don't worry about needing and water toys, cooler and beach chairs they have them to borrow. Each room has a ceiling fan which was very adequate for the warm Summer nights. It was so homey and comfortable. If you need anything the owners are on site to help."
