My Husband & I have just come back from Mandarin Oriental with friends.
What a wonderful experience from the transfer from Barbados to the Hotel.
All the staff from management to housekeeping, waiting staff & both our butlers were exceptional. Attention to detail in all areas was exceptional also.
We loved our tour of the village & our little boat trip over to shell beach.
Thank you to all involved.
We will be back as soon as we can.

The Mandarin Oriental Canouan is the best kept secret in the Caribbean for luxury travelers. The resort reopened only a few weeks ago after recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Beryl. The island is friendly and accommodating to tourists. The 1,200-acre Canouan Estate property is mostly a nature preserve with two private beaches in addition to the main beach at the resort. Shell Beach is still under repair. It is a vigorous 2.5-mi walk from the hotel, and offers a calmer Atlantic-side beach for swimming and water sports. L’Ance Guyac Beach, a short van ride to the Caribbean side of the island, features a quiet, protected cove for snorkeling as well as an open air French-inspired restaurant. The Mandarin staff will arrange excursions pretty much anywhere you wish to explore on the island. There is also an 18-hole golf course on the estate, but we did not play during this trip. We were delighted to be assigned a butler upon check-in. Our butler, Rayshorn, was incredibly helpful, and it’s clear that the Mandarin prioritizes customer service training for all of its associates. Our suite had a stunning ocean view with the ability to open the massive terrace doors to the enjoy the tropical breeze. We enjoyed a relaxing couples massage at the spa overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. While the property and amenities are 5-star, it’s really the people that make the place truly special. We will be back again and again.

We travelled by plane from St Vincent and was greeted by staff at the airport with refreshments and taken to the hotel. This hotel is what you call luxury! Absolutely amazing rooms. As it was my birthday we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. The butler was good but sometimes hard to get hold of but that wasn’t really an issue for me. Once arrived we had coconuts with our names engraved which was such a thoughtful touch! We joined the mandarin club so got breakfast included which was really handy! The pool was immaculate as was the beach. I would say for me personally I wouldn’t stay for longer than 3 days unless with a partner as there’s not much to do but as we were there for carnival, our duration of time was perfect.

The rooms were beautiful and finished to a high standard with marble everywhere. The shower was incredible and I wanted to live in there! The mirror tv was also a lovely touch. We also received complimentary champagne and snacks on arrival.
Food is pricey but was expected, also it was hard to get around the island and once anyone knew which hotel we were staying at, they upped the price. I would recommend going to town or
The dock to look for cheaper prices for excursions as the hotel prices were extremely expensive.
Everything in the room was complimentary including all snacks and drinks

Would definitely come back when visiting st Vincent again. Even if it’s for 1 night

Also check out the little turtle hut, if not there’s turtles everywhere on the island anyway

Our family vacation was made extra special by our stay at this hotel. The kids were thrilled with the pool and the game room, while we parents appreciated the spacious rooms and the helpful concierge who guided us to family-friendly attractions. The hotel restaurant even had a great children's menu, which was a lifesaver after long days of sightseeing. It's not easy to find a place that caters to both adults and children, but this hotel nailed it.

This is far and away the most beautiful resort we have ever visited. The rooms are beyond spectacular and the views are sublime.
It is very remote so you do have to get on well with your companion!
Every one of the staff are there to make your stay perfect and nothing is too much trouble.
All you have to do is message your Concierge and the job is done!
Food at breakfast and lunch was excellent and we ate a couple of times at the Lagoon Cafe in the evening, which was also very good (if empty)
This is a stunning location and perfect if you need to just “flop”.
Stand out Staff wise were Gideon, who gave us a fantastic tour of the island and our two delightful Concierges….Iola and Kia.
Highly recommend

We stayed a week in a waterfront beach suite. Overall, we enjoyed our stay as avid Fans of Mo worldwide we found the beachfront suite amazing with the ocean view, but the room was a bit dated and needs less pink IMO.

The restaurant situation was lackluster with only one restaurant choice per night out of the 5 on the resort. The staff was amazing and very sweet... They looked like they were trained to serve in a certain way and if you asked a question or requested something out of the ordinary it broke their concentration. However, Jennifer and her team in the mornings were above and beyond perfection! Breakfast was the best part of our meals there!

Also, we found ourselves going over to the Soho House during the day to visit the beach, because they have a much better experience. They have music, free popsicles, cold towels served on the beach and special complimentary drinks served all day. Something the Mo should also be doing, but do not.

The worst part of the beach at the Mo was the seaweed that had washed up and the tractor with it's diesel smoke blowing on us the entire day. We were told that this would only last one day, but it was like that for the entire trip. It wasn't their fault that mother nature creates such a mess, but the tractor and it's pollution was not good for relaxing and sunbathing. They told us it would only last one day, but it went on for the entire time of our stay.

The pool and pool bar were not all that either... Drinks were not well made and the Sunday BBQ was lackluster.

One last thing, we had some issues with food quality and when the guest food and beverage person visiting from Lake Como asked us if everything was alright, we quickly told him to have a seat so we could tell him... He then got nervous and just smiled and walked away.

Anyway, overall it was a nice trip, but we will not be going back.

We traveled to Canoun and stayed at the Mandarin Oriental. It was our first time to the Grenadines. Getting there was tough (no direct flights, multiple covid tests to get in, 2 separate customs/immigration stops, etc) but the hotel offers a concierge option- TAKE IT! It's worth it and makes everything easy. The property itself is great, the water spectacular (especially for snorkelers) and the service top notch. I'd say the spot is better for older kids, but my 11 and 8 year old were very happy there and so were the parents :). A butler was provided to us, and I believe every family gets this complementary service. ASK FOR AKEAH. She was wonderfully attentive, never on top of us, and made it so easy for all of us to enjoy everything this wonderful resort has to offer.

Would have given the 5 stars but I must say the island is so remote that the markup is profound, especially on property. About 30% more in general than off property, so would recommend checking out other restaurants (Soho Club, Shenanigans, and Foxy Jacks all VERY Good!). enjoy.

We have lived all over the world and traveled a lot in the areas we have lived... the week we spent here stands out to each and every member of our family. And we can't wait to go back.

For my husband and I, what differentiated the MO Canouan was the service. Phenomenal team, exceptionally trained to anticipate your every need in the most natural and unobtrusive way possible. Our unassuming family, much in need of some quiet R&R when we arrived, felt completely cared for here. We were beyond impressed.

The kids, aged 7 and 8 at the time, loved everything about Canouan. What they continue to mention (and write about at school!) is the "turtle farm", which hosts rescued baby sea turtles that you can handle, snorkeling near deserted cays, and just the overall family experience and bonding. They went to a cooking class one day and adored it!

I can't say enough good things about our experience. It was perfect for a busy family to just chill for a week, immediately post-relocation/stress. Thank you again to the amazing team and hotel!

(NB we went in 8/23, but the earliest date I could select in the drop-down was 9/23)

Never have I felt more at home while being away. The warm smiles from every staff member, the cozy reading nooks scattered throughout, and the incredibly comfortable beds made this stay unforgettable. The evening social hours were a wonderful touch, allowing us to meet fellow travelers. The location was perfect, and the concierge's recommendations were spot-on every time.

We have just spent a blissful 10 nights at this spectacular hotel.
The staff look after you so well and are a pleasure to be around. So helpful and always smiling. Nothing is too much trouble.

The hotel is a footprint of the wonderful Sandy Lane in Barbados, also one of our favourite hotels. Same decor and furnishings .

The food in all the restaurants was outstanding with lovely fresh tropical foods from the Island.

I’ve never felt so well looked after and relaxed from a holiday.

The hotel and Island was quiet as it was November time but I understand festive holidays and Easter are very busy but we actually enjoyed the peacefulness.

We will definitely return to this very special Island and Hotel.
