Lovely setting for a quiet weekend escape, which is not too far from Sydney. We had a great dinner at the restaurant. Our room was very clean with comfable bed. However pool area could do with some attention.

Our mini-break was fabulous. Very impressed with hotel, staff and facilities. We stayed in a very spacious upstairs room overlooking the garden. Thoroughly enjoyed everything Peppers had to offer and would love to come back again.

The location was perfect, in easy reach from Canberra and Sydney. Staff, amenities and service was just what we wanted. Would have loved to explore the grounds a little more but we were time restricted.

Used this hotel as a location for a business conference for 27 people. The bedrooms were good size & bathrooms immaculate - the site itself was very tranquil and peaceful. The best thing about this venue was the staff - they couldn't do enough for us, accommodated every request with a smile. Praise must also go to the chefs, the...

Food is overpriced, overcooked and not fresh. No other option unless you want to drive to Moss Vale. Wouldn't be rushing back considering how much the trip cost us in total for the weekend. Far better value elsewhere.

The evening meal was excellent complimented by a well designed wine list with local wines included. Breakfast was however disappointing - suggest a trip into Moss Vale as a better option if you can wait.

Enjoyed accommodation, golf, degustation dinner and breakfast in Katers. Easy drive from Sydney and perfect for a one night stay or longer. Unfortunately had to leave early due to family medical emergency but will be back.

We had a brief one night stay and enjoyed the restaurants in the area. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. A pair of slippers would have been the cherry on top ! Will definitely stay again .

We stayed at Peppers Manor House as our stepping stone for Sydney-Sutton Forrest-then via Kangaroo Valley to Kiama-Sydney. (A round trip packed with beautiful scenery.). On our way we went to Artemis Winery, Mittagong, for wine tasting & cheese board, and bought delicious wines. Then onto Peppers Manor House. Absolutely gorgeous property. Lovely Garden Suite room. Husband had a round...

Well suited to 40-45ppl groups wanting an exclusive corporate getaway. Beautiful location with one of the most accommodating and friendly staff. Restaurant and courtyard area is very inviting and facilities were perfect for our needs. Rooms were very spacious and clean, highly recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Peppers Manor House is set on a beautiful Southern Highlands estate and provides an experience of life and leisure at one of Australia's grand country houses. Built in 1926, the house was originally home to the Katers, a pioneering grazing family, and has retained its original country charm. During winter, an open fire burns continually in the Great Hall and in summer meals are served in a leafy courtyard with drinks by the pool. Wake up refreshed and enjoy the views of the estate from your elegantly appointed room or suite. The setting is tranquil, the decor charmingly luxe. Highland Queen Rooms, Highland King Rooms, Garden Wing Deluxe, Garden Wing Suites and the Elizabeth Broughton Suite (in the original master bedroom), form part of the historic home, with an adjacent Garden Wing taking full advantage of the country views. The retreat offers the 18-hole championship Mount Broughton Golf Course and Country Club, tennis, boules, lawn bowls or be rejuvenated with a bushwalk or a gentle stroll around the beautiful gardens and cool off with a swim. Be pampered with the retreat's range of massage therapies and beauty treatments, or relax with a good book and a glass of wine in front of the open fire. Katers Restaurant at Peppers Manor House in the Southern Highlands offers diners a truly world class experience. The magnificent country estate setting and celebration of fresh seasonal produce will ensure an experience to be remembered. Open for breakfast, lunch, traditional afternoon tea and dinner daily, there's no need to wait for a special occasion. Try the Pan fried barramundi served with Morton Bay bug cannelloni and squid ink crumbs or Angus beef fillet served with red cabbage puree, corn cake and Cabernet jus. And for something really special at this multi award winning restaurant, there's a delicious 5 course degustation menu, available with or without matched wines. The surrounding area has something for everyone, including horse riding, mountain biking, trout fishing, historic villages, antique shopping or winery tours. The Highlands area offers a delightful environment to seek antiques and rare books, arts and crafts, or that perfect escape in a National Park. ... more   less
