We stayed in one of the new cottages in front of the Inn (very quiet). Our room was not ready when we arrived and they asked us to wait in the bar downstairs. Most so-called fine hotels would have had us wait in the very nice front parlor next to main reception with its beautiful views, and given us a glass of prosecco to sip while we waited, but not today I guess. No biggie. We went downstairs and purchased glasses of wine and a large cheese plate, which was delicious and artfully arranged. The bartender was very nice and took good care of us. The breakfasts we had on Saturday and Sunday (room service) were both good. Some of the food items we ordered were missing on Sunday AM but we called the front desk and they fixed it promptly. Overall I would say the service level was a tad 'uneven' but the staff were pleasant and the bartender was great both days we interacted with him. We had trouble understanding how the shower worked regarding water temperature. We called room service and they came to our room and explained how to make it work. The staff member was very nice. I wish the room had a book that explained how things worked. A nice new room but no documentation. The shower fixture was nice but no labels on anything. (hot, cold etc.)

What a lovely way to spend a Sunday! A wonderful and leisurely brunch followed by an awesome massage. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and the massage was SUPER relaxing. Can't wait to go back.

We just got back from a “fall leaf” trip. This was the place we stayed on our last night. It was the highlight of our trip! We stayed in the cabin “on the hill”. It was a two room suite with two porches, kitchenette, heated floors and towel racks in the bathroom, a luxurious king size bed. I have been all over the world and never been as pampered as I was there. The turn down included dessert left in the kitchen, and bedroom slippers by our bed. Coffee, newspaper and Beignets were delivered at 7am, per our request. The restaurant is amazing and I’m a foodie. The view from our cabin was breathtaking. It is a destination in itself. Don’t tell them that they don’t charge enough, ok?

My wife and needed a one night anniversary getaway. I’m not a B&B guy, can’t stand the old furnishings and odd vibe, this place is not that. It has all the charm of a great B&B with a more modern updated vibe, it’s really something special.

We arrived several hours before check in, grabbed some vineyard passes for a free tasting, and headed out for some wine while our room was prepared. The vineyard was fantastic and was a nice prep for our return to Willow Groove.

The main building is gorgeous and the property if first class. Our room, “creekside 9” was unassuming from the exterior but so amazing in the inside. Beautiful decor, cozy fireplace, private entrance and the bedding was just about heaven. We could have spent days locked up in there.

Check in was easy, staff was very friendly, room was spotless.

We had a drink at the bar and dinner at Vintage, food was really good and Andrew at the bar was attentive and nice to chat with.

We’re already planning our return trip.
Thank Stuart P

Came for a birthday weekend. This Inn markets itself as serious luxury. On its face that appears to be the case, and for the prices it should be the situation. However, the Inn needs some work to be luxurious. The cottage was nice and well appointed but the bath sink did not drain and the shower head did not work properly. The towel heater did not work and the kitchen faucet was broken. There is no coffee maker in the room so you only get coffee at an appointed time whether you like it or not. That seems odd since the Inn touts it’s concierge butler service. I never saw what I would call a butler, except the creepy mannequin in the lobby area. A luxury hotel would provide every type of sweetener but not here. Sugar and Equal are it. The bed was very comfortable and the two porches are nice. The restaurant also suffers from a timing problem. At brunch we were allotted 11:30 am even though at 11 am it was empty. We cancelled and went elsewhere. The dinner the night before was good and service was attentive. However, it is gross to have your server wearing a bright blue bandaid on her thumb touching your plate. That is not high end. No one at the front desk or restaurant answers the phone about 1/2 the time. And no late check out past 11 am even though the restaurant does not open until 11 am. The grounds are nice but the alleged walking path is an overstatement. Overall, the Inn vastly oversells itself as luxury. It is a nice place but needs maintenance now. I likely would not return without some guarantees these issues are fixed. I had hoped for much more for my birthday weekend.

The most difficult reviews to respond to are those that involve dialogue even before the review is posted. We appreciate your coming to visit with us recently and we are pleased that for the most part you enjoyed your stay. We will be replacing the expensive high end Kohler shower heads in all three Overlook suites with another brand that we hope will address the water pressure issue that you mentioned. We also inspected the “broken” Kohler kitchen faucet and found that it was working as designed... this faucet spins and has a pull out spray. The spray portion just needed to be pushed back into its place. Since the faucet spins it moves just a bit but that is normal for this model. We noted that the heated towel rack had a short that needed repair which was completed immediately. As for the brunch issue, our hostess, Katrina , was aware that a group of 30 guests were reserved for 11 AM but were arriving a bit late. She did not want you caught up behind them which could have effected your service. So she wanted to seek her managers opinion. You decided to then go elsewhere. All in all, we could have handled this better. We spoke just after your departure and had a very positive conversation with the hopes that you would visit again in the future. To which you replied “absolutely”. We hope that your next visit lives up to your expectations! We are certain it will.
