Like all the Spicer's properties this does not disappoint, however probably more family orientated than the others. We had a valley room which was very pleasing as no children seemed to be in this area. The food was exceptional, paddock to plate and a truly focal point of our stay. Loved the concept of the log fire at night to...

Spicer's Hiddenvale was exquisite in every detail. Great location, service, facilities, food, drinks and staff. Cottages were beautiful and private. We had a wonderful time and will be returning again.

Even though we only stayed the one night, this was an absolute treat for my wife and I. Not into mountain biking, but we certainly enjoyed the walks, and if the weather was warmer, would have hit the pools. If you are a bit shy, you would avoid the infinity pool, as it is directly against the restaurant / bar...

Loved staying at this property and would recommend it to anyone. You can make the trip as active or inactive as you like and the service will meet your needs whatever they are. Perfect for most occasions.

This hotel is a cut above all the rest. I'm already looking for excuses to go back. The facilities are immaculate, and the food was divine. There is so much to do or not. I only spent 2 days here but have come away feeling more relaxed than any other holiday I have taken.

Woken by music coming from the barn at 7am and the mountain bikers congregating near our suite. Music was turned down (not off) approx. 3/4 hour after requesting this, therefore not the relaxing stay we had hoped for. Also not very private due to the eating facilities set up outside our suite and main thoroughfare for the community to use...

Enjoyed the stay and the peace and quiet. It was a bit difficult to get meals anywhere else and those on site were very expensive. The staff were very friendly and helpful and were the stars of the whole visit. The quality of the accommodation was good.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. Picturesque and secluded, it has a beautiful colonial/rural feel. The staff were fantastic, the food was amazing and the accommodation was awesome. This place is a must visit!

I attended a wedding and you couldn't have asked for a better location. As soon as you arrive you instantly feel relaxed and don't have a care in the world. The standard of the luxury suite we stayed in was as it should be and certainly would love to return to stay a little longer. The restaurant has great food...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Just an hour from Brisbane set on a stunning 12,000 acre property, Spicers Hidden Vale is a true hidden gem. The retreat is centered around a stunning historic homestead with wide verandas providing views over the little Liverpool Ranges and infinity rock pool. Hatted restaurant Homage is housed inside the homestead where a dedicated team of chefs create masterpieces based entirely on local produce. The original barn is still standing and has been restored, now a place to lounge and relax by the fire, or have beverage or two looking out over the 89 bed market garden. You can set your own pace - for those wanting to relax, there are picnic points, Spa Anise Day Spa, and two beautiful pools with mountain views to relax in. For those wanting a faster pace, there are mountain bike and bush walking trails, 4WD property tours, laser clay and archery. Being a nature refuge, the land is abundant with native wildlife including hundreds of Kangaroos and Wallabies and regular koala sightings. Spicers Hidden Vale has 31 rooms. Choose from Valley View Rooms which overlook the mountains, each with their own private veranda, Heritage suites which stand alone and have their own spa, a cottage for 4, 8 or even 12 guests or for the ultimate experience, Luxury suites which are stand alone, with spacious lounge, spa and private veranda. ... more   less
