Our hosts Colin and Philip could not have made our stay any better. The house is interesting and quirky, and a real antidote to the modern boxes we have stayed in as we worked our way around Oz. Some of the best breakfasts, and undoubtedly the best sausages, we experienced on or travels. The included tour of the Seppeltsfield winery...

The Lodge Country House, located in the picturesque and historic surrounds of Seppeltsfield, is a delightful place to base yourself while exploring the Barossa Valley. Set well back from the road and surrounded by pretty gardens, tall trees and a sweep of grapevines, the lovely old stone house is as welcoming as it could be. The large guest living and...

The host was extremely friendly and ensured we felt welcome and at ease in the Bed and Breakfast. There was complimentary tea, coffee, confectionary and snacks and we had our every need met. My only comment would be that the bathroom was a little dirty and the gardens run down, however the rest of the house was very clean and...

We were trying to find a decent place to stay in the Barossa with friends over from Melbourne. We made the mistake of trying to book 6-8 weeks out (Tip: start earlier for long weekends!) and all our usual haunts were sold out. The Lodge Country House wasn't and aren't we glad. This place has such a great vibe. It's...

I very much enjoyed the stay at the Lodge in Seppeltsfield. It was with a feeling of being at home, but still in another part of the world. Our hosts, the breakfast, their dogs, the atmosphere was great and I would not doubt when coming back to Barossa that I would try to stay here again.

Colin was very helpful and friendly. The room was superb and furnished with wonderful antiques. The room was quiet. Breakfast each morning was excellent and the location was perfect. We were able to sit by the pool or tennis courts at night and enjoy a glass of wine from the local vineyards

This is a lovely old building, very comfortable. Phil and Colin are great hosts and make a superb cooked breakfast. There is a large communal sitting room with an extensive honour bar. On request they cooked us a superb meal and also recommended an excellent restaurant in Tarunga, 1918, for our other night.
