A beautiful 8km drive down a windy dirt road brought us to the beautiful wooden lodge, where we were greeted by pleasant staff and swiftly directed to our cabin. Our cabin was clean and cosy, and being elevated provided a serine feeling of being amongst the treetops. Being in the "wilderness" you will depend on the restaurant for meals, fortunately...

On our penultimate night on our Tasmanian holiday we decided to stay somewhere that, for us, was special; well, it seemed to appear so from the promotional material. Some call it 'luxury' while to others it might be run of the mill. For us this was expensive, luxury accommodation. The accommodation is in log cabins. Ours was opposite the main...

8 Kms of very well maintained white windy road into the retreat through spectacular rain forest with fantastic views. Lovely friendly and courteous staff who couldn't do enough for us. Arriving after 6, we were still able to book in and enjoy a very filling dinner .Breakfast each morning was amazing, plenty of variety and hot buffet was very hot...

Getting to the retreat starts with a 8 km trip on gravel road and ends up in the deep forest. If you like plants and trees it's definitely the place to be. We were more interested in the hidden champions the wombats and going back and forth this road is a bit nasty. We spent two nights and chose the...

We spent one night at Lemonthyme and it was just lovely. The staff were really friendly and the accommodation warm and cosy with views to die for. The highlight was seeing the local wildlife be fed at 8.45pm for free. The cabin was lovely and had a great balcony area to sit and enjoy the views. The full buffet breakfast...

My partner and I loved our stay at Lemonthyme lodge. The lodge was clean, cosy and the bed was incredibly comfortable! On the night we stayed we were caught up late at cradle mountain and called the lodge very late to see if there was a possibility of making it back for dinner. Trudy was so lovely and even said...

We arrived here after a long day of travel and were greeted kindly by the young guy on reception (who was also our waiter at dinner). Our room was comfortable, late 90s style. Our dinner was great, we are vegetarian and they kindly offered a few options that weren't on the menu. Breakfast was also pretty good with lots of...

We stayed here for two nights in between Christmas and New Year. Trying to find somewhere reasonably priced in this part of Tasmania at this time of year was difficult and Lemonthyme was recommended to us by a family friend. It’s quite an experience getting to this place – 7 km off the main road on an unfinished but even...

Lemonthyme Retreat is a fairly eclectic place. You are "greeted" with 8km of unsealed dusty gravel road to get to it off the main drag which is mildly frustrating and fouls your car up pretty bad. Once there it reminds me of a sort of summer camp. Duplex villas set in the bushes but not too far away from the...

Long drive thro the forest to get to this rather tired lodge accom. If you like dark log interior then this is for you. Evening meal cold and tasteless. Not much hot breakfast left At 9 so had toast. Very disappointed after a 200k drive. Would not have stayed had I known. I noticed a TripAdvisor Notice of excellence dated...
