As a young couple we had a lovely time staying at The Old Manse. The staff were lovely and very helpful. They gave us a free map and had a good knowledge of the local area and gave us the best recommendations of what to see and do. The breakfast in the morning was heavenly and set us up for...

I didn't expect this place to be nice because of the photos but it was great!. Staff here are really friendly and also very helpful as well ,unlike the other hotels who just doesn't care after you pay for your room. You get to see vineyard just outside the backyard and it feels like you are at the 5 star...

M&M are marvellous hosts. This was a top class experience in every way. Breakfast was deliciously made with local ingredients, room was comfortable and warm, the building is well appointed with strong water pressure and quick hot water. The owners are very friendly and made sure we had a good time. Not enough words for how great this experience was.

Comfortable bed, quality sheets. No TV in bedroom but a lounge room TV near the wood fire place. Spacious bathroom and nice fluffy towels. Wifi was fast and worked well in the lounge and our bedroom. We walked into town for dinner and had many choices - our hosts offered suggestions on several places. Although we only stayed one night,...

This place is fantastic!! The rooms are charming and comfortable, the welcome snacks and vino a pleasure and Megan and Malcolm are amazing humans doing a fantastic job. I was actually quite horrified to read the negative review given to them but reading between the lines it's easy to see that had they voiced their concerns at the time a...

We recently spent four fabulous nights at the Old Manse, and could happily have stayed longer. Although our stay was in early July our room was always warm and cozy, thanks to smart heater and electric blankets. A log fire in the lounge ensured that winter chill was kept at bay. Megan and Malcolm are charming, friendly and thoughtful hosts...

Thank you very much for taking the time to review your stay with us. It was our pleasure to host your time in Martinborough. The open fire in our living room is always popular with our overseas guests and it warms the space beautifully. We are fortunate in this little town to be spoilt for choice when it comes to...

The Old Manse looks inviting from the outside with it's wooden houses. Lowest rate is $ NZ 180 for a room with one radiator and a bathroom so cold that you simply refuse to have a shower. Unfortunately our visit was in July when it is cold, and you would at least expect a warm bathroom. The public area is...
