We spent the night in their spacious rooms. Was quite nice at a reasonable price. We also stayed for drinks and dinner. The food was quite good and we had the Wednesday special: 2 dinners for $30. It is right on the main strip with shops and restaurants in close walking distance. Keep in mind many of he shops close...

We had lunch here a few day while on north island visiting family and friends from UK. The Boys here are just wonderful and have good memories it seems. We sat on the deck front of the hotel and enjoyed the beautiful Rimutaka with our delicious wine and late lunch. Paul is a real entertainment, good sense of humor, Must...

The service was a bit lacking but the food and ambiance were great. It would have been nice the be greeted with a smile but we felt like we were intruding. We had some dishes off the light menu and were really pleased. Water is available for self service off the bar. The toilets are clean and easy to find.

The bar has bare wooden floors, grey walls, no curtains, no visible form of heating (it was a cold day), uncomfortable chairs and sticky tables. My friend and I had one drink and left for...

Hi thanks for feedback we are actually in the middle of painting and redecorating the bar we are doing this in the morning to still be able to open latter in the day.The fire at the back of the bar is on right through winter.

We stayed in the Park Suite 1 which is outside the main hotel building. It is a very spacious room and has a lovely view to the grounds. Overall it was very comfortable, but lacked a luxury feel in the bedding and bathroom. Really it is more like a large standard motel, and given the room rate I did expect...

What amazing staff - travelling with a 2 year old has its trials but when you stumble across a place like this life is so much easier. The barmaid found toys and colouring and looked after us superbly! The food was fab too - excellent chips! Thanks so much!!
