For our anniversary getaways, we always look for a private balcony with a beautiful view. Our Palisades room at the Inn at Riverbend was all that and more! The inn overlooks a winding river with the breathtaking Palisades landforms as a backdrop. The inn itself...More

We are so happy you enjoyed your stay to celebrate your anniversary. Sorry breakfast seems early, but so many couples are hungry and eager to be out on the trails or the river. Just to clarify, the balcony is not technically "private", just set back...More
Had a great stay. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and the views are fantastic. Would definitely stay here again. Great place to relax and get away from home/work. Enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching the sun set.

From sunrise to sunset, the views from the deck (or your room) can be quite spectacular and change from season to season. We are so glad you enjoyed not only the views, but your relaxing getaway. John and Jeanne, Innkeepers
This Inn tucked up on a mountainside in Pearisburg is a gem. We got in for the evening on the spur of the moment. We were graciously welcomed as they had a vacancy. The room was appointed well and very clean. We enjoyed our own...More

I booked a room at the Inn as a little get-away for my husband's birthday and the owners and staff took every opportunity to make it a special weekend for us. Knowing about the special occasion they took the liberty of making reservations for us...More

The Cascade Falls trail head is maybe 6 miles away and well worth it. Relatively easy hike of two miles in and two back out - slight loop to it. If the 4 miles needs to be extended you can go up to Barney's Wall from there. Another more strenuous hike is up to Angels Rest - trail head around 4 miles from the inn. Angels Rest is about 2000' elevation gain in 2 miles along the Appalachian Trail. Non-technical mountain biking about 20 miles away on the New River Trail along the river itself. It is a state park some 50 miles long along a rail-to-trail so not much of a grade. You can grab lunch/dinner at the Draper Mercantile (one can also rent bikes there).
