Delightful, relaxing B&B. Great view of the mountains, the valley and the river. Heaven on earth is a good description. Fun to see the model airplane flying in the valley. Good for bird watchers. Loved all the decks and the waterfall, even in the autumn....More
As described by others, this inn is the crown jewel in a lovely residential setting. Overlooking a river valley and large meadow, mornings won't disappoint when there is a little ground fog waiting for the sun for dispersal.
Breakfast was delicious and served with warm...More

As we entered the residential neighborhood, we were very curious as to what kind of inn we were going to find. Then, as we opened the door to the lovely appointed living/dining room, we could see the promised marvelous view of the river and surrounding...More

My wife and I stayed for one night in September, and our only regret was that we hadn't planned to stay longer. As you approach the Inn by car (or via motorcycle, as was our case), you do not get an indication of it's best...More

The Cascade Falls trail head is maybe 6 miles away and well worth it. Relatively easy hike of two miles in and two back out - slight loop to it. If the 4 miles needs to be extended you can go up to Barney's Wall from there. Another more strenuous hike is up to Angels Rest - trail head around 4 miles from the inn. Angels Rest is about 2000' elevation gain in 2 miles along the Appalachian Trail. Non-technical mountain biking about 20 miles away on the New River Trail along the river itself. It is a state park some 50 miles long along a rail-to-trail so not much of a grade. You can grab lunch/dinner at the Draper Mercantile (one can also rent bikes there).
