My husband and I were married here this past October and it was lovely. It was inexpensive but not cheap. We had the most wonderful time. We were married on the stone veranda downstairs at the main lodge. The food was amazing and Mary's Barn is a beautiful reception location. We decorated with pumpkins, mums, candles and fairy lights. It...

We come here once a year and just love it. Our cell phones do not work and the whole Hotel is just very relaxing and helps you to concentrate on family. The breakfast buffet we did not really care for. Could be way better for a hotel at this price point. They used to have a TV room which they...

First time to stay at Mountain Lake- great food lounge and extra friendly service. Celebrated 60 th anniversary in a peaceful and secluded mountain retreat- plan another visit in the spring. Stayed in the lodge but may consider a cabin with the family next time. Highly recommend for a family get a way.

Was looking for a get-a-way that wasn't too far from home. Happened upon Mountain Lake Lodge and so very glad we did!! Beautiful lodge and cabins, hiking trails, surroundings just magnificent! Very interesting geological mystery about the lake that comes and goes with the decades. It was also great to walk the self-guided tour of the Dirty Dancing locations. The...

We stayed here on a family trip to the Northeast (traveling from Texas). This is not a family friendly resort, and the front desk staff was frankly lazy and unprofessional. Pluses include the beautiful property, the rustic inn, and the bar staff. Our children enjoyed walking around the inn and seeing all the holiday decorations, we enjoyed the food and...

We stayed one night in the middle of winter while traveling so keep that in mind. 'm sure if e spent a few days here in the summer it would be different.. The plusses: The place is unimpressive as you drive up but once inside the main lodge, it's gorgeous: the restaurant has excellent food and the bartender in the...

My husband and I were undertaking a road-trip from Washington DC to Nashville and needed somewhere to stop en route overnight to break it up. He chose Mountain Lake Lodge, because it was nestled in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains and offered lots of opportunity to relax surrounded by nature. Only afterwards did we discover it was used as one...

Very relaxing, beautiful old lodge. Very scenic. We were here to visit our Virginia Tech student and attend a football game in Blacksburg. Staff was so nice and I loved the fact there was no T.V. in our room in the main lodge.

The team stayed one night on the way down to NC. Great history, wish we could've stayed longer. Rooms were small but nice and had a lot of character. The view wasn't bad either. I can only imagine how nice it is in the summer.
