We stayed here one night, on a c2c roadtrip. Ron was a very helpful and welcoming host - and he cooked us an really excellent breakfast too! The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable and everything was super clean, B&B also had fridge and drinks etc. Very good stopover for us, wished we could have stayed longer!

Planed a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway from Rt. 64 to Roanoke. While looking for a place to stay in Roanoke I came across the Black Lantern Inn. We prefer to stay at owner, operator places when possible. On of the best decisions on the whole trip. There are three rooms in this B&B. The whole house was completely...

We arrived on short notice and were made welcome by Ron. Our room was wonderful and the best part was we had access to the den next door so my husband could watch tv while I went to bed. The owner, Ron, took a condemned property and has hand-crafted the restoration. Husband, a craftsman, said the workmanship was the best...

We first stayed here a few years ago when looking for a good stopping place on our trip from Asheville to Washington. Every time we now make the trip, this is our go-to mini vacation. The room we stay in, the Venetian, is one of only 4 rooms, beautifully furnished and with a spectacular bathroom, all built by renovator/owner/operator Ron,...

We stayed in July when we had attended a wedding. Ron was great host and it is an absolutely beautiful B&B. Had a delicious breakfast in the am with good conversation around the table. We stayed in the downstairs room which was so very comfortable. Will surely stay again next time in Roanoke!

Roanoke is about halfway from our home in NY to our kids/Grandkids home in Atlanta and we chose it for our overnite stay on our drive to Georgia. We are so happy we decided to try a B&B, and chose the Black Lantern for our stay. The house is amazing..newly restored and beautifully finished. Our room was the king suite...

Just a fantastic, beautiful and VERY clean B&B. From accommodations to breakfast you will be impressed. Make sure you scan the pics of the renovation by your host and hostess, they achieved a miracle well worth visiting. It is convenient to the local venues. This experience should make the B&B industry proud!!!
