This B&B turned out to be a marvelous surprise. We usually book a room in an elegant hotel in Roanoke for long weekends to visit family, but this visit our preferred hotel was sold out. We decided to check out some B&Bs, and after reading reviews we chose the King George Inn - a large, elegant, stately home built in...

What a wonderful treat to stay at the King George Inn! My husband and I were travelling from PA to NC and wanted a halfway point to stay over. We decided to spend 2 nights in Roanoke and chose the King George Inn based on their website (beautiful accomodations for great price). Our jaws dropped when we actually toured the...

This bed and breakfast is one of the largest ones that my husband and I have ever stayed in. The owners have tried to keep the decor true to the Era of the house while providing modern amenities. It is beautifully furnished, quiet and close to the city. The hosts are gracious and helpful yet still allow you to have...

We could have stayed at a lovely hotel but this turned out to be a better choice, perfectly furnished, wonderful food, great location, we really loved it! You can see the star of Roanoke from the sitting area and can walk to the wild flour restaurant through the neighbor hood of older large homes.

Thank you for your gracious review. Yes, you can wish upon a star from our spacious front porch and stroll through our historic neighborhood. As Spring approaches, the dogwood, ornamental pear and amazing iris collection within the neighborhood make this a magical place to visit....and to live. Lynn and Jim Innkeepers

Lovely home and wonderful hospitality. The rooms and bathrooms are much larger than what you expect at a bed and breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and gave us plenty of energy to hike to McAfee Knob. My only regret to staying here was that we had to leave a day early due to a snow storm. I highly recommend staying...

We had the occasion to be in the Roanoke area to visit colleges with our teenage son..What a wonderfully nice Inn/Bed and Breakfast the King George is...It's recently renovated with great bathrooms, spacious rooms (tastefully appointed) with really comfortable beds!!! A much better alternative from the matchbox rooms of the boring national chain motels/hotels..It was fit for a King, Queen...

Stopped in Roanoke on our road trip from TN to NY. The King George in was the perfect place for us. We took two rooms, one for the parents, the other for our teenage daughters, both were perfect. We stayed in the Elizabeth Room, and had the best night's sleep out of our week long trip! Comfortable mattress, spacious room, and a nice setting. Breakfast was amazing, and the hosts gave great advice about local shops and restaurants, and shared interesting facts about the Roanoke area. The B&B is in a good location, and is a beautifully restored...

Charming. All we needed was waiting as we pulled off the interstate to find this Inn. Comfortable, warm, friendly and scrumptious breakfast. Beds were perfect and the owners were helpful with much knowledge about the area. Our stay was unplanned but we felt welcome!
