Stayed 2 nights for a friend's wedding. Convenient and safe location off US-29. (Note that the location is not in downtown Charlottesville, if that's what you're looking for.) Easy and friendly check-in. I was offered a selection of two items from the pantry as an IHG Platinum member. Large, clean rooms with high ceilings. Bed a bit on the soft side (I prefer firm). Decent hot breakfast buffet (both mornings there were biscuits and gravy, sausage, and eggs). Room is cleaned only on request (I prefer it this way). Only minor issue was discovering that there was a gradual accumulation of eraser-like dust on the desk next to the HVAC, which I reported at check-out. Turns out the HVAC draws outside air (yay fresh air!) and this happens when the pollen clogs it up which happens very quickly in the spring.…
What a nightmare! This place is awful to deal with. The general manager is the most unpleasant unprofessional individual I have dealt with in a long time! We had reservations for May with payment to be made at time of stay. We can cancel free of charge until May 13th. They charged the entire bill to my credit card and now do not want to accept responsibility! Booking.com sends me to the hotel and the hotel sends me back to Booking.com! No one wants to take ownership! The manager, Amy was supposed to call me last night, but that didn't happen either! Needless to say, we will not be going under any circumstances! Filing FRAUD charges with my bank and they can deal with the Clowns!
Found the staff to be friendly and the rooms and other places very clean. Internet worked fine and TV had excellent reception. A little disappointed to find an inoperable alarm clock blinking away with a missing face covering, a running commode, and a shampoo dispenser with no shampoo. The HVAC was also very loud. Things you may expect from a lower tier hotel and not Holiday Inn. Breakfast was a grab n go bag with a bagel, orange and nutri grain bar but there is a Dunkin Doughnuts across the parking lot to provide other options. Overall, this property will not be my first choice in the future considering all the other options 10 miles down the road in Charlottesville.
Made a reservation using cash + points for the thanksgiving weekend. Was visiting my mother and family. Subsequently had to cancel because of Covid. Then i found out the cash portion was not refunded. Rather the jerks IFG decided to keep the cash and convert it to points. I had no choice about it. So they force the purchase of points at a value they determined. This is only shown in the fine print and represents a really sh**ty policy. Of course it doesn't work this way for straight cash purchases. Take your business elsewhere. Don't reward this kind of unethical business practice.
very nasty. rooms smell. shower and toilet not clean. dirt on steps. very nasty. don't stay there. Front desk manager had a black eye. not the impression id like to have regarding my hotel. i would have asked her to leave until it got better. not something guest look for.
I stayed in this hotel for three nights this week. First night I had a neighbor with the TV turned up so loud the pictures on the wall were rattling from 9:30 pm to 7:00am. Asked for assistance from the front desk, who did absolutely nothing. Tonight I return to find a hotel-sanctioned party going full-blast beneath my feet and in the parking lot. I understand that might be okay on a weekend, but on a Wednesday night? And now I’m forced to request a room change so that I can get at least one night’s sleep during this stay-from-hell. Never again....
We came up to visit family for the thanksgiving holiday and decided to stay here. This was our third time staying here I believe. No issues the room was clean when we arrived the hotel was very quiet no noise issues. We had a lovely stay here.
Stayed here during. Virginia trip. It’s not a resort ...it’s a Holiday Inn Express...but it met my needs. While the HVAC was a little noisy & like other hotels, the walls are thin, the room was CLEAN & the staff very pleasant. Has a decent gym, for those wanting to exercise. Free breakfast included, which was ok.
Stayed one night from a break on Skyline drive. Typical Holiday Inn. Check in was quick. Room was clean. Breakfast was fine and attendant on duty always checking and cleaning. Check out no one was at front desk, so wasted some time waiting. But overall a good experience
We got here after aa long day of driving and this place was perfect the hotel staff was great she told us of a great place for dinner and she was right on. the room spacious and clean perfect for your needs
