From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel special by Hosts/Owners Kevin and Sherri. The property is extremely well kept and our room was spotless, well-appointed and comfortable. Many of Sperryville and nearby sites are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, the nights we stayed, but we had a very relaxing time anyway. Breakfasts, prepared both days by delightful assistant Kat, were delicious (we still make Kevin's own special eggs, prosciutto, arugula on toast at home). And, the beer...yes, the beer. We're beer drinkers and rate Brewmaster Kevin's brews Top Notch. We even bought a growler and a pint bottle to take home. Both survived the trip back to Florida well. Our one dinner was at Headmasters Pub, a short 5-minute walk. Big menu. Good food. We anxiously await our next opportunity to return for a not ordinary stay at the "Ordinary".…
From the moment we parked our car at Hopkins Ordinary, it felt like home-away-from-home. Sherri greeted us (by name!) in the parking lot and had so many wonderful suggestions for us all throughout our stay--from hikes to restaurants. Everyone here seemed to take masks and social distancing seriously, which made our stay as much safe as it was fun. Kevin and Sherri were both so genuine and warm-hearted, and I could tell they really cared about us making the most out of our stay with them. The beers are delicious, the private porch area is so relaxing, the bedroom was cool and comfortable. I already look forward to coming back here again someday.
We spent two nights at the Foragers Cottage and it was absolutely delightful. It was clean, well appointed and beautifully decorated. The location was so fun, right next to the beer garden, and steps from a great pizza place, and a distillery just down the street. We met Sherri when we stopped for a quick beer in the beer garden, and she was super nice and helpful (plus the beer was delicious). We would absolutely stay here again in the future, if the opportunity presented itself.
The house is very charming, with lots of character. We loved relaxing on the porch swing right outside our room. The breakfast was delicious and the innkeepers were wonderful hosts. The beer is great too!
We received a 2 night stay as a gift from my daughter and son-in-law. It was wonderful. Sherri and Kevin are the sweetest and friendliest. They make you feel so at home and are very attentive to your needs. The breakfasts were delicious. Our room was very comfortable and spotless....as the entire B&B is. Not a thing has been overlooked in restoring this beautiful building and it is so well cared for. We relaxed on our private balcony, walked around town, day-tripped to Shenandoah Park, ate at local eateries, and visited wineries. Sherri & Kevin were always eager to suggest things for you to do if you wanted. I hated to leave! PS: They have their own brewery in the basement...with amazing beers,,,an added extra!
