Sangat island is a private resort, approximately 45 minutes boat ride away from Coron (free transfer included in room cost). The resort has a limited number of cabins with a view of the beach and water. The resort has a rustic as opposed to modern, pretentious feel to it. There is a lot of space on the beach/ cabin area,...

We arrived at Sangat Island after taking the first boat out of El Nido after the cyclone at NYE. We were tired and a little stressed but from the moment we were picked up by the lovely welcoming Jennifer to our fond farewells at the dock, we were looked after like family. Our initial stay was booked for 4 days...

We visited Sangat Island on new years eve and had planned to stay for 3 nights and ended up extending for an extra 2 nights because we had such a great stay. The staff and service on the island are super. They are very helpful in every department and I was amazed at how smoothly everything ran. The food was...

We looked up several resorts around the area, but for the most part they're all your standard paradise beach resort with infinity pools, luxurious western lodging, international cousine, etc... And that's not what we were after. If I want to get guaranteed sunny weather, professional spa, a perfect pool, free bar, and modern international cuisine, I'll go to the Cannary...

We've just spent 10 fantastic days there. Perfect location, beautiful and calm... Welcoming staff, attentive to and always smiling. Smart and simple rules on energy management. Really good and healthy food, diverse meals every day. Activities well organized, mainly focused on scuba diving (fantastic wrecks), well supervised by true professionals. Simple and really comfortable bungalows without AC and TV (perfect,...

Our review is a little belated (March 2013).. Sangat is one of my favourite designations in SE Asia. Certainly felt like a Robinson Crusoe type experience. By reading previous reviews you can see the resort is not for everyone.. For my (now) wife :) and I it was an awesome experience. The diving was amazing and very well organized by...

Easy to feel away from it all at Sangat Island! Staff are all friendly and helpful, from welcome drink through seeing you off the pier or the beach. Food was great, 4x per day. Enjoyed the social evenings under the stars with fellow guests and staff, as well as the beachfront BBQ dinner party. Jojo and his crew at dive...

My husband and I returned to Sangat, two years after our initial visit, with our seven-month old son. We were a little worried about the baby's comfort with no air conditioning or hot water on this environmentally friendly resort. After researching some of the other options in the area, we decided to take a chance because we knew what to...

I was here two years ago and I came back this year for more! I would describe Sangat as nature friendly. I love that they use solar power and that they have their own desalination plant. Yay for less plastic water bottles! My beachside cottage was awesome. I left it open for the five nights I was there and not...
