Foster Harris is such a wonderful place! John and Diane are the best. My son and I needed two bed--they had a room to suit us! What a pleasure, since so many B&Bs cater to just couples. The room was elegant, with an Italian tile bath that had my son saying, that shower was one of the top five! You...

My wife and I stayed only one night at the Foster Harris House for our mini honeymoon over Memorial Day weekend. It was also the first time we had ever stayed at a B&B. We didn't know much to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised by how homey the place felt. It was also nice how the the rooms were...

We're not B&B people, but Diane and John won us over. We stayed at Foster Harris House as part of a wedding weekend, and we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless. The breakfast gourmet. And the hospitality unparalleled. This is a great value and a wonderful getaway. Thank you, Diane and John, for taking such...

This is a terrific b&b! The rooms are lovely, as nice in person as they look on the website. The bathrooms in the rooms are very modern and spa-like, adds to the relaxing experience. Breakfast is really amazing at Foster Harris. Ours was spinach frittata with proscuitto and purple potatoes, homemade ginger scones. Plus dessert, see attached photo. John and...

This B&B was recommended to us by friends who live nearby, and it was a recommendation we will pass on to others. We found the hosts, John and Diane MacPherson, to be very gracious and accommodating, and the B&B itself is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated. It is located within walking distance to Washington, VA attractions as the Theatre VA,...

FOr us, this B&B has become a destination all by itself. While we originally came across Foster Harris House as a convenient place to stay when making a "pilgrimage" to The Inn at Little Washington, we've come to appreciate that it has far more to offer. This time we came back with several couples for a two night stay, and...

Diane and John are excellent hosts in their delightful 5-bedroom B&B. I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with dinner at Inn at Little Washington and an overnight stay (so we didn't have to drive back to DC after our meal) and Foster Harris House was recommended to me by a friend. I am so glad we stayed here! I'm...

In November, 2011, we stayed at Foster Harris after having a fabulous Thanksgiving meal at the Inn at Little Washington. Little did we know that breakfast the next day would be equally satisfying! We had two large guest rooms, each with large comfortable king or queen beds and with large well appointed baths. The Inn has a lovely view of...
