Overall this was a decent place to stay. I got an excellent deal because of a 4th of July special. If we had paid regular prices, I would have been very disappointed. The location is great for Williamsburg and the other historical areas. The breakfast area is clean and nice and the food was adequate for the “cold” breakfast category. (If you’re not a fan though, there’s a Cracker Barrel and a Golden Corral that you can walk to from the hotel and plenty of pancake houses within driving distance.) The attendant working breakfast was also the housekeeping attendant, and she was great! She was very friendly, and she helped us with new towels and things as they weren’t cleaning rooms every day unless you specifically asked for it. The room itself left much to be desired. The room we were in was our second room due to the fact that our first room hadn’t been cleaned completely and the bathroom door was broken. Our AC in the second room kept things cool but also damp and sticky the whole time we were there. The handles on some of the furniture were rusting because of this. The hotel had been updated within the last couple years but it was not done well. There are unmatched paint patches everywhere, moldings around doors are pretty rough, there was quite a bit of dust and dirt behind the nightstand when I had to plug something in, and the carpet was not the cleanest. The fridge in our room was not in the best of shape either. We were really only at the hotel to sleep, so it wasn’t a huge deal but I probably would not return.…
We stayed at this Sleep Inn which is a great location for both Busch Gardens/Water Country and the Historic district. There are a few restaurants very close by to this location. The rooms were clean and neat. It was affordable compared to many of the other hotels. We were late booking, so I was a little worried about how good the hotel would be, but we were very happy with our choice. The guy at the front desk was very nice to us and we appreciated his hospitality. Poor guy had been asked a million times about the hold on the credit card, it must get really frustrating. Kids loved the pool and we were overall very happy here. I would stay there again in the future.
Super clean hotel...most rooms redone...Andre at the front desk is awesome and upgraded our room to a whirlpool tub..room 124. Quiet and easy to get to from back door. Covid breakfast was passable with wrapped egg burritos or sausage and biscuits...better than others who suspended any breakfasts with Covid as the excuse. Short drive to downtown Williamsburg and an Aldi close by for last minutes needs or snacks. As a Choice member, super impressed with the value at $65/night in February 2021(although I used points for a free room)
This particular Sleep Inn is becoming my first choice for overnight stays in Williamsburg. They accommodate my early check in requests happily over the phone. Seriously, everyone I speak to gives off great energy. They address me by name immediately when I enter the hotel. The hotel and the room is clean and very quiet. I typically don’t sleep well away from home. Their beds and pillows are so comfortable. Crisp, fresh sheets.
Recently stayed here for a few days while busing family because of the loss of a loved one, a little nervous because of the pandemic but our fears were put to rest very quickly, the hotel was very clean and the staff was excellent, all wore mask and were constantly sanitizing all areas, I would highly recommend this hotel if your gonna be in the area, great location to nice restaurants and area attractions, for sure marking this one down for a return trip
