I was looking for a hotel within walking distance of colonial Williamsburg and this hotel filled the bill. I walked the 4 blocks , enjoyed it, took early evening photos, had dinner and walked back. The next morning I returned and enjoyed CW again before the crowds arrived. The hotel is a bit old but the room interior was fine...

Stayed for one night with friends and family, the room was very clean and you get a nice continental breakfast. The staff at the hotel are great! All rooms come with a roll away bed in case you need it!

Budget hotel with small but serviceable clean rooms and an excellent location just steps from Colonial Williamsburg and Merchant Square. Generally friendly staff. Rooms open to exterior; parking "drive up" at many rooms; stairs to second level (make requests if you need accommodations). Outdoor pool only; seasonal hotel closed some portions of the year. Free breakfast is fine but often...

Both of my children received bed bug bites. The hotel confirmed the room had bed bugs. Pay a bit extra for the woodlands. The cost wasn't terrible. You get what you pay for. The shuttle was a nice feature.

Thank you jessicahandley4, be assured this isolated incident has been taken very seriously by the staff and management of the Governor’s Inn. Our guests, past and future, should not be alarmed as there is no bed bug issue at the Governor’s Inn. Professional examinations occur routinely to ensure the highest level of pest control. We apologize, greatly, for the inconvenience...

This is just a stones throw from Colonial Williamsburg and College of William and Mary and a little shopping and dining area in between the two. Basically quiet area although there is an occasional Amtrak train nearby. Clean, pool and a popular breakfast although I did not partake. Definitely a bargain and good choice.

This hotel was a great value and location. It's a part of the colonial Williamsburg hotel list which gives you special perks such as discounts to colonial attractions. The hotel staff was very friendly, the breakfast was continental but offered many different options, and the room was basic, but decent. One of the comforters had some type of stain on...

We stayed overnight this past Sunday and was very pleased with our stay. Our room was clean and the sleep was very peaceful. There are no elevators to get to the second floor.(At least I didn't see any). We had to walk up stairs to get to our room so make sure you request accommodations if you cant walk the...

We visited Williamsburg in June for our first visit with our six year old son. I was hesitant at first due to the pictures I saw on other websites. After I read more reviews we decided to give it a try. For the price and location you can't beat this deal. This is the closest hotel to downtown Williamsburg. We...

This seems to be mainly a family place so it's full of families and noisy kids and may not be so nice for solo travellers and couples. My room was pretty noisy ie I could hear the people next door talking and coughing. Luckily I always bring ear plugs just in case. It is just a short 10 minute walk...

My wife and I stayed here for one night, the check in staff was quick and easy, no major hassles. However, they must be remodeling or having issues with somethings because the power flickered and air conditioning struggled. Parking is weird and you'll be lucky to find something close to your room. Walls are like paper because you can hear...
