We went for a long weekend of relaxing and golfing. Golf was superb, very challenging courses, with interesting layouts, and fun to play. The hotel is running on a limited service standard, and we should be warned in advance about it. There is no housekeeping services, and restaurant running in a limited basis as well. There were no refilling of toiletries nor bottle water, even after we requested it. Williamsburg are was great and we were blessed with great weather.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very proud of our golf courses and the folks that maintain them. The available amenities and services offered are listed on the website as well as updated daily and provided upon check-in. I do apologize if you did not receive that information. I will speak with housekeeping regarding replenishment requested and not provided. We are all looking forward to the day when there is an abundance of workforce available, In the interim, we thank you for your understanding and patience. Please do not hesitate to call upon me personally if I can assist in your return visit. Best regards, james

Kingsmill has been our go-to place ever since the pandemic — in fact we were here just last month and had a wonderful time— but this last trip was a huge let down. We were assigned a condo in Bldg 11, in Richmond’s Ordinary. As we approached the roundabout, we noticed at least 4 construction vans parked by #11, with ladders strewn about the front of the building, as well as propped up against the exterior walls. And this is where they wanted to put us? Buildings 13, 12 and 10 were free and clear. So I drove back to the front desk, explained the situation and asked to be moved. Turns out an owner was having some work done to his unit, but I guess no one had bothered to alert the front desk. We were moved to Building 14, Condo 4231. A lower level unit with a very partial view of the river. The guests on either side, as well as upstairs, were extremely noisy. We heard every conversation and every footfall from the guests upstairs well into the night. We checked out a day earlier than expected.

Overall our 2 nights stay spent in Condo 5001 was great. The resort itself is so clean and quiet. Amazing water views. Food was great except the grilled Salmon. The phones were not working and we had to use our cellphone to call the staff. FD representative was informed but no action was taken.

I spent a weekend at Kingsmill with my sister, and it was nothing to write home about. The main reason to be there seems to be the golf course, which our rooms opened onto. We were woken by weed whackers at our patio doors Saturday morning, and we had to close all the drapes for any privacy because men in golf carts kept zipping right past our ground-floor rooms. We had to pay resort fees even though many amenities are not available due to Covid restrictions; for example, we couldn’t get into the spa, and the restaurant did takeout food only. No room service. The rooms were nothing special—shallow bath like any motel has, not large rooms—but the beds are very comfortable and the rooms were clean. The ceilings/floors are too thin—you can hear everything overhead—so we didn’t get much sleep. All in all, disappointing.

Dear Culture802101, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry that you were disappointed in your room location. did you inquire about changing rooms to a non golf view room? The spa is open on weekends, perhaps it was unavailable because it was fully committed? Eagles Express offers food to go in lieu of room service, either pick up or delivery. I am happy to read that the beds were comfortable and that the room was clean...cleanliness is very very important to us. I would like to invite you back, please do not hesitate to contact me directly so that i may personally secure your reservations. Best regards, james

My husband and I have gone on long weekends a couple of times a yes the last few years and have always loved it. We went this weekend inApril and we’re quite disappointed. The room was not clean (stove was filthy and shower had orange areas from lack of cleaning). They don’t clean room during stay which I kind of understand. They charge a $24 resort fee but nothing is opened. The main restaurant even though it was beautiful weekend and has a jig outside deck was closed. The landing was only open for bar service Fri and Sat that was really slow because there was only one poor bartender trying to deal with a lot of people. On Sunday there were a few people there but it was closed. On Monday morning, even the mill (coffee shop) was closed. If all the services associated resort accept golf are closed, why charge a resort fee? I have never considered price because I always felt it was worth it, but when you’re paying double the price of standard hotel, you have higher expectations. If things don’t change, we won’t be back.
