Total experience was fantastic. Everything was top of the line all the way from check in to check out. I can not imagine a more positive experience. Special recognition to the hostess at the INN. She went way beyond expectation in taking care of my wife's needs.

Agree with an earlier poster. Balcony had damage and filled with insects - clearly had not been cleaned in some time. Bathroom ceiling had damage. Way overpriced for the overall quality. Charging for parking is a money grab and not needed when you are trying to draw people back to staying with you. On the upside, people are very friendly, room was spacious and beds were pretty comfortable. There is a spa with swimming pool. It looked good but we did not use. It is possible that the hotel does not have enough staff to get to everything and that is reasonable given the environment. If you want to walk to everything and just leave your car, it is in a very good location to explore Colonial Williamsburg.

We spent last week in Williamsburg with our grandchildren and stayed at the Wmsburg Lodge. Since we worked at Colonial Williamsburg years ago and know the Lodge very well, we wanted to stay there because of close proximity to the Historic Area but honestly, we weren't expecting much because of staff shortages & problems created by Covid in the past year. Our clean and comfortable rooms were in the Nicholas wing; parking is $15 a day but since bellmen aren't available, it was easy to carry things to our rooms. Check in and out was easy and efficient. One room wasn't ready but we were early so that was expected. We didn't use housekeeping but it was available and the housekeeper was very nice about giving us extra towels and dumping our trash. (I've been yelled at in other hotels by the housekeepers about this!) Walked to Merchant's Square in the mornings for breakfast so the children could see the animals and get rid of some energy but we ate at Sweet Tea and Barley in the evenings. The menu was a bit heavy for the 100 degree heat and it took a long time to arrive (again, expected) but it was very, very good. Other than the extreme heat, we had a lovely few days at CWF and the Lodge (thank goodness for the efficient and quiet a/c!) and highly recommend it. It's across the street from the middle of the Historic Area and the pools/spa, has the bus stop next to it, is within easy walking distance to Merchant's Square and the Art Museums. All of the staff were very nice and helpful, the rate was reasonable and it was great not to have to get into the car to go anyplace except Jamestown and Yorktown. The children loved it and we will definitely be back when it gets cooler.

Room Tip: The newer rooms are in the Nicholas and Tyler wings. We like those more than in the Tazewell...

From start to finish it was an amazing experience. A wonderful time with the family in the spa swimming and sitting in the hot tub, and then thoroughly enjoying the colonial area and then a good time at market square.

This such a great little hotel! The good: - everyone at the hotel was so courteous and pleasant and helpful. - the hotel itself has plenty of charm - location is fabulous to the main part of Coloniak Williamsburg - pools are lovely. A kid friendly pool and and adult tranquillity pool. The not so good: - due to staffing shortages there very limited food options (no room service, restaurant was completely closed for dinner for two nights). Hope things improve once COVID is completely over. - we booked a king suite (not a junior suite), it was a good size, but NO DOOR between the sleeping area and the living room. In my opinion they should not be advertising that as a suite if there is no door! All in all, we were pleased and would return.
