Our room the St James was appointed beautifully, the location good close to the colonial city and William and Mary. The bed was excellent. However, we never saw a host or hostess so we never got to know the layout. We wish we had know there was a serve yourself coffee and there is no breakfast on the premises. The... More

My daughter found Colonial Capital online when searching for places to stay near Colonial Williamsburg. It is a few blocks away, and the walk back and forth is pleasant. In fact, walking around the neighborhood to look at houses was how we spent one evening. Colonial Capital is across the street from William and Mary College. We stayed five nights... More

We stayed 3 nights at this B&B. First, the positives - the breakfast here is the best and largest we have ever had and the location is great. David is an amazing chef and served an incredible breakfast. Now the not so positive. Before arriving we got a call to see when we would be checking in. When we told... More

Location is perfect for a visit to College of William & Mary and/or Colonial Williamsburg. Kathryn and David are lovely hosts. Breakfast is overwhelming and accompanied by Illy coffee. Comfortable and friendly.

We loved everything about this place! It is located within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants of Williamsburg as well as the colonial city. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The owners were very friendly and accommodating, making sure our every need was met. One of the owners, David, is a chef and owns three... More

Wow, the breakfast is UNREAL! Chef David Everett presents a stunning breakfast each morning that I wish I could have stayed and enjoyed all day. I believe the owners have plans to spruce up the interior, and once they do it will be world class around.

We had a wonderful time at Colonial Capital. Kathryn was an amazing hostess, and our room was comfortable and clean. The best part about was the gourmet breakfast, prepared by Chef David Everett. It was just fantastic. We did not expect a world-class chef to be making our breakfast! We had fresh baked croissants, a fresh omelet, Spanish chorizo stew,... More

We are locals and were just looking for a fun weekend away from home. My husband selected this B&B randomly because it was near Colonial Williamsburg and not far from one of our favorite Williamsburg restaurants Peter Chang's. When we got there and the owner mentioned that she also owns three restaurants (which are also some of our favorites) and... More

We were on our 15th anniversary away from our 4 children for the 1st time in two years. The owners were kind, but this B and B is definitely not the heart of their service. They own several establishments in the area and their attention was clearly divided. The house and room were very clean and comfortable. The yard was... More

What a great experience! The owners were welcoming and helped us get dinner reservations our first evening after a day of traveling. The room was clean and cozy. The location of the B&B makes it a quick 10 minute walk to the main shopping and dining area of town. Hands down the best breakfast I've had at a B&B. I... More
