Besides being in a super convenient location for visiting Colonial Williamsburg, and being ultra clean, well laid out, and so nicely decorated, the Fife & Drum Inn has superb customer service. We arrived well after the town had shut down at night, but found an envelope with our name and a key posted on the front door, and freshly baked...

My wife & I recently stayed at the Fife & Drum Inn during a business trip. Although we have stayed in Williamsburg numerous times over the years, this was our first encounter at the Fife & Drum. Accomodations were wonderfully warm & charming. Billy & Sharon displayed true Virginia hospitality with a delicious breakfast as well as lemonade, coffee &...

From the hearty breakfast to the towels tied with twine, Billy and his staff know how to provide an atmosphere that is warm and friendly. Have visited four times now in the last three years and have stayed in just about every room and very pleased. This place is right in the next to colonial Williamsburg and William and Mary....

We stayed here for the weekend. We were looking for something different & this beautiful place totally exceeded all our expectations! Our room was clean, neat and very comfortable. The inn is located right in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg, and is great if you just want to stroll or stop somewhere to get a coffee or have dinner. We...

We were traveling with friends from PA to SC and on our way, we decided to stop in Williamsburg on our return to PA. Thanks to today's technology, we got on our Ipads while in the car, found the Fife & Drum, made the call and they were able to accommodate us for a night for the following week. As...

The F&D is a fantastic B&B in Colonial Williamsburg. The George Washington room is particularly lovely. The staff is friendly and kind, and the breakfasts are delicious. The location is extremely close to the major attractions in CW, as well as to the William and Mary campus. I strongly recommend the F&D.

If you are looking for a charming, clean and friendly place to stay in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg, then this is the spot. Locatioin is perfect: steps from Merchant Square and a few steps in the other direction and you are on the W&M campus. The Deli and Greanleaf restaurants area by W&M are an easy 5-10 min walk...

Billy and Sharon are wonderful hosts, quick to share their knowledge of Williamsburg, both past and present. The Inn is a little hard to find as there is only a sign over a single door at street level. The entire Inn is upstairs, but Billy is at the ready to help with bags. The stairs would, however, be an issue...

The main reason we choose the Fife and Drum Inn was due to its location . We wanted to stay near the historic district so that we could walk to all the attractions. The Inn is very charming and decorated in the Williamsburg tradition. The breakfast was filling and delicious and snacks were available at all times. Our inn keeper...

This inn has a really warm and cozy feel to it. Sharon and Billie were welcoming, helpful and gracious. Room was most comfortable. Great location across the street from numerous shops. I walked everywhere. I would return in a heart beat.
