Last weekend we attended a campout with other members of our camping group. When we arrived on Thursday we went to the office to check in. I was told how much we still owed and a map and other items were given to us and I was told we would have a guide to our site. Since we tow a... More

We travel with a golden retriever who needs room to run after being in the car for hours on end. Candy Hill has the nicest dog park we have ever seen at a campground. It is large, clean, great fencing, and has a bench to sit on. The rest of the grounds are quite attractive, grassy with many trees and... More

Spent just one night here on our travels south. Very clean, friendly and accommodating staff. It was very quiet as we were off season and during the week but we prefer that so it suited us just fine. Candy Hill is pet friendly (we camp with a cat). They offer Good Sam and Military discounts.

The camp ground was very nice and maintained well. We were looking for a place to go on Labor Day weekend. Candy Hill won since no others were available. If you want to go and relax in a country atmosphere with the city right next door, this is the place. We thought all aspects of the stay was pleasant. The... More

Site was okay for a private campground. However the hook ups were on the wrong side and I noticed that the two sites beside us had to share the water hook up. The women that worked in the store were friendly, but the men who worked outside were total jerks. Not friendly at all and I think a starving coyote... More

We were traveling from TN to VA and were caught in traffic and construction work n the highway. We informed the staff several times and were very rude about the fact we were arriving so late. They did accommodate for our arrival but there was no need to chastise us. The place is big, clean, and close to many restaurants... More

Taking us to our site and backing us in was a pleasant surprise. Everybody was so helpful and pleasant. Couldn't believe how well the store was stocked, equal to a Camper World store! New pool great! It even had a chair to help wheel chair people to get into the water. On Friday night, we were taken into town for ice... More

We pulled in for an overnight stay on our journey home from NC to NJ. This campground is beautiful. I would not hesitate to stay for a vacation. There are many amenities & it is so well maintained & clean. The sites are plentiful & decent in size. GREAT PLACE FOR FAMILY VACATIONS or COUPLE GETAWAY!

We are camping here for 5 nights. The good things include helpful staff at store and taking us to our site. Small but clean laundry, reasonably priced. Clean pool. Price with Good Sam discount was OK. The not so good things are very small sites. Even though we did not have children with us, they placed us at the playground.... More
